theyre seriously flawed devices, no flash... email program is sucky and crashes. Apple promised OS upgrades havent fixed the "evil email" crash problem in like 2 years. $800 laptop on Newegg - GeForce 240M with 1GB VRAM, 4GB System RAM, Intel i3 dualcore 2.13GHz, 1366 x 768 resolution, Windows 7 Premium 64-bit, 500GB HDD, webcam.
$700 iPad - Very basic Intel graphics chip, 1GHz Single-core processor, (I'm guessing) either 512MB or 1GB of Main RAM, 1024x768 resolution, 64GB HDD, Basic iPhone OS, no webcam.
@MetroidJunkie2007 It is a A4 chip which is very powerfull. But this is not meant to replace a computer. So comparing it to a notebook or desktop or netbook is not right, IMO. Oh and i have used Windows 7 and a few programs (that are made for windows!) run once and then it crashes after opening it up a second time (roxio creator ultimate 09)
@pnutty7 Well, Steve Jobs was trashing the Netbook so I'd say THOSE are fair to compare it to and, if the M11x is any indication, the iPad doesn't come close. As for programs crashing on Windows 7, did you ever stop to think it could be the program? Unless you have an identical version of it on Mac OSx...
@MetroidJunkie2007 It seems that people never think it is MS that is at fault. They must be magical. And with no proof or reason why it would be Roxio (in this case) and not MS. Funny. Actually I now have Roxio Toast which is basically the same program (with a different GUI interface over it) and it works fine. The MX11 does not have a touch screen so comparing it to the iPad is wrong. These are all straw man arguments because you guys have nothing,
Yeah I dont think im going to be investing in an ipad when i got a perfectly good ipod touch 1st gen. (jailbroken) keeping me happy. As for the character of the day im not familiar with so imma say "the fonz" in monster form!
