I have watched this since 1977. The first year it came out and without fail, I watch it every year. 34 years..... wow. =) I will never get tired of it and I swear if my kids EVER have grandchildren for me, they're gonna watch it, too. :) :)

Being only 19 it seems funny to say this but I haven't seen this since I was a kid, like 5 or 6 and I can still repeat most of the lines. Very rememberable (if that is a word) movie.

@whitepinejack39 actually it depends on whether your parents had HBO or not. It was never aired on regular cable. I am 39 years old and I am not ashamed to say that I purchased this years ago on VHS before I ever had kids!! ;-)

This was my favorite as a kid. Sadly, by the time I was 7 or so, it was pretty much gone and you couldn't find it anywhere. When i was a senior in high school 10 years ago, it was re-released on VHS and I picked up a copy the first chance I got. I still have that VHS copy and I still watch it every christmas. Easily in my top 5 Christmas specials of all time.
