Ha ha Goldfrapp may have sold out with this album - but if so - it hasnt reached the dizzy heights of success likes it predecessors. So hopefully their next album will be a return to form.

I love Felt Mountain and Black Cherry, but SuperNature, Seventh Tree, and Head First are are pretty damn close in quality. I don't understand how you can say Goldfrapp sold out at all. Head First is maybe a little poppy, but it's not mindless pop. It's just sad that you see Goldfrapp as having sold out. They did nothing of the kind.

Alison and Will, I'm so glad that the record deal with Mute has ended. Perhaps your next album will be promoted properly and you'll achieve the huge success you deserve. Goldfrapp, you are superstars, and you've brought so much joy to my life with your music, long may it continue.
Why are we on about GaGa? Next someone will end up mentioning the J word... followed by the B-word. Why people? watch a video and don't talk about nobody or nothing else but from what you see.
There's the kind of pop music you usually hear on the radios, manufactured by corporations to rot the brains of 12 year olds with stupid repetitive lyrics and bullshit "fashion style" which is all manufactured.
And then there's the kind of pop music that is more mature, and therefore higher quality and with better lyrics. This song falls under the "mature, non-sucky" pop genre.
I love Goldfrapp, or at least, I did, until this stuff started to pop up. Rocket and Head first are deviations into a current pop trend. Why in God's name did Will and Allison do that? Are they even in it? Music that is solely motivated by the desire for money and fame will come back to bite you in the end. They'll regret this, because they're going to have to play it over and over again until they're sick of it. So it all sorts itself out in the end, but I'm sad to see them go shallow.

I LOVE Lady Gaga. I am a a superfan. But really, some little monsters can be very ignorant. There are the ones that have stuck with Gaga since the beginning and love all kinds of music and then there are the ones who just started to like her. Lady Gaga has incredible talent but Goldfrapp has been in the business longer than Gaga has.
@2698015 she almost never uses autotune. she sings live all the time and never lip-synchs. she writes all her music, she creates fashion and her tour. just because she's incredibly famous, doesn't mean she has no talent. she is one of the few artists who have earned their spot. Gaga is more than an incredible musician, she's and incredible, true artist. don't judge things with out the proper research.
i'd argue that it is a double standard for you to compliment both but then give a reason why goldfrapp has a reason to be better than gaga.because from what i understand you appreciate both of them but one better than the other. meaning youre using goldfrapp as a point of comparison. something they wouldnt like you or others to do as they want to consider themselves unique and brand new. this is not the case and there is nothing wrong with that

I love Goldfrapp, or at least, I did, until this stuff started to pop up. Rocket and Head first are deviations into a current pop trend. Why in God's name did Will and Allison do that? Are they even in it? Music that is solely motivated by the desire for money and fame will come back to bite you in the end. They'll regret this, because they're going to have to play it over and over again until they're sick of it. So it all sorts itself out in the end, but I'm sad to see them go shallow.

I LOVE Lady Gaga. I am a a superfan. But really, some little monsters can be very ignorant. There are the ones that have stuck with Gaga since the beginning and love all kinds of music and then there are the ones who just started to like her. Lady Gaga has incredible talent but Goldfrapp has been in the business longer than Gaga has.

@2698015 she almost never uses autotune. she sings live all the time and never lip-synchs. she writes all her music, she creates fashion and her tour. just because she's incredibly famous, doesn't mean she has no talent. she is one of the few artists who have earned their spot. i'd argue that it is a double standard for you to compliment both but then give a reason why goldfrapp has a reason to be better than gaga.because from what i understand you appreciate both of them but one better than the other. meaning youre using goldfrapp as a point of comparison. something they wouldnt like you or others to do as they want to consider themselves unique and brand new. this is not the case and there is nothing wrong with that
