  • alanis is the best!

  • You haven't lived until you've dated a Canadian chick. They absolutely rock.

  • @arkady714i laughed when i read this. i'll let you know how it goes, i'm moving there from australia for work later this year

  • she did for the next generation would Edie Brickell did for the prior..... i think she's gucking freat

  • I dont no any other chick singer that has anything on Alanis!!!

  • I would love to see Alanis live!!

    She is amazing!!

  • @trueace777And she's simply great live!!

  • hello Mrs morsette, if u get this

  • And what I wouldn't give...to be in your concert again, Alanis!!!

  • her sound is so unique

    i love it

    her voice

    everything

    DIFFERENT<3

  • @KEZOSON

AND she plays the hamonica LOL

  • @yancybutler It doesn't depend on the gender... Many men and women share the same perspective on life. Whether it's good or bad.

  • @theskyisround Wrong. we may have similar situations but living life as a woman and living life as a man are two very different things. Ever hear of male privledge? look it up and think about it, Not saying one's life is more valid than the others but it's two seperate movies and we are not talking about gender (girls wear pink boys wear blue.) we are talking about sex ( male body/female body.).

  • @yancybutler Yeah, of course there's differences between men and women. As sexes, yeah. But you can't generalize because one man might have the exact same thoughts and feelings as a woman without his sex mattering. Besides, girls seem to be getting more aggressive lately so both seem much more similar than before. I mean, of course there's differences. But not THAT many, not as many as society implies.

  • i was in grade 5 in this song and i memorized all her songs in her1st album including the acapella..hahaha i was crazy of alanis morissette.

  • i love this song :)

  • i love you so much this is my favorite song ever if only i could the kill killer ya hahaha love it

  • amazing

  • The candor of the lyrics of this woman's songs are beyond parallel. Jagged Little Pill (in my humble opinion) was the most forward, powerful a poiniant album in decades. A woman with a message...and the beauty is that she gets her point across without a bit of whining (a Gen X pastime).

  • She makes playing that silly harmonica cool!

  • I'm addicted to this song...

  • But Alanis, it always about what You want. What about My needs?

  • and all i really want is some comfort,,,,, a way to get my hands untied..and all i really want is some justice...................

  • Bocelli

  • much <3 too much for words

  • Her voice sounds naturally autotuned sometimes.

  • " and what i wouldn't give, to find a soul mate! SOMEONE ELSE TO CATCH THIS DRIFT!!!"so true

  • heÿ_Í_fÊél_sÓ_lonelY_tödâý

  • exquisite...

  • My big sister had the tape back in 1995, and of course I also listened to it, it's so good...

  • this song is awesome and Alanis rocks.

  • The '90s will be known for many things. Of the best will be the pure feminism in pop music. An entire generation of talented, energetic, guitar playing women singer/songwriters with real anger and a real message. A Morrisette, S Crow, Jewel, M Ethridege were all out at just the same time. Pity they were replaced by dumb, witless fluff, devoid of any message save for "me and my fashion statement." Nice to know that intelligent women once did have something to say.

  • @arkady714 I'm hoping it will pass and we will get back to this someday. In the meantime, there are strong female artists out there, they're just independent and you have to seek them out. It helps if you never turn on the radio lol. (With the exception of CBC Radio 2 if you're anywhere near Canada.)

  • im 13 and i like this shit !! she rocks

  • beautiful song performance, keep it up alanis

  • Alanis Morissette is pure Avant-garde!

  • Music over rides the voice

  • shez so fuckin amazingly talented!!!

  • WTF this song is Weird.... and sounds like shes singing Jiberish.....

  • ...aaand yet it's still awesome! ;)

  • @dannytj2 practice listening. I know it's a lost art, considered too much "a given". But definitely lost on you. Use it or lose it all together

  • 1:38 ... Me encanta!

  • she is brilliant. is it possible to be 20x better live than on the album?

    well for her it is.

  • what program was this from? i really wanna see more of it

  • i adore this song..there's so much energy in it

  • oh shit....my love.......geht sehr gut!!!!

  • oh shit....my love.......haha....

  • shes the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @dirtyfishydishcloth- Agreed!! I love Alaniss:P

  • She looks just a little bit like an indian cook;)

  • shes A Straight up canadian Babe

  • god i miss the 90's

  • Dear Dirtyfishy - you're making some pretty broad generalizations about people. Some will see the brilliance, some will be intimidated, some will miss the point. That's art for ya. Man, when I first heard this song, I sat in the driveway with the engine running and my mouth wide open, filled with awe, envy and gratitude. It's been one of my favorite earworms ever since & was blasting in my car last night. I can only wish Alanis all the happiness, success & fulfillment she deserves.

  • @GreasySpoonVideo to bad for those who miss the point

  • Great song but is Alanis on Novacaine in this performance?

