after i installed cfw on my psp 3000 my psp started to get really slow. why is that

@fifarocksify maybe it was installed incorrectly, maybe the download you used it corrupted along the way. my psp has 2 16gb micro sd hc cards and still pretty quick with the latest cfw for psp 3000. my psp 1000 has an 8gb card and runs pretty smooth even when full.

@96gurinder cannot downgrade psp 3000, can only use half byte loader to allow some homebrew games, so you would need hot shots exploit

The 5.03 Gen-B worked but my PsP was low battery then switched off. I then charged it. I tried to but the 5.03 Gen-B but went back to Gen-A when i Clicked on The Gen-B Quick Updater file. Any ideas on what to do?

I turned my psp off and installed ChickHEN and GEN-A but GEN-B or C won't install, when i start the installer on my psp it reboots my psp without patching. any solutions?

@StayinAliv3 have you deleted the gen-a from memstick? was the psp turned fully off? try removing battery while psp on. i have never had any problems re-installing cfw's on my psp 3000.

yes, because if the psp is turned off then you would have to redo the cfw and chick hen r2, so keep it on your psp

@sushistew but sometimes i lost the CFW n i have to hack it again.

@Vistaoo7 yup if pp is turned off fully or battery dies or is taken out your psp reverts back to ofw, you just have to reload chick hen r2 and the cfw. when you go to settings you can set up sleep timer to assist keeping the cfw on longer, if you just flick the power button off you will add it to sleep mode as well as letting the psp shut off on its own. if you don't charge it for a long time and it has cfw on it it will also revert back when the battery dies on its own.

so you have a psp 3k? i would turn off the psp fully, maybe back up format the memstick and redo it and update to newest cfw for the 3000.

you need to make an ISO folder... as you can see in this part of the video starting at 0:55 he already has the ISO folder on his root.. note that you need to name the folder ISO (all should be capital letters) hope this will help you =3

yup, if you don't have gen-a on the psp, than you need to add the chick hen r2 and 5.03gen-b update to the psp. so follow part 2 installing chick hen r2. and from chick hen r2 open the update gen-b in game folder and go through the update.

chick hen r2 is an exploit using tiff image to crash the psp. the tiff is a file loaded the the pictures folder. there is a tiff for the psp slim/3000 and one for the phat.

I heard that the hacks for the psp 2000/3000 aren't permanently. When you power off your psp the FW get's rolled back to the OFW. So you have to keep your psp in standby mode?

thats right, leave it in standby and the cfw will stay on, if you pull the battery or battery dies, than you will have to keep the files on your psp to quickly reload it.

it is very hard to brick the 3000, unless you start adding apps you don't read about first

the flash0 etc, is the internal memory of the psp, this is where the psp tells itself what to do. so if you add an app that access flash0 it could brick the psp.

yup same as gen-a you cannot turn off psp fully when using chick hen r2. it is not permanent yet. sleep mode is the answer.

that is correct, with chick hen it is not permanent, so you need to leave it in sleep mode like the other psp 3000 cfw. so i always keep the files on my psp just incase it dies, or whatev you know
