In May of '83 Joe Elliott & I started working on Pour Some Sugar On Me, using Aerosmith's "Walk this Way" in the lyrics "Step inside, walk this way". Also on Aerosmith's '75 Toys in the Attic album was Sweet Emotion. Toys in the Attic being a euphemism for "insanity, this all inspired the song "Sweet Sacrifice" - "we're all a little insane". The lead singer of Evanescence did not write the song as she would have been about 2 years old when it was written.
