Nice video! I learned alot! But u have yet to provide scientific data which proves that man and chimps descended from a common ancestor. Besides the "geological column", how else can we know for certain that these two kinds (Hebrew "min": any similar group of animal that can breed and produce offsprings. May refer to specie, genus, or family) descended from a common ancestor?
"u have yet to provide scientific data which proves that man and chimps descended from a common ancestor"
the vitamin C pseudogene, Endrogenous retroviruses, the predicted 2nd fused chromosome and transitional fossils.
Even if you deny the demonstrably existant geological column we still know that apes existed in the past morphologically intermediate between the extant chimpanzee and humans.
Even ID creationism proponents accept the common ancestry of chimps and humans
Ok, so u think that similarity does indeed prove ancestry? So similar cars prove that they descended from the same car? Homology can also be used to support creationism. God designed us and animals similar because we all live in the same earth, breathe the same air, and eat similar foods (Cuvier, father of comparative anatomy, is a creationist). It is true that we have the vitamin C gene and retroviruses. However, this is becoz we share a 96% DNA similarity with the apes, thus making us CONT.
"So similar cars prove that they descended from the same car?"
interestingly yes (we can discover the 'ancestry of cars based on shared components). However, unlike life forms, the progeny of cars is done through design. The progeny of life forms is made through reproduction.
Same x-same designer is a failed argument as it can only look at half at a time. Evolution explains the pattern. Creationism is an unsupported pat answer for similarities or differences.
So how does evolution explain why we are closer related to chickens based on tear enzyme chemistry? How does evolution explain why octopuses have eyes that are outwardly more similar to our own than our "cousins". How does evolution explain the Cambrian explosion?
Ok, i'll check your video about the Cambrian explosion. However, what i learned was that there was a sudden explosion of life forms and the Pre-Cambrian rocks are practically empty. I hope ur video explains the massive gaps between the Pre-Cambrian and Cambrian rocks.
@cp3814 i certainly hope you are not attempting to imply that "creation ex-nihilo" is a better explaination for the cambrian explosion. If so, thats a terrible idea, as the only types of organisms to have emerged from the cambrian explosion were exclusively marine Invertebrates, "yes the earliest chordates were invertibrates" It also saw ZERO emergance of terrestrial/vascular plant life. The Cambrian also featured extensive decline and extinction of Previous life forms from the Edicaran.
@cp3814 ---- How does evolution explain why octopuses have eyes that are outwardly more similar to our own than our "cousins". ----- (=Convergient evolution.) similar structure alone is not what dictacts clade, genotype is more important. The chelipeds of Decapods "crabs and lobsters" are structuraly similar to the pedipalps of scorpions but they are not directly associated at all.
the Similarity is superfical and can be confirmed by comparing genes responsible for both structures. .
"Cuvier, father of comparative anatomy, is a creationist"
And he was wrong to be. What he discovered helped pave the way towards what was correct.
"However, this is becoz we share a 96% DNA similarity with the apes"
we are apes. However if you mean *other* apes we share a 98.6% similarity with both kinds of chimp. We don't share DNA as "low" as 95 until we get to hylobates
susceptible to similar problems. Also i thought that human chromosome 2 poses problems for this common ancestry. Becoz of this fused chromosome, it would be impossible that we came from ape-like ancestors. "Transitional" fossils? Ok, have u observed these special animals evolving into another animal? How can u call unique animals "intermediates" just becoz they are unique? Tetrapods, archaeopteryv, etc. are special animals and are of a different kind of animal all together.
Why is the human chromosome 2 argument flawed? I've heard many scientists say that this still remains a mystery. How could a pair of chromosome fuse? How can that be possible?
Hmm...ok, i go search google for this. However, i did remember one scientist say that it was impossible for the fusion to have occurred in the time period that many evolutionary scientists are proposing.
"I did remember one scientist say that it was impossible for the fusion to have occurred in the time period that many evolutionary scientists are proposing. "
Of course you realise that this message was a total waste of time until you can present a source
However, we KNOW that a fusion occurred because of the chromosome's structure (2 centromeres, 3 telomeres). No credible scientist would dispute this and I can predict you'll give no source
You can also use a pop screen to prevent clipping with low cost mics, if you can;t afford the $30 noise canceling ones. Take a small 6 or 8 inch bubble blower and slide a sock over it. Mount it about 3 to 6 inches from the mic and that will absorbe blasts of air from your lips as you speak :)
"You really need a better microphone..further your too close to yours and clipping"
Its a $10(AUD) microphone so I don't expect much of it. I can try my best to prevent clipping etc but there is little chance of a better mic coming soon

"does evolution explain the Cambrian explosion?"
Evolution IS the explanation for the Cambrian Explosion.
Check out my video "The Cambrian Explosion Remastered"
There were more explosions than that of the Cambrian. Just none of the others had as much experimentation with failed body plans

"It is true that we have the vitamin C gene and retroviruses."
A *broken* gene (all mammals share the vitamin c synthecising gene, it is however proken in anthropoids which only evolution can explain).
Your chromosome two argument is the opposite of the facts.
They are intermediate and transitional because that is what they morphogically and chronologically are

"why is the human chromosome two argument flawed?"
Because you are saying it is evidence against our shared ancestry with the other homonidae when it is conclusive evidence FOR it.
"I have heard many scientists"
Name them/one
"How could a pair of chromosomes fuse
?"
So now you say the fusion itself is in dispute? One: it isn't in dispute
Two: To find out how, google "how chromosomes fuse"

Good job! You were especially good on the history stuff and on the point about organisms never evolving into a different type of organism.
