Ok...woop di do... you can move pictures, play with maps, and play a keyboard. Now, what can touch do in the real world...Word? Adobe Dreamweaver? or Excel? "lipstick on a pig"
Windows has to look at the other operating systems to get an idea of why people like Windows/Mac OS/Linux. I like the Dock from Mac, and the set up of Windows, and much more complicated things. Come on Windows, think a little bit more.
OK you'll definitely need a keyboard for this. But if both hands are on the screen, how are you going to use the keyboard and multitask, like if you wanna save time you type with one hand and use your mouse in the other, especially in gaming. FPS's need the keyboard and the mouse. The touch screen uses both hands and will be more severely limited.
This is more usefull for designers, business use and plp who uses to pc only for work etc. Surly its usless in gaming unless playing a stratagy game or a simulation. I play RPG's and FPS and thats deffinitly useless.
Dont u get a lot more radiation from touching the computer than using your mouse? Some people have shorter arms and we would have to go closer to the screen. This would damage our eyes more(esp. for those guys with deformed, short arms[no offence]). Looks like the stuff drifts a little bit when the photo moves. It'll just keep moving till u stop it making it look like you need some timing and skills...
You are an idiot. Apple did not invent the touch-screen, nor multi-touch. Go and sleep with Steve Jobs or something... I know you want to deep down inside!!!
lol.. I know ur gay, but really, the multitouch works on mobile devices like Android or iPhone, but not a laptop, is useless. Write this comment with your finger on a screen, very quick don't you think ass
No "multi" touch here, only "dual" touch, u can use only 2 fingers (just like the nice tricks from iPhone) multi touch are still at the prototype level - such as the nice displays from perceptive pixel.
can you use that option in a normal tablet

I'd rather have my mouse and keyboard.

I see this as the new system hog.
Knowing microsoft, they will only release directx11 on this new OS.
I will be still running XP with a cracked DX10

And that's why windows new crappy system will cost $300 more than the leading brand...or $300 more than a normal new windows system, lol.

looks like vista to me disappointing hey could have easily just put this as an update to vista rather than making a new OS

pretty amazing, but Microsoft should have thought first that not everyone owns a computer with multi-touch support, so I think this is quite useless.

They will probably expect people to buy new PC's/Laptops

Really, how relevant will this be in 2010? I don't think half of my work flow would be useful doing all the hand gestures.
