  • best sound ever!

  • 8,6 sec

  • I'm a girl. Why am I watching this? Oh i know already. Because my boyfriend is gonna do this stuff and he wants me to go with him. I'm so going to die. But somewhere deep inside I know i'm going to like it. I HATE THIS.

  • lube that speedo cable, its all jumpy!

  • my dad got this bike, and it's just WOW

  • Who's disliking this, the rotton bastards?! My mates have a 98 R1 and 2007 Fireblade and I have no problems keeping up on my C2 - not bad for a 'heavy slow old sports tourer'! :D

  • 120 kmph in first gear!

  • FUCK YEAH. I just bought me a zx9. I wanna take it out in the twisties soooooo bad but i gotta fix some case cover leaks first ;_;

  • the R1 is better compared to the ZX10 though..if ur talking about cc, and the ZX10 is faster than the R1.

  • @klm33345

    Ok, but in '98 wasn't yet ZX-10, just R1

  • i have one of these but i just got at 260 km/h not longer

  • @8585Rudi8585

The max speed of the older model is 274 km/h, and the newer (like mine) is 285 km/h (not in speedometer, real speed)..

  • I counted 3.8 secs 0 - 60mph.

  • Im from slovakia and have zx9r 1999, its super fast and agreable contrast by the yamaha R1... kawa ist best because is apoise... Vlado

  • no the 01 02 r1 is slower

  • joder como un raquete !! >__<

  • Que bestia es el zx9!! un cañon

  • It looks like your dampers on the front need to be adjusted properly. Your bike dives a hell of a lot during gear changes. Way too much in my opinion.

  • I adjusted those one according to the manual..

  • I'm thinking about buying one with 60000 km on er. How long are they good for?

    Debating between a 98 zx9r or a 2002 636

  • The engine is very stable. If it got all the services, and looks, sound good, it's ok for over 100E km. I would choose the bigger.. :-)

  • thanks a lot.

It's for 3200 canadian, and here thats a great deal, I'm looking at it next week! I've seen pictures and it looks brand new, except with a new exhaust, haha!

  • I have an '05 636 and its awesome, gotta love the fuel injection ;)

  • Ok , I do really want one for road . When I get some news I told you!!

  • Ok . I saw on Bikez and I believe thats even more!! 218 Kg against 183 kg . Im going to wait a litle more and Try to find a good one 98/99 cause the 97 seems to be almost brand new . Its really a temptation!!!

  • The ZX 9R and the Yamaha R1 were the first bikes in '98, which remind the modern sport bikes. If I were yo, i'd forget the earlier modell, it is an old fashioned bike. The diference between R1 an ZX-9 is the comfort. For road: ZX-9. For track: R1.

  • @KawaBazsy

and the r1 is faster indeed

  • @Cheoz0r

Yes, but only a little bit.. :-)

  • nice vid! i saw others and run the same. Im about to get one 97 7,500 miles really beautiful, but looking in web much people say about the weight and vibration. I am now in 250 cc. Some people say i shoud go easier. What do you that really have 9r can tell me to help my choice??

  • Year '98-99. Cheap, lightweight, good.

  • @pechiu13 don't buy 97 model, choose 98 or 99 model. it is 20kg lighter and more powerful engine, completely different bike. enjoy

  • I promess i'll post a response doing the same on my zx9 95, i hope doing it in 8 secs as well

  • Ok, let's see! :-)

  • Nice vid! I'm on a '99 C2 which is pretty much identical.

I've had more than 10 bikes and this is probably the best so far! Awesome bikes to use every day all year round or to ride on the track!

  • nice ;)

  • Lol xD w 8 sec

  • Good vid, love the engine noise esp as you shift between first and 2nd at 0:14. i have an identical 99 model, it was the first bike i ever rode that could lift the front wheel at 50 mph in 1st gear off the throttle (accidentally)

  • The suspension with original settings was too hard..

  • your suspension should not dive like that you should get it rebuilt

  • very nice rrrrr

  • lol i would love to ride one of these.....

  • I am glad that you choose to do that in an area that wasnt heavily populated, so that you were carefull to only jeopardize your own life. I ride a harley, which isnt capable of that kind of acceleration. bet it is always a thrill

  • At the moment I use a Buell Ulysses, it has a Harley engine too. I grow old.. :-)

  • i wanna fkn rape it.

  • solo 200??

  • The route was short..

  • 200 km/h en 8 sec.!!!

  • ZX9R forever!!!!:)

  • ZX-9r was the first standard bike, which makes the1/4mile under 10 sec.

    0-200km/h 8.sec.

  • 0-124mph 9 secs is very good, even if you are not a good driver as you admitted.i would say that was good, well done.

what are the specs for the zx9r...0-60mph/0-100mph???????

  • I know only km/h datas. 0-100: 3.2s, 0-140: 4.4s, 0-200: 8.5s

  • nice!

  • 0-200kmh 9 second? its quick.

  • The original data (from Kawasaki) is 8.5 sec. I am not a good driver.. :-)

  • And you were not fully stopped. the first ten meters when starting from a dead stop is the most difficult part of a fast 0-200...

But usually the date from the manufacturer is pretty optimistic...

  • Yeah, I hurried because the road was just empty.

  • What year is the bike pal ?

  • 98', the best vintage. :-)

  • dude those stats are done by pro drivers in favorable conditions..your driving is fine

  • what class of cam use?

  • I used Sony Handycam (DCR HC-14) on tank bag.

  • quiero ver un video de 0 a la velocidad maxima si no es mucho pedir...

en Abril del 2009 compro la mia

  • So sorry, I don't speak spanish (only english, german, russian, and of course hungarian). If I good understand, you would like to see an acceleration from 0 to max speed. I didnt recorded it yet, and I sold my Kawa 2 yeras ago (this summer I used a Ducati ST). But the acceleration is breathtaking to the max speed (with GPS: 285 km/h)

  • thanks, I was talking about that

  • cool cool

  • That sound's awsome mate, I love the mid range growl, remind's me how much I really miss my CBR600F...that sound gorgeous growl = P

  • Kawasaki are fav bkes

  • organ donar machines prepair to die on it

  • Do you know to ride a bicycle at least?

  • Your comment 'do i know how to ride a bicycle at least'.

What the hell has that got to do with him

dying on that bike? doctors call them organ donar machines as well

  • No! The road is apart from the city, and there is not traffic. I am cautious, belive me. :-)

  • I just bought a 95 zx9r... gets to 200 so freakin easy!

gotta watch it in built up areas but, cause I keep taking off "quickly" and before you know it your over 100k's (instant loss of licence in a 60k zone)

hope I dont drop it. heavy c**t of a thing!

  • they arent that heavy really.. you just cant go past that gravity zone when your at a sit still lol.. i own a 98 zx9r .. ftw haha

  • well its alot heavier going into corners than a 98! those things are like 600's.

And realisticly.. all bikes are heavy when you lean em over too far while standing still lol. (and about 300 times heavier when the stand sinks into the dirt!! and u gotta pick the fucker up)

  • Ride the clutch much? Sounds like it bogs a little off idle.

  • Yes.. :-)

  • No, carbon racing muffler. But not complete system, only exhaust.

  • great bike! , original muffler ?
