I actually wanted Willard to get away with his boss's murder, keep Socrates, his giant house, get his business back from his evil boss, and keep that good looking co-worker of his as his girlfriend. Poor Willard. His revenge was justified. Great movie by the way.

I saw this movie the other night and I really thought it was an incredibly dark, disturbing, and fun since Willard was so beaten down by life that rats were his only friends but the scene where they ate the cat was a major "HOLY SHIT" moment.

AWWWWWW i love rats! i have a hairless one of my own. but i would mind adding Ben or Socrates to my family. i know they couldnt live in the same cage but who cares! they're so smart. i dont think they used fake rats in this movie, you can train a rat to rip stuff up and probably 'sic'. mine lil Toby may not be evil but she is toilet trained! didnt take long either. just stuck her on the seat when i noticed she had to go and aimed her rear towards the hole and she figured the rest out

I saw this movie back when I was in the 8th grade and this trailer makes the movie come off a totally different way that it actually is. I wanna say this was a good movie but I cant really say that because I've never seen the older versions of this movie to make a comparison. My dad says there's one version of Willard where he tries to feed Ben poison and the rat actually reads the box and tells the other rats that its poison. He said he felt that part was so stupid.

Indeed. Stupid marketing purposes. It's a great movie. I like all the psychological aspects of it and it's a strong character portrayal. Trailers make it look like your typical horror film and the people went to see it because they thought they would see more gore and stuff. I think that the misleading marketing is one of the reasons why it didn't do that well. Sad really. It definitely deserves more attention. Especially Glover's great acting job.
