If needs be is the key phrase to that. In trying to repel an invasion, calling the inability to communicate a strength is massively stupid. Miscommunication it's own can result in complete failure. You are talking out of your ass. There is no US force,exception of special forces, that will go into a area without support.

Every time I mention the Iranian military, you mention the Iran people stepping up for themselves. They, Iran, want to fight the US on their, Iranian, soil. Make sense to you? The insurgency forces would be more localized especially depending on how far into Iran US forces would push. The Iranian military has about as much chance as Iraqi forces did if you want consider actual military forces, though Afghanistan did have an air force at the time of invasion. Guerrilla warfare has been around for a very long time but that is only part. You are also seeing a influx of non-military personal moving into the countries from other countries. Also, no rules of engagement and they have a complete disregard for human life...

Over 2/3 of their military is conscripts that have the equvialent of basic training for US soldiers. Then there is also the fact that their ground forces are split into two branches that do not communicate well with each other. Then there is also the underestimation of Iraqi security forces which will be battle harden. With a mulitnational force, there'd be no chance for Iran.

They have their training and are trained for possibly outcomes. The US has units and formations trained to do the exact same thing. If needs be is the key phrase to that. In trying to repel an invasion, calling the inability to communicate a strength is massively stupid. Miscommunication it's own can result in complete failure. In that scenario, units acting independently is not a good thing. In scenario where you are surround, independent movement becomes necessary but still isn't recommended. The insurgency forces would be more localized especially depending on how far into Iran US forces would push. At current troop levels in those regions it would be impossible. However, if we invaded Iran there were would be a drawdown of troops or better yet, the use of those two countries as base points. Iranian forces would have to go right through US lines to get to key social and economic targets. Also, by this point Iraqi and Afghani forces would be battle hardened from fighting insurgencies inside their own countries. You are also forgetting some native groups do not like perisans at all...

At the current moment, you might be right. But what you are missing from equation is the US initating. Last I heard, we weren't having a troop build up to invade Iran. If Iran initates, you have NATO and the UN involved. Personally, I don't see the US invading Iran or Iran invading Iraq/attacking the US.
