in my opinion man should tamper with nature when it comes to polar bears, because MANS caused global warming which caused the ice caps to melt and ice regions to break up..which causes the polar bears to have nowhere to live..MAN should help them to an extent. I understand you shouldnt tamper with nature unless man has caused its problems.
Actually i don't think there's even one kind of animal that we haven't cause problem. We destroy their environnement and we have polluted almost every piece of earth that we have access, and the other part we don't have acces so we can't temper.
These are probably just makind sure the baby make it safe to the water cause many die on their way.
@hunkydave000 while global warming is ACCELERATED by man, unfortunately, the earth does go through cycles of hot/cold. Humans have accelerated this process by depleting ozone that will in time replenish. Humans aren't entirely to blame, but we can brace for the worst. The polar ice cap ecosystem will adapt without the polar bears, because that is what happens. This example is a 'sexy' anectdote used to appeal to masses. More alarming...
it's 40 degrees in chicago right now. that is scary.
@craijin Isn't it morally correct at the moment since turtle numbers are declining? It's tampering with nature in a good way, as opposed to stringing up gill nets and polluting seas.
If you live near a tropical beach where turtles breed, i urge you to go there, arm yourselves with some rocks and hurl them at those nasty birds while the turtles make it for the water!
It is, isn't it? When I was in Australia, my family and I witnessed a turtle hatching and were told explicitly by the tour guide not to intervene or help in anyway. But, being a kid, I of course chose to ignore this and helped redirect the strays towards the ocean ;). Who says mankind can't sometimes be a benevolent force?
@lucifersgarden Sometimes we can actually be a malevolent force by helping the little darlings because if we do help them, then they're not as strong as they need to be in order to survive. I know, I'd wanna help the babies too (so cute!) but it's better to let nature take it's course. :(
i have red eared slider and i feed it worms tomatoes and some other bugs you really need to try to feed them fruits and worms and if you do keep them in you'r house you need to put them by a window and if you don't have a filter you probly need to change there whater about every week or so.
You see, everyweek you have to clean the tank, and if they lay eggs, you would probally see it. But most of the time, they get washed away with the tank.
i have 4 turtle ( not red eared sliders ,but close breeds to them ) if your getting them make sure you have the money to get bigger tanks , heaters, filter, heat lamps, uvb bulbs and the rest ,,, you will need a 55 gallon tank when they get older but a 20 gallon is ok for probly a year ,,,, good luck and if you need any help , message me
Whats sad is that only like 2 will grow up

Despite the peoples' intentions, it's not right to help them go out to sea. It's tampering with nature.
STILL CUTE THOUGH!

I have 2 red eared sliders,
they are easy to be as a pet.
But not easy to breed.
You see, everyweek you have to clean the tank, and if they lay eggs, you would probally see it. But most of the time, they get washed away with the tank.
