  • He's a gorgeous bird. What type is he? He looks a lot like our cockatoos, but he isn't one.

  • I think Coco would love my little girl cockatoo named Angel! She likes to jump in the bath with me!

  • I always think Cockatoos are so sweet and charming, but I also know they can get loud, feisty, and even mischevious and damaging. How do you discipline these birds?

If I had one and it started causing trouble, I would spank its tail with a fly swatter. Or maybe even whip it with a small strap, reminding it who its master is!

  • @Halpin2006 Don't get a bird if you plan on "disciplining" it with a goddamn fly swatter. If you did a little more research, you would learn that birds do not understand the concept of discipline, so the bird would ultimately hate you for being a total asshole, like you are.

  • Yes I have ear plugs and Im not joking. Around 8pm Coco likes to get some screaming out for a couple of minutes and you can hear her three houses down, still love her though :)

  • he is so cool! we have a umbrella cockatoo named Casper man he can get loud lol

  • That's so interesting, I have a green-cheek conure who also tries to grab running water with his talon. Any idea why they do that?

  • where are the toys??

  • where are the toys??

  • he was saying lucky! :D

  • AWWWW! that is so cute!

  • CUUUUUUUUUUUUUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • His Paw's are backwards? o.o

  • @CelticWarrior1337 - His claws are fine. Parrots have an inward-facing step. It's how they walk up and down branches. It looks weird when they are walking on flat surfaces, and it is more obvious in some birds than others, but it's normal.

  • I have a female cockatoo named Coco as well. I never thought of putting her in the tub.Great idea !

  • thanks for the comment yes Coco loves to get wet at least once a week. :)

I must say, you have an outstandingly beautiful bird, i have watched all your videos and I dont think i have ever seen a Too so laid back and happy, and his feathers and in beautiful condition. You must be very proud owners! I wish you and him a very happy time together <3

  • this video is so adorable but i'm not sure if having a cockatoo is right. While a baby cockatoo may view its owner as a parent, this changes as the bird grows up. A mature cockatoo is stimulated by extended petting and cuddling and soon begins to view its owner as a potential mate. Our behavior is extremely confusing to the bird who doesn’t understand why we don’t follow through with nest building and egg laying. Why do we go away and leave them each day? Why do we show affection for others?

  • Sounds like he is saying Coco-bean.

  • He sounds like Elmo talking through a kazoo! Lol

  • I LOVE Coco!! What an adorable birdie you have!~I just wanna hug him. ^^

  • Raindance :D

  • 1:20 wow pretty

  • it's a threat/dominance display, it doesn't know what the dripping water is

  • @korictixor Seems correct.

  • cocoa: woo hoo! water!

  • How precious! Just like a little kid wanting your attention and wanting to show off for you!

  • Dear coco and lucky friends, your beautifull babys and youre love for them is so fantastic!!!!! lol annie

  • the dance at the end is fun. I have a green cheek conure who sometimes likes to dance a bit, not as good as your guy though, mine just bops her head.

  • soooooo cuteeeeee he must be happy

  • He sounds like Gizmo or Beeker. I am in love with him! Thanks for posting all your terrific videos. What a cutie!

  • yeah, that is a happy dance. the umbrella cockatoo that I have at the pet shop i work at does the same thing when he's excited

  • he's doing the rain danceXD

  • it looks like he might need his nails clipped, maybe thats why he puts his foot up so much, just a suggestion. I'm sure you take good care of him.

  • he was doing....THE HAPPY DANCE!!! *lol* XD

  • my parakeet went into psycho mode when he overheard this video o.O

  • So cute!

  • I am going to come and kidnap Coco haha! He is completely adorable. Such a beautiful character. What fantastic company he must be. These videos show how much you love him and all your animals, so wonderful!

  • Sweet, beautiful bird. My Grey won't get anywhere near running water, and perfers to entertain herself by sparring with her water bottle. :)

  • coco u are so cute ... adorable

  • aww he's so sweet, but i'm scared if i get one it'll take my eye out.

  • My B&G was talking up a storm and having a conversation with Coco as she watched this video. :)

  • coco's got a feather mullet

  • cute coco!!

  • i love coco

  • Oh, I love his little hop! I can't tell if it's "This is awesome!" or "Agh, why can't I grab it?!"

  • Coco is just fantastically adorable! Faye [My U2] And I Just loved watching this video. 5/5 :D

  • we may try this. when our birds are in the shower, they are up on the shower curtain rod. we bring each down on our arms, individually to lightly spray them. I think this might be better. We'll give it a shot. thanks FT oh yes 5/5 stars of course.

  • No expert here, but our parrot prefers to be sprayed with the spray bottle. It's also a good way to keep chlorine/chlorinate off her skin by using spring or filtered water. She also likes it when she is in the large houseplant on her perch which we put in for her. She rubs against the foliage and runs up and down the tree. Make sure the tree or plant you try, if you decide to, isn't poisonous or irritating to your particular bird.

