Damn these audio censors. I hope the gentleman who browses youtube videos looking for unauthorized use of audio tracks continues to live a lonely life as long as possible.
is it harder to do normal skiing on skiboards? whats are they like off piste? im thinking of giving them a go, mite try them out at the fake slopes first.
It takes a few hours to get used to them but after that you'll find them just as easy (if not easier) than normal skis. As there under 1 metre long (mine are 62cm which is the shortest I can find) going off piste will cause you to sink... and then it's a long walk back to the piste.
@Bu12341 basically but technically they are very different with snowblades being far inferior to real skiboards. Google the term "Salomon Snowblades: Skiboardsonline"
A. Snowblades are an inferior brand of skis made by Salomon. Only a ski made by Salomon can be called a snowblade. Skiblade is just another term for a snowblade. True skiboards are 110cm and under, twin tip, symetrical, wood core and use the universal 4cm x 4cm binding pattern
I'll be ordering some revolts later this week from exclaimskiboards, and I absolutely cannot wait to get back into the snow, let alone wielding a brand new pair of boards =)
Man skiboarding is the best. And skiing of course. I snowboard but i recently skipped three seasons for it and sucked when i went yesterday. Half of it was because i needed to wax the board and the sides are all rusty so i'd be doing what i always did best; extreme side swiping when i would always fall after the board stuck. ANYWAYS I'm gonna get into skiboarding today or tommorow and go to my cities nice hill for some extreme carving.
Great video. I hardly if ever see anyone on these. i have a pair of Snowblades, but I'm looking for a new pair, but I have no idea where to find a new pair
no, skiblades is the Saloman brand which aren't true skiboards. They don't have the hourglass figure, and if I'm remembering correctly, they aren't twin tipped either.
@Bu12341 most snowblades were not twin tipped and were narrow and pretty crappy. Salomon made one model though that was twin tipped and wider, it was the best one they ever made, the SB9. But it did break a lot when ridden hard in the park. Maybe you have that one.
I'm just mirroring the sentiments of everyone else when I say "WOW" about that finishing move. As a New Jersey skiblader, I am absolutely dying with the weather this year. I am so jealous of anyone that can ride right now. My local ski hill even had to shut down because their 2-10" of man-made snow disappeared.
Keep it up. We need more people with steez like that.
im going to show this video as a background while i present how to snowblade to my class for a project.

Broneck01 4 years ago
Yeap, much easier and a lot more fun. No poles needed. Just boots, bindings and a decent sized hill. They're a real blast.
