LOL, you blocked your image from one person on the plane with the privacy settings but put this on youtube where 50,000 people have seen you. XD nice vid
i'll be flying ba club world in a few months and i'm wondering if anyone could tell me: if sitting rearwards, in the event that you need to get out (e.g. to use the toilet), do you need to disturb a forward facing passenger to let you out?
Well that is true, but the fact that all the window seats are rear-facing is just not acceptable.
At least BA have had horizontal seat positions for years now, whereas Lufthansa and Air France still have not introduced those in their seats.
And even a rear-facing seat is still better than this complete nonsense of herringbone seating on Virgin or Cathay which just takes all daylight out of the cabin and looks cramped.
U might not like flying backwards (my Mum's the same) but if it happens again, you could console yourself with the knowledge that it's a lot safer. (why do you think most of the cabin crew face rearwards?). In the event of a crash landing your far more likely to survive sitting rearwards.
When the idea was announced the airplane companies were going to flip all off the sits backwards but before that they did some tests and found out it is actually more dangerous...
Other wise all new planes and cars would have backwards sits (obviously not for the drivers).
I dont know about everyone else but when i flew buisness in the new cabin i really didnt think it was worth what i paid. but on the other hand on the way back we got upgraded to first free and that was amazing. we were drinking £200 bottles of wine and expensive food it was unbelivable.
I guess you are talking about wither my flying BA.. Which I has always flown forward upstairs...... Also, I think the guy whoh has the video that we are commenting on was traveling forward as well... BA's upper deck is like United Airlines in the sense that the upper galley is always behing our passengers upstairs.... I also have a couple of friends who fly for Singapore Airlines. I will have to fly on them soon
Yeah, I see BA has both facing seats... I like flying forward...I always request for the forward seats...That's how I like to fly. I have flown backwards but that was with the military flights years ago....
Nice... You got the upper deck business class in BA.. I have flown BA before too upstairs.... Yeah, it is nice.. I also have flown our upstairs business class up on our 747 too... United Airlines. It seems so much more private upstairs there on our and BA's.
Some surplus United 747-400s went to Mahan Air of Iran in 2008, had a beautiful flight upstairs in business class on one the other week, Tehran to Dubai, 1h45 in the air. Old United business class seats, HUGE, very comfortable and quite classy. Still had United programming on the audio channels too. No Channel 9 on Mahan but a great flight, white rose / amenity kit / delicious meal / Iranian charm.
I had a free upgrade on a Quantas flight from BKK back to LHR recently (so did 18 others apparently) - Upper floor B747. Very nice service. Would love to go again like it but the price. Makes the £340 I actually paid for cattle class pale into nothing. And the seats, turning into beds/ plus massage.... would recommend it everytime! Hell, they even supply PJ's.
They made up my mind about how I want to go to the UK. I am more than a bit anxious about that long plane ride, but you've shown a very relaxed, comfortable, private upper deck. And I'm now feeling a lot more comfortable about the plane ride. You have the best videos/pictures of any online site I've seen, even BA's! Nancy.
If you fly Club world BA on a 747-400 then sitting upstaits in the bubble is as good as first class, quiet, private and only 20 seats with 3 cabin crew - its fantastic
You should try flying from Sydney to London, 24 hours of cramped fun. I like these vids too. Although, when I go back to the UK again, I'll just have to stop in Asia for a break as the business class tickets from Australia to the UK start at about US$10,000 return. Economy is about US$1800 return. Pity us poor antipodeans stuck down here at the bottom of the world!
i used to be one of those passengers who once travelled in that funny class at the back of the aircraft called economy lol.
but a year ago my money status changed in a big way and now i can travel in the front of the plane .
now i'm not slagging of economy don't get me wrong , well ok , i am .
1. cramped seat .
2. usually allways a crying baby somewhere in economy or a bunch of loud passengers .
3. the seat only reclines to a certain point .
4 . no where to rest your feet .

The possibility of having to sit facing rearwards all the way from YVR is a deal breaker for me. Thanks for the glimpse!

That is not true after some recent research.

Is there much difference between BA first class and business class?
EoinSwe 2 years ago
Obviously, or there wouldn't be much point.

Huge difference. Check out some of the videos (see also my short vid on Swissair first).

I am flying bussiness class to America on BA. Is it at the top of the 747?
sushibub 2 years ago
On the LON-TOR route it was on the upper deck. Not sure of the other routes. Is it a 747-400? You can then check online.
ryker25 2 years ago
what is the LON TOR Route- where was it to?
sushibub 2 years ago
He means LHR - YYZ, which is London Heathrow to Toronto Pearson.

All BA 747's have Club World on the upper deck as well as a number of seats on the lower deck.

I am flying from Dubai to Montreal with BA biz, and the ongoing flight will feature a Sleeper service, u got that ?
was it good? did u really sleep as its called? lol I dont care really just curious.
Kabuki0Kozou 2 years ago
I don't recall a sleeper service. But the seats recline fully to make a horizontal bed, and they're quite comfortable. Enjoy the flight!
