  • ugh, love hopkins!! Fav and best actor ever

  • Damn i just realised this scene was already uploaded before I did uploaded it, my bad Chirpy.

  • Very deep heart felt movie. It just touches me deeply for no reason. May be it's the friendship and magic.

  • same from were i sit, incredible deep movie.

  • Everyone needs a person like Ted Brautigan in their lives, or at least Hopkins' version of him.

  • In 30 years, and 1000s of movies, the greatest narrative/monologue scene I have ever seen. It takes a brilliant actor to make something sound so powerful. What an amazing, glorious story...

  • stephen king with this book in my opinion is on the same level as harper lee and carson mccullers with the "coming of age" theme...his level of insight and mastery of the language is truly worthy of a pulitzer prize..too bad he didn't get one

  • Fail. They took out the Dark Tower Connection. Not acceptable.

  • all things serve the beam

  • i had to watch this for english and im now doing an essay on it. i love this movie. this is my favorite part!

  • This is one of the greatest movies ever! Totally amzing!

  • greatest football player that ever lived... bronko nagurski

  • I like at the end when he's carrying that little girl up the hill and thinking about this story and he kept going and going.

    Great inspiration.

    Good movie.

    GREAT movie..

  • The reason the psychic told the boy the story about Nagurski was because he knew he needed to hear it to help him carry the girl up the hill.

  • chekov is just a baby here :P

  • He plays Reese in T4

  • Great movie!

  • recorded at minimum volume?

  • This kid bobby was in alpha dog as a teenage adult and that movie was balls

  • it is a waaay better book, i was severely dissapointed by the movie

  • Yeah they had to drop the Dark Tower references so Joe Trashcan wouldn't get too confused. Ahh the wonderful, dumbed down world of american cinema.

  • thats a shame to hear cause i loved the movie, but the cover of the book makes the movie seem so much darker

  • the book was awesome. still haven't seen the movie but to anyone reading this who enjoyed the movie, do yourself a big favor and read the book. it's such a gnarly look into the effects of the vietnam war, and just that whole era.

  • the movie is not good if u read the book first. THe movie only covers the first short story, and the creepiness of "the lowmen" is completly removed

  • Great!!

  • the best movie ever!!!!!!!!!!

  • good book.

  • i luv his movie it is the best movie in the world !

  • great book

    have special mystery and spell

every human must cry on end

  • Bronko or a Biblical parable of Jesus carrying our cross to Calvary.

  • Bronco Nagorski, "nothing can stop me"...

  • Man..masterful storytelling. Everyone who watches this has the same reaction as the kid. It is a great moment.

  • ...and wishing cannot make it so...Brilliant!

  • This is very beautiful!

  • hey im going on a trip soon and im looking for some good stephen king novel's to pass the time. any1 got any good ideas? what are your favorites?

  • the body.

    sadest book/movie ever.

  • Great scene. Hopkins is such a great actor. Love dthe book, loved the movie.

  • one of the greatest scene in movie history. bronko nagurski a true legend. the way that game ended was a true hollywood ending

  • Like the film... I'm paranormal myself, so it's nice to see such thing back in movie/book...

  • wow... what happened to Ted?! This just isn't right!

  • The book was so much better, because the movie ruined my image of Bobby and Ted! The book will always be better than the movie in most cases. The acting was good though.

If you ever get a chance, read it! Great book.

  • Yeah, the book, undoubtedly, rocks. And although I haven't seen the movie, I'm sure that it can't be better than the book. This clip sure supports my claim. Even though Hopkins acts decently well, he sure ruined my image of Ted too, and the Bobby, whoever acted his part, just plain stinks! :-)

  • i love this book

  • I love this movie.

  • i just finished readin the book i want 2 see the whole movie lol and the low men in yellow coats

  • I've never read the Stephen King book, but this scene is from William Goldman's book Magic. I'm pretty sure he wrote the screen play for this movie. Anthony Hopkins is in the movie version of Magic too, but this scene isn't in it, actually it's just the story about Nagurski in the book. I'm pretty sure Magic is out of print, but it's excellent so if you can get it read it.

  • wonderful book

  • it is a fantastic movie. My idol Hopkinks.

  • this is so real

  • both are beautiful the book and the movie

  • i like the book more then the movie, they left so many good parts out

  • love that book.

    And the dark towers!

  • Damn good book so far.

  • The Book was Remarkable!!!

  • Hotsytotsy hahaha

  • if you really think that the film is good, then just go read the book and prepare to be spellbound.the film only takes up the first part of the book up until about 300 pages but if none of you have read the book then you dont know that bobby becomes a real troublemaker and heavy smoker.and carol ends up becoming sully's girlfriend. the book really is much richer than the movie and still the movie is amazing.

  • I ahevn't seen the movie, but I'm almost finished reading the book. Although I was upset that Carol didn't end up with Bobboy, books would be pretty boring if everything we expected happened.

  • flawless..

  • In the interview with the movie director.. He says that this special scene, he insipired in his grandfather, which was and old lonesome man and loved him a lot..

but the best scene for me is that one in which he is captuured by the fbi men and bobby touches the glass car and cries desperately.

Oh man, i'm crying ! Love it =)

  • What u call Fbi men are actually Low men. They are actually creatures some vampires that wear human mask. Servants of the Crimson King which is all tied to the dark tower.

  • and Ted is a breaker that scaped the dark tower

  • This is the best movie EVER!

  • this is my fave movie ever

  • brilliant act of anthony....

i'm in love with this man, i sew that moviw and let me tell you i've cryied the entire show...

    thank you for posting this!

  • hehe...its really difficult not to love him ;)

Anthony sits there and talks, yet he just has incredible screen presence and his voice which makes this scene so memorable. Hes always watchable.

I know! this movie is so sad....its very moving.

  • I've also cried then. ;)

  • @queen106 You should read the book if you have`nt already- its excellent.
