LOL I have NEVER heard of any demon experiences in my congregation nor has my family (all JWs) experienced any demonic encounters. I've heard of "angelic" experiences however. What a retarded, fallacious video. Srry you fail.
First of all, this video series is about occult influences through out Jehovah's Witnesses history. It goes through actual Watchtower articles that discuss demons and demonic influences. So even though you yourself didn’t have demonic experiences, it doesn’t mean the Watchtower magazine didn’t write about these articles. Look up these articles for yourself. Everything Tom was referring to was from the Watchtower. Why would this be retarded and fallacious? Anyway, Thx 4 watching.
@WNFJ2008 Srry I know I came on a little too strong.
They just teach what they learn from the bible. The bible calls Satan "the god of this system of things." In the bible at 1 peter it says: "Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour."
I have never heard however of a Jw afraid of demons. I don't why they were fixated on that in the past, but they aren't now.
But the claim that every congregation has its stories is false and fallacious.
@xLonewolf You say they teach from the Bible but then can't figure out why the Watchtower taught (was fixated) about the demons in the past... and then you mix in a scripture to show that in the Bible says the devil is looking to devour. That sounds scary to me. I'm a little confused, why your entire dismissal of this video is because you never heard of demonic experiences. It doesn't make the facts of this video false. By the way, the video series gets interesting... keep watching.
@xLonewolf Ignore the evidence & laugh at what you do not want to see, & call "lies" what you do not want to acknowledge might be truth, because, after all, truth isn't "truth" unless it is "Watchtower approved truth," & that makes sense to a loyal Watchtowerite. Again, evidence means nothing if the Watchtower says, "It isn't so!" or, "It's all just LIES from Satan!!" And of any one who dares to tell the truth about the Watchtower, just vilify them as "wicked."
Jehovah's Witnesses have no idea...and are trained not to listen to anyone whom would bring up anything that would suggest such a thing...very sad indeed.
Hey im an EX-JW and i believe that if your going to show JWS and people who arent JWS wat the average JW's really believe, then you should TELL THE TRUTH!! This speaker is trying to say that JWS are in danger of DEMON FORCES in their house... you CAN get DEMONS in your house through MEDIUMS no mater wat ur beliefs, and that INCLUDES inanimate objects. IVE NEVER BEEN ATTACKED NEITHER HAVE I HEARD an AVERAGE JW be attack or even SEEN a demon. IVE HEARD of cases that i can count on one hand.
P.S. Im not saying the NWT wasnt inspired through the occult (which JWS dont know), but dont say/ imply that JWS have Ghosts and demons floating around their houses because of it. However I WILL say that it was a good point he showed in the Live wit JAH day in Mind book about dabbling in the occult puts one (THE WATCHTOWER) under demon influence. No wonder they KNOWINGLY LIE about 607 BCE/ 1914 and refuse being BORN AGAIN. It took alot to OPEN MY mind. Do it in LOVE cuz it can SHATTER a person.
Ephesians:4:1-6( One lord, One faith, One Baptism, One hope). I am not saying that you have to be part of an organization to be saved. What I am saying is that James:2;24-26, just a couple of verses in the Bible out of many says that the body without spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.
Tom, If you were ever really a Witness of Jehovah, Isaiah 43:10,11. Than Jehovah's helper in which he sends out to become whatever is needed to carryout his will, which is his holy spirit is not with you. Anyone that brings reproach upon Jehovah's the most high's name is not able to understand the word's of the bible. Because in order to understand you need to ask for holy spirit and it be given to you. If you can say anything out of the bible wrong with the organization today please reply!
The first thing wrong with the organization is that the Bible never tells us we need to be part of an organization to be saved. No organization is the Truth; Jesus Christ is (John 14:6). And the organization of Jehovah's Witnesses has brought far more reproach on the name of God than I ever could, with its false prophecies, pedophile scandals, hypocrisy in joining the UN, silly teachings like aluminum being "Satan's metal," etc. etc. etc.
Ask yourself who out there teaches accurately in accord with the Bible. Who has not taken out Jehovah's God's name in the so-called New Testament. Who does not teach about statements of evolution or the trinity, which is not in the bible. And finally who teaches that Jehovah is The Almighty God, Jesus Christ is his Son, and the Holy Spirit is his helper that he sends out to become or accomplish whatever is needed, just as Jehovah's name means, He Causes To Become!
Your statement that JW's have "not taken out Jehovah's God's name in the so-called New Testament" is simply absurd. It was never there to begin with. There are over 5700 extant manuscripts or portions of the NT and NOT ONE, ANYWHERE contains the name "Jehovah".
It was inserted by the NWT translators to support their doctrines. In doing so, they ignore the fact that it is JESUS who has the "name that is above EVERY name" and that there is "NO OTHER NAME under heaven given to men by which we must be saved" (Phil. 2:9; Acts 4:12). YHWH was "removed" from the OT by Jewish translators in the Septuagint, and Jesus and the apostles quoted freely from that version without ever quibbling about the absence of the name "Jehovah."
