where do you get the decals? ive seen them on a number of trans am gtas on youtube but aren't sure.

We get all our decals from a local performance car shop called GK's (well we used to but it has closed now) but you can get them made from some speciallist firms or even get some from ebay

89 was the best year, as the engines were strong and the front ends still the better ones. 87, the first year, GTA's were weak, and got stomped by 'stangs all day, but by 89, they had basically caught up. Of course this one is a beast to be sure. my 86 T/A only had the 305, 4-barrel, and was quite a bit slower than my 86 5.0. handling is outstanding with the WS6 package.

is there a way to tell the diff from a reg trans am and the gta i just bought 91 and was told it was a gta but it does not say on the title

Not really.

When the trans am and GTA's were brought out you could choose what you wanted on each one.

So you could have the same things from the GTA on the standerd Trans Am.

Normally it is the 5.7 litre V8 with leather seats etc.

But normally it has GTA badges on it if it is.

@BRYDENGTA08 well there is a difference tho i noticed this guy in the apartments down the street from my house his trans am was the same year has my GTA 88' and the GTA is wider but i didnt notice anythin else

There is no difference in the widthes between the standered Trans Am and the GTA because the are basically the same car. Maybe ur GTA has been widened at some point but they should be the same.

The codes located in the center consel will have a 26 in the codes and it won't have side vents on the front fenders. There are other things. You can also go to a website called GTA Source page.

yes there are several ways. First it's have GTA emblems on it. It should have the same rims as the car in this video. And it'll have alot of options. All power window, power doorlock, etc.

@rodster5430 pretty sure the rpo code can tell you(im not sure how to read it) and gta also only came with the gold wheels like the ones in this vid if yours has the original rims and they dont look like the ones in this vid then its most likely not a gta. could have either 5.0 or 5.7 tpi motor and of course it should have badges
