When you watch this movie you begin to realize that the filmmakers treat the birds like an incoming storm. Scenes like when Mitch is boarding up the windows reveal this. That makes it more frightening.....we can't control the weather or birds. We are never told why the birds attack, again making them more unpredictable and more scary. This is my favorite Hitchcock movie. I've watched it at least 20 times.

@s4ujcd great vid, great tribute to a classic. The Birds is one of my favorite movies and I LOVE In the house in a heartbeat as well as 28 days/weeks later.Even as a kid, I always thought that Suzanne Pleshette looked hotter than Tippi and Tippi was very pretty IMO. SP at 1:03.