  • good grief. It's a GREAT song.

  • @leleek1 yes and i love the lyrics..."slap me with splintered ruler....did you think about your bills, your ex ur deadlines or when u think u gonna die or did u long for the next distraction" who else can use these lines in a song yet sounded so beautiful....

  • shes definitly a girl i would nt kick oughta me bed

  • "enough about me, lets talk about you for a minute....

enough about me, lets talk about life for a while....."

cant explain it I just love that part!

  • "All i need now is intellectual intercourse... a soul to dig the hole much deeper"

One of her best, for sure...

  • One of the most horrible misconceptions of jagged little pill is that it's a negative album....I find it beautiful and positively enthralling!!!

  • @lunaangel56 I think you missed the point

  • @leafsfan9917 I didn't, mind yours. I was making my own point, so you in the business without even knowing whats going on.

  • @lunaangel56 I am not critisizeing you I am simply discussing it, I think the point was kind of like an outlet to for all of her struggles and hard times and assholes she met along the way up to that point, its only an oppinion though

  • @leafsfan9917 I understand that, I get it. But i'm talkin bout the stigma the album got and the way she was and still is typecast as da angry ass female...she aint even that way anymore.

  • this is a helluva show. the band is amazing!

  • 1A POTENZAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Xd

  • Fuck me..... she can sing live!!!!!

  • I admire her ability to express her feelings so apologetically.

  • Comment removed

  • She really shouldn't "play" that harmonica.

  • impressive!!!!

  • i fucking love it when she says "here...can you handle this?" and everyone screams. i wanna go to one of her concerts soooooo badly. but its like everytime she tours, its OUTSIDE of the US :/

  • my Romanian granddad with Greek roots used to play that instrument....isn't that some habbit there for old men:)

  • the maker left your jeans here oh shit

  • I wonder how many stoners at the concert thought the song ended at the iconic break of 3:00...lol

  • @rowdymax1 clearly you have never been high before, half of them were probably sitll singing it 10 minutes after the song had ended lol

  • how come i feel like voting 5stars every time i watch this video?

  • @waitingfordoom cause this song is amazing :)

    JUST LIKE THE 90S!!

  • @Imxoneofthefallen omg the 90´s was sooo much fun!!!! i SOOOO miss the 90s!!!!

  • I was said that some people (I wish

I knew who) considered Jagged Little Pill to be "anti-male." For the life of me, I have no idea why.

This brilliant artist might sing of the chagrins of a single woman ("angry white female" is what one magazine called her") but one would be hard pressed to not identify with the anger in these lyrics regardless of your gender or orientation.

    What great stuff.

  • @Arkady63 Exactly my friend..I am male myself and love the Jaged Pill album. Her voice is just simply so unique and amazing.

  • @trimags

    ha, me too!

  • @Arkady63

    super

  • I Love Alanis , I,m curious , What's wrong whit her right arm ? She chake alot in all videos , can someone tell me about ?

  • @snoopusa2006 I know! I had to look at that a few times too.... it's her left arm in performance. She's holding her harmonica.

  • Baby, since I feel in love with your sixteen-year-old illusion, you've done nothing BUT stress me out.

  • waitingfordoorn you suck yourself..

    Alanis is the best !!

  • Alanis is hot!!!!!!!!!!!!amooooooooo

  • great performance, wonderful song, awesome woman. Thanks for uploading this.

  • when was this? she looks so young!

anyway... one of her best songs

  • perfect than perfect...

  • This is a great song to blast in a convertible driving fast down the road.

  • Hot song !

  • I Really Have This Strong Desire To Give Her A Peck On The Cheeck . She's Gorgeous Inside and Out .

  • The music sounds a bit of a mess XD I <333333 it though ^_^

  • Yeppers. She's awesome.

  • i love this woman!!!!

  • she's so much better live in concerts!

  • enough about me!

    let's talk about you!

    let's talk about women!

and learn all there is to learn about life!

  • Hell yeah!!! I totally forgot about this!!

  • my childhood hero! !!!! I don't know who'd I'd be today without her

  • La puedo escuchar infinitamnt.... excelente cancion.... ^^

  • en ingles, this song is infintesimally excelent.

  • she isnt on acid. she has a disorder. pay attention people. she is a goddess regardless. and genius is a good way describe her as well.

  • do you know what disorder she has? i am just wondering. dont want to sound like a jerk lol

  • I think the medical term is "Amazing Grace"

  • @suenitka Looks like torettes but she's still cute. I like her movements. She's quirky anyway.

  • She's my hero. But I do say she kind of looks like shes on acid on this video lol

  • if a man wrote and performed this song, people would be throwing the words "genius" and "avant garde" around, ...but people are so fucking sexist, instead Alanis gets accused of being fake (even by other women). typical. but like she gives a shit, right!!???

this is SOUL. keep on, Alanis....you're brilliant.