  • good grief! we are careful with drinking water ALL of the time. I assumed that shower water is okay for us so why not for the birds? dang! I have to discuss this with the wife. thnaks for the 411. FT

  • Truth be told, it isn't all that great for our skin either and causes rough, scaly, dry skin in winter for my husband. I'm an oily Italian! I didn't mean to do the scare tactic thing. Parrots in captivity can be prone to feather picking and sometimes it can just be itchy skin and they pluck to relieve the itching. You can get a case of spring water for 3.00 these days. See how that works.

  • I like how Coco tries to grab the water!

  • why was the bird doing like that in 1:26?

  • I am not sure why he does that, but it appears to be something he likes. He is not being defensive at all. The time he ever got in the shower, he jumped up and down on my arm like that....it was like...thank you, thank you, thank you. It seems to be a happy dance :)

  • @gaybird7 worshipping the water haha

  • @gaybird7 he is trying to regurgitate his food to share it with someone or something he likes. My friends Umbrella Cockatoo does that everytime we get him out.

  • @gaybird7 He is worshiping the water gods

  • @gaybird7 It is a happy dance, I did work experiance at a animal sanctuary and when ever the parrot saw me (He's a huge proper size parrot) he would do the same and say "Helloooo" in a raspy voice and then do the dance again until I let him into my shoulder.

  • @gaybird7 Uh, my bird does that happy dance thing too! But, she does it, anywhere! && she also does this weird exorcism thing too, do all parrots do that?

  • @gaybird7 My friend's bird did that when she seemed to be happy. :D

  • @raysima Its an excitement behavior. My Umbrella Cockatoo does the same thing when excited.

  • @raysima He's having sex with it.

  • @intellegence63smart LOOOOOOOOL pervert xD

  • @raysima

This is something my bird also does when she showers.

its probably a sign of exitment, because when im showering my bird allways comes running and joins me.

  • @raysima we call it the excited dance all birds do it.... Coco does it with flare though do to his wonderful head feathers.... now if he was upset or scared he'd do the head thing without the bouncing and he would also "puff up" more

  • @raysima it's the rain dance xD

  • @raysima Cockatoos are goofballs, and most of them seem to do this sort of display. It seems to be a sign of excitement/happiness.

  • @raysima Parrots dont generally bathe, they generally get their cleaning from each other, by them self, and in the wild by the rain, so they spread their feathers out like that so the water catches them, as for the jumping thats just them getting excited.

  • @raysima Cockatoo's do that to show sheer joy , we have hundred and hundreds of em outside our back yard

  • @raysima that's normal "display" behavior for a cockatoo that is excited. A defensive move looks very different. They are rarely threatening, but when they roll onto their backs with claws up, look out.

  • This is so going to be me when i get my own place & can have pets!

  • You can sure tell from all your clips that you love your family members dearly.

  • cute bird

  • I enjoy your videos because the animals are always happy and content. Lots of love shared with them for certain. Thanks for sharing these with us in cyber world.

  • aww, he's a beautiful and happy, always nice to see that :)

  • aww your little Coco is so sweet and you can tell how loving you are towards him. This is lovely!

  • I love it when he bounces around in the tub! So cute

  • Wow, nice feathers.

  • seems like he just loves the noice of falling water, it sounds kinda "optimistic" for him

  • Amazing little creature

  • LOL! the ending was so cute! what was that! haha XD

  • He is looking for Lucky. My U2 mumbles the same way. Sometimes though she is very clear when she speaks. Don't feel bad about not understanding Coco as much as you think you should, they know we aren't as smart as they are!

  • I love his southern accent!

  • the end is hilarious

  • for some reason at 1:26 Coco reminds me of a pretty flower :3 lolz

  • COCO IS VERY SWEET!!!

  • coco love u!!! XD

  • rain dance time. XD

  • lmao i love how he gets soo excited when he sees the water and tries to grab it.

  • Is it chicken? "Po-po, po-pooo" ;)

  • what breed is this?

  • He is an Umbrella Cockatoo.

  • why on earth does it make me feel a little sad when i hear Coco speaking? He certainly looks like such a happy bird in the water :)

  • He is a very happy bird. When he is talking he is trying to communicate and loving life. He does yell also, and those are the times when I feel bad for him. I wish he could talk more clearly so I could really help him. He really is like a baby :-)

  • @PSUIrishDave probly cause he sounds so sweet and calm

  • I love how he tries to grab it!

  • Chisa: tried 2 email 2 u but u have block on: was going to comment and accidentally removed instead of replying. Please forgive. I am trying to get more videos sharing the "not so nice side" of Coco. He can scream like there is NO 2morrow. I just want everyone to understand that these are fiesty birds and when not happy he lets you & the entire neighborhood know. When I am able to get a decent video I'll upload. It's hard because when he sees me he stops yelling. He is one sly and needy bird. :)

  • he said coco

  • 0:17 he said 'wheres lucky'

  • woah, that Cockatoo is so brave ;D
