BTW: complaining about how donation dollars are used is ridiculous. If people want to give to the body of Christ that is their decision - what difference does it make how it used? Wasn't it Judas who complained about the oil being poured on Jesus's head - saying it should have been used differently? Think about it.
I like the Mercy Seat of Christ a whole lot more than Nick Cave's Mercy Seat. Nick Cave's is hopeless, cynical and desperate. Christ's is full of hope, restoration, healing, peace, power, forgiveness, joy...

Nick Cave is extremely influenced by Christian themes and gospel music, and he happens to make some of the most beautiful music in the world.
Nice! I go to this Prestonwood (3 campuses) and this was the Christmas performance. It is really nice. I'm not sure, but I don't think I went to this performance back in 2008. Prestonwood is a really good church. It's big and everyone makes friends. My family has probably met 30 families and speaking of that, one of them will celebrate 4th of july with us today. But in this video the chior has microphones. Not now, in 2011. but anyway, you should come visit if you ever come to the dallas area.

jesus was a trickster and all the people thought, he was sent by god. i don't know, so you can't know this, too. in history of the human the story (so all those facts, for example the revival after 3 days of death), that fits to jesus, was used for about 1000 gods (yes, really 1000) right before. for example in egypt where many of those sun-gods. all had the same storys and facts about their life. you give your life to a book. i would never follow the harry potter books,would u?

Though I must admit that I came here looking for Nick Cave's Mercy Seat. It is admittedly a far darker song, but it is also an infinitely more powerful song both in terms of fantastic lyrics and from a Christian perspective.
This performance just blows me away. All those young faces and voices with such emotion... I know they mean every word. The lead vocalist is simply amazing. Miss, please submit more of your worship performances. The song itself is powerful but you take it over the top. Thank you and all of those involved with this superb project of love, song, and grace.

Jesus is not the power of positive thinking. That was a book written by a secular humanist. This song was birthed from a revival(which i loved) where people were burning in the fire of the Holy Spirit, shaking, screaming, falling on the floor unconsious as God touched the people. And now the very hipocrites that condemned the revival(they wouldnt see the positive) they are turning Spirit birthed music into a broadway production at Caiafus' temple. This song was not meant for a big production that loses so much of the Holy Spirit. It is way too anointed and best sung actually A-cappella solo with far more feeling than this talented gal does. Those who have ears to hear.... His mercy seat call of forgiveness and freedom healing is the only place to go when you want to turn your life around. You do not want a Hollywood production to help you get there. I know this much.
The anointing of the Holy Spirit is not limited to acapella renditions. It is not hindered nor enhanced by strong production values. It is a matter of the heart. it is a matter of openness to what God has for you regardless of the externals.

That was actually pretty sweet.
Though I must admit that I came here looking for Nick Cave's Mercy Seat. It is admittedly a far darker song, but it is also an infinitely more powerful song both in terms of fantastic lyrics and from a Christian perspective.

This performance just blows me away. All those young faces and voices with such emotion... I know they mean every word. The lead vocalist is simply amazing. Wow...I don't know who this is, but she has an amazing voice! What a gift from God! This song has always been such a blessing to me, from the first time I heard Charity James sing it at the Brownsville Revival in Pensacola, Fl. And of course, the Vicki Yohe original is amazing!

Jesus is not the power of positive thinking. That was a book written by a secular humanist. This song was birthed from a revival(which i loved) where people were burning in the fire of the Holy Spirit, shaking, screaming, falling on the floor unconsious as God touched the people. And now the very hipocrites that condemned the revival(they wouldnt see the positive) they are turning Spirit birthed music into a broadway production at Caiafus' temple. It takes about five or six years before religion gets ahold of something born of the Spirit and tries to perfect it with their flesh. When this song was birthed in a Holy Spirit revival,...people were screaming on the floors, burning in the fire of the spirit, repenting for their worldlyness and sin, bieng healed of their diseases,...and now? This song is bieng sung by American Idol wannabies,...its just so sad.

This song was not meant for a big production that loses so much of the Holy Spirit. It is way too anointed and best sung actually A-cappella solo with far more feeling than this talented gal does. Those who have ears to hear.... His mercy seat call of forgiveness and freedom healing is the only place to go when you want to turn your life around. You do not want a Hollywood production to help you get there. I know this much.
