I clean the external filter once every 3-4 weeks. Usually only replacing 2 of the 3 internal filtrates. Then I do a water change, about a third of the tank, every month to 6 weeks. Usually this keeps the water pretty clear.

I don't use a heater in my tank and so the water is about room temperature most of the time.

I have kept Tetra's in the tank and they survive fine as they are pretty hardy fish.

ive got goldfish, shubumpkins, comets, a grass carp, 2 mirror carp, a common carp, a ghost carp and a tench lol would love to get a koi carp some day too ! nice tank and fish
