The "feud" between Mushroomhead and Slipknot was fan driven, not band driven. When Paul Grey died, Jeffrey and Stitch sent condolences to the band and Paul's family. There is no similarity, music-wise. Mushroomhead is a completely different band. Love them both, but if I had to choose one of the two, MRH has it. Yes, Messhugah was an influence on Eternal, since the lead singer was in the studio with them when it was recorded. XIII is still one of my 5 top favs of all time.

Don't have to really prove or explain anything. Both bands have their high and low points. I prefer Mushroomhead with their previous singer, but Waylon's pretty good. I prefer newer Slipknot to say, the Slipknot they were with Iowa, where every third or second word was a curse and you couldn't tell who was playing what.

I still like Mushroomhead, but not more than Slipknot. Both bands are great. And that's the end of that.
