one more question, i saw another video where somebody said that thirs doesnt save their game data for some reason. are they all like that or does yours save game data?
hey tell me what folders you hhave on yours i had mine a year and used a 256mb sd i switched to a 1gb recently and now i cant save games idk what the problm is i think i had a save folder before but somehow copying back to 1gb i must have lost it but either way it doesnt save and i tried switching between the 2 save options
let me know asap thanks also let me know how to setup and get those gb gbc emulators
I haven't done anything with my flash cart recently, and don't remember enough to help. :S Sorry. I'd ask someone online about moving stuff to new SD cards...
3:00 you accidently made a mistake there. 32MB games like Mother 3 and KH Chains of Memories need to be boot by copying the game to NOR memory by pressing select and selecting copy, not by holding the select button. To get to the NOR memory just go to the root directory on the games list.
Thank you, this has been very helpful. I have bought a good number of GBA games, but with stuff like Mother 3 or Fire Emblem; Fuuin no Tsurugi (The one with Roy in it) this is a very nice thing to have.
@WildWolfG Two weeks, unfortunately. Eh, I can't complain for free shipping. The company is very efficient- they sent me an email with shipping info as soon as they sent it.
why are you using a micro in the vid and on the link where we can get the sd card from it says micro? Are you saying that i need to have a mini sd adapter?
@RazorRetro Sorry for the late reply. I put a MicroSD into a MiniSD card adapter, which I then put into the EZ Flash IV itself. The port in the EZ Flash IV fits a MiniSD card only, which is why I needed the MiniSD adapter for the MicroSD.
@RazorRetro 1. You have to download illegal, but free ROMs. This is why flash carts aren't very readily available in the US, the only way to put games on them is illegally. :\ Putting them on the cart itself is basically plugging an SD card into a computer, dragging over a ROM of a game you downloaded onto it (or in this case, using a program), and putting it back into the flash cart to play.
2. Various websites provide ROMs. emuparadise.me is a popular choice.
@RazorRetro No... DS games aren't going to play on a GBA... if you want to put this into the GBA slot on a DS Lite though so you can play DS games, that's different (and not my area).
@RazorRetro I will add though that ROMs, like pirated music or movies, are not actively searched for, or cared about by authority in general. You won't get in legal trouble for owning them. Some people say ROMs are legal if you own the physical game, or if you delete it in a certain amount of time, but these are not true. Whether or not you want to use them is a moral issue. I don't think there's anything wrong about them at all, as long as support is still given to Nintendo when they rerelease.
@LinksOcarina7 It's a URL... copy and paste it into the browser window, remove the spaces, and it will take you to the Mother 1+2 link. (For some reason, YouTube doesn't let you post direct URL's so that's why you have to put the spaces in like that.)
@turbobladez Converting a video to .gba would probably be the best way to do it, but I've never had any experience with that outside of games. :\ I would just try to Google around, or maybe ask on a flash card forum.
@vree360 I consider the fact that there's no way you can even get this working without unofficial help forums and wikis as user-unfriendliness, but maybe THAT'S JUST ME. It's by no means unusable, it's just very idiosyncratic. Note that I still "highly recommend" it. :P
oh and one other thing, im pretty sure turning off my gameboy everytime i wanna pick a new game is not good for it... im scared the slider will one day rub down to the point where it wont work
so is their a way I can soft reset back to the gba game selection screen
@turbobladez Not that I'm aware of, but I really don't think you'll have to worry. You would have to be turning off the system to change games normally, anyway.
you can always get tweezers to get the mini SD out.

Not user friendly? Wtf
I have this card for years now, it's freaking easy as hell. Oh no using a program....
Also if you flash the card to the latest firmware you will get rid of the japanese text.
For the latest firmware check Gbatemp . net => Downloads.
