I was at battlecry with the youth from my church and there was a skit about a high-school girl wanting to commit suicide because she killed a child in a car accident and the grief was tearing her up inside. So one night she went to the grave sight of the child and was going to shoot herself when another student who had found Christ was able to get to her and stop hers so that if she shot herself she'd kill him too. then he started singing this song- I was in tears. God <3's us in great ways!

this is def one of my favorite worship songs of all time! i dont know if you know the band Leeland, but you should check them out and try figuring out the song "Lift Your Eyes Up" off of the Love is on the Move cd on piano. it has awesome piano as do many of their songs. keep praising God with your playing! Your comment Josh, "that I play by ear" is a load. You just play with your eyes closed? Sure when you cresendo in the middle it would be difficult to write out but the fact that you cant write the score because you play by ear is a poor excuse. Write out the basic chords and the treble cleft vocal notes. People that say the cant hand out the sheet music because they only "play by ear" are just to lazy to write down the basic notes, get a simple note chart and figure it out. This isn't math!

I in fact practice in the dark with my eyes closed (ask my friends, no joke haha) because it helps me listen a lot better. But besides that, my point about playing by ear was that I did not have the score in the first place when I recorded my videos so when people ask for it, it would mean I would have to write it out for them every single time upload a video, which is very tedious. It is just as simple as you say it: you write the chords out and play the melody. :] Ask me if you need help.

Some people just have the gift of being able to play music by ear when they know a few basic chords... Just because someone on a youtube account asks for sheet music that the individual wrote a variation on Doesn't mean that they are going to take the time to write it all out, If its so simple, How about you get a simple note chart, and figure it out.

i play most of my covers by ear. i find it easy when i know the chords, and i just play from there! improv is my style :] so every time i play, it's different...there are no rules to my playing haha
