poor production or lack of better direction...

He should choose his parts in movies more carefully or the crew behind these movies.

Then again...he really enjoys it, no matter what movie he appears in...or so it seems.

Apart from the special effects, movie was horrible overall: villains looked stupid (including Mephisto: with that The Devil meets Sherlock Holmes look), plot was crap, bad acting, etc. Nicolas probably did the best he could, but in the end I'm pretty sure he is sorry about taking part in this little fiasco.