  • @dirtyfishydishcloth yeah I know right she has only sold what 30 thousand records?

  • @dirtyfishydishcloth I don't really think thats the case. Alanis is respected...I mean JLP is one of the biggest selling albums. They accuse her of being fake because of her past (being a teen pop star.) not because she is a woman.

  • @dirtyfishydishcloth Generally I would agree with you...However how about that it was because she use to be the tiffany of canada(not discrediting I love her...but if justin Beiber turned into bob dylan his penis would not excuses him from being accused of being fake.) not because she is a woman.

  • @dirtyfishydishcloth Actually these lyrics suck. They're pretentious and douchey. If it was a guy he'd be ridiculed further.

The thing about Alanis isn't her lyrics, it's the feel she has when she sings. I really like how she sings.

  • @headbangingidiot these lyrics suck compared to??? And women have a totally different life experience than men do- so thats a moot point. However I don't think there is anything particularly pretentious about the lyrics.

  • @yancybutler idk, it just sounds like something I would have written when i was 13, had I a better vocabulary.

  • @dirtyfishydishcloth yes she is!!!!!

  • Muy buenoooooooo inigualable

  • hunt the hunter XD

  • I really love it!

  • Two other things I'd like to say:

1 - Some people considered Jagged Little Pill to be anti-male. I sure as hell did not.

    2 - Canadian chicks rock.

  • @Arkady63 Right on man, and even if it was, it doesn't matter? because the musi cis still good:)

  • @Arkady63 ure right she's perfect..her voice is powerful

  • This woman is brilliant. I often wonder if the girls and women of her generation often considered her their voice.

I personally cannot judge. But I get the feeling that this was the case in the '90s.

  • where shes from?

  • shes from Canada

  • I can only find live of this version. D8

But still. <33 She's apparently good live. This makes me very happy.

  • She rocks live. First concert I ever went to. At the Canberra theatre, I was 12 and it was AWSOME!!

  • AAGGHHH You are so lucky!

  • Fall, Youtube doesn't add the keywords itself. It relies on the submitting users :o

  • Was this her 1st song??

  • You know what I DETEST about youtube-THIS!!!If I want to hear a song live,I'd type LIVE after writing the title of the song. Most people want to hear the studio version & that's what fucking youtube should offer first on the list!!!!!

  • i agree... and u can really hear someone who sings well live as they do in tha studio, tho i'd say alanis is an exception

  • Well it's not really youtube's fault or the user. You typed (I assume) Alanis Morrisette All I really want) and youtube brought up the videos that matched that.

Just admire the fact that she sounds wonderful live unlike many other artists.

  • amo esta cancion, es la mejor del jlpa

  • Hot

  • Wonderful performance! Sounds just like the JLP Acoustic version of "All I Really Want". I love what she does with the harmonica at the end of the song.

  • Well, vocally, anyway.

  • her harmonica skills are just amazing also

  • she moves alot im sorry if u think im hatin' i love her especially on her live performance of the song uninvited and oughtta know, but i dont like this one :[

  • I love this song.

But let me add that Youtube should stop with the layout changes. This one is fine, but that's it.

  • i agree

  • I love her hair in this! That's how I'm gonna wear my hair from now on!!

  • so fuckin talented

  • Alanis makes me feel like getting out of my chair and going on stage!

im sure she knows the way.

    i will follow.

    :)

  • この曲が一番好きっす!

  • as in bad a**?

  • As in bad/good.

  • I agree

  • speak for yourself Im using this to teach myself guitar :P

  • The only woman in the world who could have gotten away playing God in Dogma.

  • alanis,

thank you for your voice, and your bravery. this song is me. it's all that i am.

  • uhh

  • oh god I love her. This is why I will always be an Alanis fan, this song shows unbelievable lyric ability. The fact that she writes nearly all her own songs is just phenomonal. I <3 YOU ALANIS!!!

  • I agree with Abellafy and catsrulee, I luv the sound of her voice and I always know itz her, she has such a great voice, Im glad she doesnt lipsynch!!!!!!!!

So many othas do, STAY STRONG Alanis FANS!!!!!

  • muuuuuuito bom! alanis tem tudo de feeling!

  • She has a really distinct voice that makes me want to listen to it again and agai, anyone else feel tha same????

  • i totally agree with you x

  • SO AGREE

  • she has such a unique voice. as soon as you hear one of her songs you know its her even if you've never heard the song before.

  • Omg - I just realized where Johnny Depp got his inspiration for Jack Sparrow!

    Yeah???

But seriously - Alanis is a Goddess.

  • alanis is so awesome! she has this sort of janis joplin thing about her amazing!

  • She is the best
