It's amazing to watch how much better Monty Oum got and gets between each of his animation scenes. Every single one shows Monty how to do a bit better and he always learns more. Great animator, and I love to watch this stuff.

The scene that paralyzes the blocks until she reminds me of Ultimecia with his power and would be a good time in the future he comprising Ultimecia in this environment would be cool to see it as occur in Dissidia. You shouldn't think too much about Kairi not being from FF - Rachel (the girl with the ax) is not from DOA aswell. It's probably more like FF&friends vs DOA&friens or something XD

That's defintily not right, for it was a traud mark to the older FF Games that the main character got the best states - and thats Squall!
And exspecially in FF8 it's very much up to the gamer how strong a character becomes - because of the Junction System. Maybe it's the way you played her that got her strong, but she's not that strong basically... and further more, Edea and Adell are sorceresses themselves, nonetheless they're pretty lame...
rinoa did indeed get the highest base stats of any character (before junctioning anything to them), and squall had the lowest. this is balanced by him always being in your party so he usually is a higher level, plus his trigger makes him stronger.
rinoa had lots of potential to kick major ass in the game due to her sorceress nature, we just didn't get many situations for her to do so. (the space station was pretty cool though, blasting you into walls by simply touching her)

sure, in basic terms squall is the most useful, balanced character, but rinoa can be more deadly with the right setup.
So you leveled in FFVIII? Kkind of nonsense, since it doesn't really help with the oppenents levels increasing propotionel to that of your charas. So Squall had no higher level than the others when I played.
And the whole JunctionSystem was made so any character could be the deadliest if you want him to!
All in all Squalls trigger was more useful for the critical hits being quite rare...

and at lvl100 rinoa has around +20 more strength and magic stats above squall. really the only stat he has that's better is 255% hit accuracy.
And what is that "kick ass strength" worth if there is no use for it in the game? I defeated Omega without it... and you have to put that much work and time in it it still isn't worth it.
And with that much abilitys used for it... very lame.

these videos are about taking each characters traits (tifa's fighting, yuna's guns, rinoa's sorceress powers etc.) and taking them to the next level to show their real potential.
I'm not that sure you should call Terra and Rinoe real humans, one for being half-Esper and the other for becoming a sorceress. I just think comparing the FF-characters like this isn't easy... of course you're right, and I really didn't mean to say anything against Mountys great work, it just seems very un-outweighted... due to the games the girls were coming from. Ok, I'm a TOTAL final fantasy fan and I really want them to win BUUUUUUT I just have to point out the little part between 1:11 and 1:17 . It's the way Ayane fought so smoothly that just got me like, OMFG! I rewinded and watched it bout 10 times. Ridiculously awesome!

ye 1:10 to 1:17 definitely an epic ownage moment for ayane. fighting upside down rikku and having her spear spin midair to block yunas bullets at same time was epic =D
I think in this case Kairi is a necessary evil. There are only four DOA girls but all of them have a sword like weapon to fight with. If you look at just the FF girls with Rinoa you have two swords, a pair of guns, and a barehanded fighter. I think Kairi with the keyblades (dual wielding even) makes the fight a little more "fair" and Kairi has the out of being the only one left alone when they're all teleported away.
Well, Hitomi doesn't have any sword-like weapon. Just her fists. That's why Monty brought Tifa in the fray to balance out the fighting styles.
And if you think about it, it would've been a fair and even match without Kairi. All the girls would've had their own opponent. But it's ok. Kairi still kicks ass XD
because kairi has nothing to do with final fantasy now...since shes in here were gonna see the most random shit ever like sora and maybe even mickey and random disney characters this will make it unbalanced cuz that would outnumber the DOA chars there gonna have to start adding chars from other games to support DOA if this is gonna have that many episodes that is

I kinda agree that Kairi is a bit out of place, but she is Square Enix, AND she totally OWNS dual-wielding those keyblades! Oblivion and Oathkeeper are an awesome combo, though... I'm still confused as to why she has a Keyblade in the first place O_o I never understood that from KH2
Because in KH2 they explained that everyone can have keyblades, not just a few select people. Also it can be attributed to Kairi's heart being inside Sora's, and since Sora is a keyblade master so now Kairi is too.
I never remembered them saying ANYTHING remotely like that in KH2. They DID explain in Ansem's secret reports that there was a keyblade of the light world and of the dark world. Mickey had that one in KH1. Also, once you get to Hollow Bastion in KH1, why would it have to choose between Sora and Riku if just anyone could have one? Maybe my memory is just bad, though. If you could point me to an article or video explaining that I'd appreciate it

if you hear yuna's voice real close, it is the same voice used by jun kazama from tekken 2. if any of you have tekken 2 or watch it on youtube, check out jun and hear her voice real closely too. it will be same thing.
I think having Kairi there kinda ruined it ust a little bit. I mean I know that she is part of the "Final Fantasy" but, not really you know? She was really just created for "Kingdom Hearts" not "Final Fantasy"

The girls on the Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts side are Yuna, Rikku, Tifa, Rinoa and Kairi. The girls on the Dead or Alive/Ninja Gaiden side are Ayane, Hitomi, Kasumi and Rachel.

I just think comparing the FF-characters like this isn't easy... of course you're right, and I really didn't mean to say anything against Mountys great work, it just seems very un-outweighted... due to the games the girls were coming from. Ok, I'm a TOTAL final fantasy fan and I really want them to win BUUUUUUT I just have to point out the little part between 1:11 and 1:17 . It's the way Ayane fought so smoothly that just got me like, OMFG! I rewinded and watched it bout 10 times. Ridiculously awesome!
So even though I like FF better, I gotta give DOA props. They fight really well :)

I think in this case Kairi is a necessary evil. There are only four DOA girls but all of them have a sword like weapon to fight with. If you look at just the FF girls with Rinoa you have two swords, a pair of guns, and a barehanded fighter. I think Kairi with the keyblades (dual wielding even) makes the fight a little more "fair" and Kairi has the out of being the only one left alone when they're all teleported away.

Well, Hitomi doesn't have any sword-like weapon. Just her fists. That's why Monty brought Tifa in the fray to balance out the fighting styles.
And if you think about it, it would've been a fair and even match without Kairi. All the girls would've had their own opponent. But it's ok. Kairi still kicks ass XD

I kinda agree that Kairi is a bit out of place, but she is Square Enix, AND she totally OWNS dual-wielding those keyblades! Oblivion and Oathkeeper are an awesome combo, though... I'm still confused as to why she has a Keyblade in the first place O_o I never understood that from KH2

Because in KH2 they explained that everyone can have keyblades, not just a few select people. Also it can be attributed to Kairi's heart being inside Sora's, and since Sora is a keyblade master so now Kairi is too.

I never remembered them saying ANYTHING remotely like that in KH2. They DID explain in Ansem's secret reports that there was a keyblade of the light world and of the dark world. Mickey had that one in KH1. Also, once you get to Hollow Bastion in KH1, why would it have to choose between Sora and Riku if just anyone could have one? Maybe my memory is just bad, though. If you could point me to an article or video explaining that I'd appreciate it

She's Rinoa from Final Fantasy 8. She doesn't really have wings and in the game her fighting skills aren't that great. I guess Monty used a little artistic license :)
