  • that music is sp distractingg..

  • Btw , thanks for the presentation

  • Damn the music is irritating

  • awesome vid, im retakin dis an i couldnt understand it fully without ur help.

    Many thanks :) :)

  • Just a quick point, the diagram at 1:36 is incorrect, both Na and K ions are positively charged but there is 3 sodium pumps for every 2 potassium pumps so there is still a imbalance of charge. :)

  • @xMadSkillzx

Looks like the rest of the video goes on to explain that though :)

  • @xMadSkillzx I hope it explained it so it gets the message across, it's good that you notice that sort of thing though, you seem to know your stuff :P

  • @AliceRolley

I hope so :P Did the exam last week . . . Just have to wait and see now, but thank you for these videos. I liked the pendulum song, girl in the fire. Good choice

  • @xMadSkillzx You're right, its not technically correct, but its just a simplified diagram saying what goes in and out. :)

  • Na is negative :/

  • @kieran080188

No it isn't, Na is a group 1 element and loses an electron to become a 1+ ion. Hence why you get NaCl which is Sodium Chloride in a salt the Chlorine is highly electronegative and takes the electron from the Na, and so in effect forms Na+ and Cl-. You can get Na- but in this case it is positive.

  • @xMadSkillzx ..... yes Na is group 1 .. 1 electron if it loose 1 electron it wud be neutral.. have to lose 2 to become +1 are you a chem student?

  • @kieran080188

Mate what the hell are you on about? it has 11 protons, so the nucleus has 11+ charge. It also has 11 electrons so it's overall charge is zero/neutral. It's electron configuration is 1S2 2S2 2P6 3S1 so it's valence electron is just the 3S so it looses that electron readily, so has 11 protons +11 and 10 electrons so 10- making an overall +1. I will soon be a studying biochemistry at University. Trust me, Na is a +1 ion.

  • @xMadSkillzx your right bro , im doin dual honours bio and chem u caught me off guard haha

  • Im going to start AS Biology This year woohoooo =)

  • Thanks! it helped me a lot! (And I'm in University!!! suprised by myself that I would still need A level stuff at University!)

  • No worries! :) Glad it helped. Is it Biology you're studying? Which uni do you go to?