Jehovah's Witnesses preach zealously in order to fulfill Matthew:24:14. Matthew:28;18-20, Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit! Please notice "make disciples of people of all the nations. It does not say unless you are disciple of Christ you will not be saved. Jehovah's Witnesses preach just the same, not that if you are not a witness you will not saved! Please read Acts:24:15,16
Well, again, your experience obviously differs from mine. JW's that I knew didn't usually get involved with charities, and we were always told that trying to improve this system was like "polishing the brass on the Titanic". We were told to put our energies exclusively into preaching. If you are just studying, you may not yet have run into the us/them mentality, but it is very prevalent in the org. Outsiders are "worldly" and JWs should avoid unnecessary contact except to preach to them.
Did you ever think that the distance J.W. use to keep outsiders outside, except to preach to them, is the very reason that outsiders feel that J.W. are insincere and lack understanding and experience about the love they claim to show for others? If you have really thought out the first 2 commandments, the very 2 that Jesus has role-modeled, you will find that "just preaching" to outsiders is love without works, or should I say, work without love. Jesus loved the lepers too (correct?).
Good point; I think it's a syndrome that feeds into itself. JW's are cautioned to minimize "worldly" associations and because of this, they are seen as strange and aloof by outsiders. So the wedge gets driven in further by both sides. I think this is what the organization wants, because such "milieu control" makes the rank and file much less apt to ask uncomfortable questions and thus easier to control.
Hi Neon. I didn't realize that the person I was speaking to is the one speaking in the video. I had just come across your video and read one of the comments quickly and jumped onto the last sentence of that comment because that is exactly how I felt while talking with them, an outsider treated at arm's length. It made me feel very uncomfortable and alone, very much unlike the welcomed feeling of what the first 2 commandments give. I hope that I did not offend you. That was not my intention.
Thank you so much, Neon. And yes, I think that my response was stirred by thinking that the last statement I had referred to was that of something the J.W. would say and make me feel. I have studied with J.W. for a time. I had felt, after all that love shown, an overwhelming feeling of being controlled by man. For 2 weeks, I felt locked out of my personal relationship with God. God was gone, but there was man. I am now neutral, staying out of the empire of man-made and man led religions. Terry
It was to the scribes and the pharisees of the "world" to whom Jesus said they had no understanding of love. They judge and condemn by the weakness of the flesh. Jesus did not! John 8:7, your own Bible, "Let the one of you that is sinless be the first to throw a stone at her." It is saying that being a sinner, which we all are, is throwing stones at other sinners and that throwing stones is what the world does. Peace and love to you!
I've been around JW's,ALL of my life,& have NEVER encountered a fascination,or hang up with the occult.N these accounts, lol,um,if a person is dabbling with such things, then gifts another;who is trying 2 do God's will(well do U think a demon sits in a dabbler's home reading magazines? To quote "Are the demons stupid or what?")why is it hard to ascertain that it would make a demon aware of the person trying 2 live right,&it may decide 2 torment them?I mean if your gonn'a play that card.lol.toodles.
My experience obviously differs from yours. I knew many, many JW's who were intensely afraid of demon attack, based on material in WT publications such as were quoted in the video. Since there is no biblical basis for such "demon attacks," or for the concept that demons get transferred with inanimate objects, it's a shame that so many live in fear. Please note that most of the incidents I offered were quoted from JW publications, with only one from personal experience.
Where is the truth that you guys are preaching? All you've been ranting about is how wrong Jehovah's Witnesses are. If you really have the truth now, why not preach as zealously as they do? The way i see it, apostates gather together, post hate videos, to convince themselves that their leaving was right or to continue justifying their leaving. Preach the good news of God's Kingdom!!!
First, you are watching a 10 minute clip from an hour-long presentation. There is a Gospel message at the end of the talk.
Second, if the JW organization has in fact been tainted by the occult - and it has, deeply so - an honest lover of truth should want that information whether there was a positive message attached to it or not.
There is no hate in this video, but the way that JW's label and attack "apostates" is hateful in the extreme.
Geez, talk about drama. A reply is not an attack. He stated his view. He didn't threaten, cajole, harass, slander, or be "hateful". Get over it. Labels come in many forms no matter how self-righteous, humourous, or seemingly softly-spoken. The gentleman in this video, wasn't being balanced, discerning, completely honest, or a good representative for either his old or new religion. He was entertaining though. Which really wasn't that the point, if he wasn't, who would'a watched. toodles.
Since I am the "gentleman in the video," perhaps you can elaborate on the ways in which I was less than honest. To a Jehovah's Witness, the only way one can be completely "balanced and discerning" is to agree completely with whatever the organization teaches. The material I offered was quoted directly from JW publications - what is dishonest about that?
A reply is not an attack, but a reply in which I am accused of posting a "hate video" and "justifying myself" is an attack in my book.
U Honestly 2 me sounded very condescending,& a bit 1 sided. He probably saw it as hateful since Youtube is filled w/it.I've never experienced anything i.e. a harsh division (US/THEM)In fact; Many JWs N our community run charity org.s it's involved(Food banks,2nd hand furniture, cars, rent help, etc.)I've JW relatives&have had all my life,I now in my later life study w/them,& can say no "heightened fear of demons" or attack. The literature exists, but only of what to avoid, not an every day concern.:)
Jehovah's Witnesses do not run any organized foodbanks or charity organizations, although individual members may participate in such efforts. None of those charity org's could be associated with the official Watchtower organization.
LOL I have NEVER heard of any demon experiences in my congregation nor has my family (all JWs) experienced any demonic encounters. I've heard of "angelic" experiences however. What a retarded, fallacious video. Srry you fail.
