  • hi, what happen to your rainbowfish?

  • too bad you have hard water discus would be nice

  • Yeah, don't put discus in there with hard water. Tank looks good.

  • @GwynnbrookFarm appreciate it!

  • looking great Shane. throw angels in the 55

  • @samsonsfishstuff i may do that

  • Sweet planted tank. The plants look real healthy. Do you find that constant water changes helps the plant improve? Do you do Wc twice a week?

  • @FishJustSwim no doubt about it...50% twice a week. Not only is it "fresh and clean" water for the fish, but it puts trace elements found in tap water that the plants use up over time back in the tank. If you ever have time for an experiment. Do twice weekly water changes and watch your plants....then wait 2 weeks with no fert dosing...and do a 75% WC...youll see your plants pearling and going nuts from being starved of those trace elements.

  • @Churchhealzimpact thanks for the tips, I will def try it out, if it make my tank look like that its worth the time. Thanks

  • ruby red spilo!

  • @awinski999 truuuue

  • @Churchhealzimpact did you look it up. bad ass fish.

  • @awinski999 yea but hard to fine

  • @Churchhealzimpact aquascape online dot com. probably the easiest

  • Put a Blue 3 spot gouarmi dude. they look good

  • @TheAquariumKid lol no doubt

  • The prettiest fish I've seen to date if I could do a species tank would be the threadfin rainbow fish. Amazing color, schools, peaceful and not too big a fish.

Someone post pics of it on fishtanktv and it was amazing looking. Glass cats are OK. I have 8 in my community tank but they tend to hide and school in shadows.

  • @paducahFishFan nice man, ill check them out

  • This is looking great, Shane. Not sure what will look good tho, but I'll say that you should stick with species from Asia since the loaches and SAE or from around those waters. Species to mention, Harlequin Rasboras are nice schoolers. They school close together. Also for oddballs Indian Glasscatfish are pretty neat. For centerpieces, there's not much game but maybe Gouramis, but look up the schoolers!

  • @AquaJtang yea ive had rasboras before...i might check on those again. Solid school of like 15 of those with a pair of gouramis would look solid.

  • @Churchhealzimpact 20+ rasboras inmyopinion. that would be so wicked

  • @AquaJtang no doubt...i may do that. If i do ill shout you out

  • @Churchhealzimpact I'm down! :) btw how many SAE do you have?

  • @AquaJtang Just two...wish i could find a few more. They are fun to watch.

  • nice!

  • @ReefCollege appreciate it

  • A school of elephant nose fish, say 7, would be very cool and unusual. I also like what Auqastudent suggested with the Rasboras. Looks good!

  • @paducahFishFan yea but i already have all of the loaches for bottom dwellers, would rather get a schooling fish

  • Hope my giant val gets the amount of growth yours has when it finally rea he's the surface of my tank :) nice pair of blushing angels would look nice in your planted tank

  • @freshwatertanks very true, ill think about that

  • Hiya mate,

Just curious but what happened to the rainbows?

  • @bugman2494 sold them to a buddy of mine...i wouldnt mine doing rainbows again I would just want all of the same species

  • Sweet! What's your 'decent' lighting?

I'm hoping to buy a new light soon, so I'm curious.

  • @PetaPanPipes dual t5ho

  • @Churchhealzimpact Sweet. I'm thinking of getting the same but 2x24w T5 HO. It's a 24 inch tank.

  • Loving the dwarf sag Shane...it took me about a month for mine to really take off, it must be all the dirt and waterchanges :) Didn't think it was possible for val to grow that much in such a short space of time! well done man the tank is looking solid!

  • @TheRossiboy appreciate it boss

  • Maybe some rams or red jewels, tank looking real good bro that val is siiiiick,

  • @Bazil1869 i thought about doing rams but they prefer that south american soft acidic water which is opposite what i have

  • thanks for the shout out shane!! dude you sound tired as hell lol

  • @samuelwaynefoleyjr lol no doubt man, beat down with school

  • fancy guppies? :D

  • @AndyBodyHome so common though

  • Looks great Shane! Have you thought about keepign scarlet badis in your tank? It may be hard to feed them but i think they could scavenge your plants if you don't get live foods or frozen foods to them each week. I think some scarlet badis would look great in there.

Some Chili rasboras would be very cool too. A large school of them would compliment the green nicely.

  • @AquaStudent i actually was thinking that but they are so small...in a 55 i would need tons of them to really do the tank justice
