  • Cool, just sent this video to my friend. He's trying to decide what size to get. And this will help him better then me just explaining them. Love that sopranissimo

  • I think I want either a soprano or a concert, I definitely like the sound of them.

  • thanks nice vid bro

  • The term would be SOPRANINO. :-)

  • Good informative video. I thought it was going to tell me which was the best but I now appreciate that they are all brilliant little instruments in their own right. One of the better "comparison" videos as it sticks to one make for better evaluation of the sizes.

  • Thanks for this video. I just bought a concert uke based on your demonstration.

  • Great demonstration. Thank you! :-)

  • I agree with Julian ~ very helpful video, particularly the end section ~ thank you!

  • love your video!!! especially the end was very helpful where you play the same thing on all the ukes and edited it so that i could really hear the difference! Concert is the one for me!

  • I was thinking of getting a tenor as my second uke, but in this video I like the sound of the concert better!

  • sopranino is possibly what it should be called?

  • Yes you can get GCEA strings for the Baritone Uke. Look around. They're out there.

  • Very informative video. Thank you!

  • I'm getting a concert ukelele soon. Without your videos I would've never known ukelele's came in different sizes and tones!

  • Do you have an opinion on the Kala "Butterfly" Bocote Wood Concert Size Ukulele? Have you heard it played?

I am just looking for a midrange priced concert or Tenor uke that plays nice. Any suggestions?

  • @OkiCoCo Get a Cordoba tenor cutaway with the pickup. Retail its $200 and it sounds AMAZING.

  • @OkiCoCo I just tried one out at my store and bought it, its not a "solid wood" apparently like the one in this video. But the sound is amazing! I tried the tenor version as well, but was sold on the concert because it suits my style best.

  • very helpful!!! id love to get a tenor uke! right now i have a soprano...

  • What is the reason the bari is tuned differently? To make it more like a guitar? Or is that how Basses are tuned?

It is possible to tune a baritone the same way as the other ukuleles, isn't it? Does anyone do this or tried it?

  • @man0fsteal I tried it on mine, and every time I tuned the C string, I heard almost a cracking under the bridge. When I tried it on my friends ukulele, which was a much cheaper model, the string literally popped off. They do make GCEA strings for baritones though. If your going to be buying one, I highly recommend considering a tenor. Because you have more options, and It's a heck of a lot easier to play.

  • PRESS 2 for an ebony nut

  • Nice there r no bad Kala's. =•}

  • What song is he playing?

  • that baritone is fuckin sexy
