So sadly, my boyfriend and father live with me. They WILL NOT get ride of ANY of their terrible foods. It is hard to keep on track with all that easy to access frankenfood staring me right in the face!!! Please I need advice or suggestions!!! Also, my boyfriend is SUPER skinny but he NEVER EVER eats vegetables (he hates anything that crunches) he only eats frozen burritos and Pizza bites...how can I get him to eat better I want him to live as long as me!!!
@leansecrets Oh, and in Europe healthy TSH should be somewhere in between 0.4 and 4.0. So weird. No one here would prescribe you drugs when you have TSH ~2. When I was 12 I've had first symptoms of hypothyroidism with TSH around 2 or 3 and they said I was fine...
I honestly think soy is getting so much negative attention these days because of popular films/books such as Skinny Bitch, Food Inc, Forks Over Knives, and Fat Sick & Nearly Dead influencing our diets. Non GMO handcrafted soy items have been consumed by the Asian population for literally thousands of years, and they are known for their longevity. I think the USDA (dairy and meat corp.) is starting to sweat as more people go veg/vegan and use soy products as meat/dairy substitutes.
Hey there! I have not read any of those books. My opinions are very unbiased, and supported by months and months of reading, research, self experience, and experience from working with clients...especially before doing videos like this. I LOVE the taste of most soy products, and wish they were good for fat loss...but the stack of evidence pulls far too strongly against it. As for Asian cultures, their diet is not soy based, and they don't consume nearly as much soy as most think.
Heya, I love this video :) Can you make one on your typical day of what you eat please and how you would alter it depending on your workouts? Thanks xoxo <3
i dont really like to eat meat so i buy meatless things like meatless chicken nuggets and breakfast sausages and are made out of soy i think? lol ... are they bad for me to eat?
I actually have a slow thyroid, and this video has helped me more than my doctor has over the past three years! Thanks for the awesome video! Btw, do you reccomend eating something before exercising early in the day?
Hi Brenda love all your videos ... started working out about 2 weeks ago ... finally found my motivation...but i just don't see any (zero) change... so i'm adding your cardio routine and the full body work out to my routine ... i also want to add brown rice for lunch with some fish and veggies ... however i don't know WHICH KIND OF OIL ... i should use TO COOK it with... HELP PLEASE????
I have always had a problem eating. I forget to eat, I usually realize that I should eat when I feel faint and can't focus. I end up eating 1 meal a day most times. I've noticed that it is harder for me to lose weight. My current goal is to live healthy, not to just loose weight. I would like to ask you a question. Could you go through an ideal list of recipes that you would make for breakfast lunch and dinner on an average day?
@livelovelearnlaf eat as many fruits and vegetables that you can in a day, at least 5 times in a day. drink loads of water, if using milk, use low fat milk. a warm breakfast can boost your metabolism. cut out sugar where possible. reduce portion sizes and have skinless chicken, fish or sirloin steak for dinner instead of higher fat meats. one egg a day is perfect...one egg has about 70-80 calories and is filling. eat slower, as it takes the body 20mins to realise that it is full
@enticx i would really recommend acai, which is a reasonable price and should be in a local health store. it is like getting a detox, clears out the crap from your body and replaces it with loads of vitamins. along with a good diet and exercise it has helped me lose extra weight
Hi there. First, I'd like to thank you for all of your videos. They are incredibly interesting and inspiring. I don't know about others, but I'm now definitely motivated enough to lose weight and get healthier. However, I have to ask you a question. I was playing volleyball for many years and so my arms and calves have become a bit too musculous for my taste considering I'm a fan of the skinnier bodytype. Do you think it's possible to lose muscle, too through diet and exercise and if so how?
I eat jicama with chilli powder, its so good! Well anyways I want to lose weight i bought your kit already but the problem is that I don't really have much time to do all this only on some days. Like I wake up at 6 to go to my college, by 11:30 im out and by 12 im at work and i dont get off untill 6:30. And when im not in school or work im doing homework. So I need help on what or how to make this work for me. Pleasee!!(:
You probably never eat fried foods but jicama goes well in vegetarian egg rolls too. You can bake them instead of frying or use in fresh spring rolls with rice paper.
So, If you are diagnosed with hypothyroid, and it is something you acquired after poor eating/lifestyle habits, can it be reversed? A little back history. Was 360+ lbs with binge eating as an issue, dropped to 250 through some pretty extreme dieting, then plateaued despite being strict. Saw doctor who checked levels/prescribed med. Then adopted a healthier more appropriate diet/lifestyle, dropped another 80 lbs, now 179 lbs. All this occurred over 1 year. Is it possible to get off Synthroid?
Can you make a video on different vitamins and pills like different supplement or fat blockers etc... it would be great to hear what they do to your body and if they actually work, or if they are more harmful.
I have your program!!! i have a thyroid problem and I am on levothyroxine for it, but honestly, your tips have helped me get to a weight that is "normal" for my height. I still have like 2 more lbs to go(the scale talks to me!!!,lol) what would you suggest for that last 2, you have helped so much for these last few. i cant thank u enough for your amazing tips!
@hannahoverton1 Correct. 99% of soy is now a GMO due to the cheap farming techniques. Also, all sources of soy produce isoflavones, which cause an increase in estrogen. Increasing estrogen is linked to many health problems, including excess body fat, hypothyroid, metabolic syndrome etc. If you want more information on the detrimental effects that soy has on your body, check out the vast number of studies or start with a book called "The Whole Soy Story" by Kaayla T. Daniel.
@leansecrets I agree on the soy produced genetically modified isn't healthy. But what about generations of asian people who ate soy? And also it isn't possible to produce meat enough for the whole world without using soy to feed them, cause REAL organic meat is super expensive and rare! So most of the meat we consume is from animals eating that soy. And if the animal eats it and I eat the animal, then I am consuming the disadvantages of the soy, too. Furthermore, you suggest veggies and fruits..
@leansecrets ..which aren't farmed locally. So they have to be transported which means extra costs and extra pollution for the environment. I don't really understand how this is supposed to be sustainable or healthy.
Seriously, I can try to drink a lot of water but i will end up peeing every 10-15 minutes.. Is there a minimal amount, that I can start out at, so i'm not a prisoner to the bathroom..??
Also, which is better- total body workout (heavy weights) or cardio on the the treadmill (intervals)
hi! can i add something specific to the water-i just dont like the taste of water,i dont want to add fruit because of the sugar (i just dont want to put fruit in it),and i also dont want to add artificial sweetners ,and dont like the taste of stivia....ahhh.....help!
I am a college student and between classes and homework everyday i dont have much time to get any sleep or go to the gym like a use to. And since school started i have gained quite a few pounds. Do you have any suggestions on how to get more sleep, complete my homework go to the gym and lose weight?
Love your videos! Very helpful and inspiring. Also, I first tried jicama in Mexico, and they would squeeze fresh lemon on it and dust it with chili powder. Yum!
what do you guys think of organic tofu and tempeh, those are made of soy but are organic so are they considered bad :S

Actually low tsh is a sign of hyperthyroidism(overactive thyroid), not hypothyroidism.
