  • Is there a good PC Engine emulator to play this game but with the original CD ROM? I´m planning to buy this version.

  • Thumbs up if you wanna live in Neo Kobe 2042.

  • lol girian seed

  • i wish this came out for PC

  • 懐かしいゲームだし、ありがたく見させてもらったけど

    タイトルがちゃんとしてないから次の動画がどれかわからんし、間が切れてるし・・・

  • This is cool but I have a question. Is the PC version in english also?

  • Nope.

  • And it's the PC Engine, which, despite it's name, is not a PC but a gaming console.

  • Ah. Thanx. I play the Sega CD version all the time. Snatcher is one of my all time favorites!!

  • What is the title of the song 3 minutes into the video?

  • Don't worry I found it. It's on the Snatcher Zoom Soundtrack. Track title is "Snatcher - One Night In Neo Kobe"

  • i have mounted the iso archive (109mb) on the DaemonTools and the MagicEngine don't have accepted....

    can you help me?

  • Thanks a lot, HennesHansen!

I love the drama especially the PC Engine version!

    I thought I couldn't see it again!

  • Sorry, HannesHansen...

I love the "game" especially this version!

I mistook because I was too excited...

  • If you want to play it again just download the iso of this game and use a PC Engine emulator like MagicEngine or Ootake. (I prefer the latter one, it's more reliable.)

  • Thank you for your prompt reply.

I also appreciate your love for Japanese games.

  • That music is pretty amazing.

  • 5/5

The Sega CD version is still my favorite for a few reasons: the 2nd shot of the city in the intro, the conversation between Gillian & Jamie, the deep-voiced narrarator, the in-game music, the touched-up artwork, and the personalties/diction from the U.S. voice cast. I know it's not what Hideo intended, but I enjoyed it regardless.

That, and maybe the fact that I played the game when I was 10 years old when it first came out.

Thanks for uploading. It's great to examine the differences.

  • Forgive me for sounding noob, but is the 'Snatcher' thing a virus that turns people in robots? But just on the inside...? I read a feature on this game back in '95, but it only talked about the graphics changes when it was ported to the PSX.

  • Nope, it's not a virus. That's all I'm gonna tell you, if you want to know more you either watch Ronack's "Snatcher Run" videos, or, even better, you play the Sega CD version yourself, it's very easy to find an working iso of the game.

  • Oh! Thanks, not owning a Sega CD would have made the second one more...uh..effort-y...lol. Thank you! =D

  • There's a good Sega CD emulator, called "Gens". With that you can play Snatcher without problems on your PC.

  • Spiff! Thanks....sonic....cd....drool.....

  • I noticed that there's an extra scene in the Sega CD version where Gillian talks to his wife before he takes off. Just noticed that.

  • I love this game so much....

For some reason i like my pcengine ver more than the sega cd.

    Tyrant Multimedia on myspace

  • The PC Engine game is widely agreed among elitists as the definitive version...

Kojima-san has also said that he thinks this is the definitive version...as for me...AGREED!!!

  • Her, Jamie and Isabella are hot as well, but Mika is my favorite.

  • Anyone else think Mika is a major hottie besides me? :D

  • @MegaFanatic187 me too

  • Why do all the other versions say June 6th, 1991, but Sega CD says June 6th, 1996?

  • Because all the other versions were only released in Japan and the first version for PC88 which was released in 1988 had the date 1991. The Sega CD version was only released in USA und Europe and never in Japan and because it was released in 1994 and most western gamers never heard about Snatcher before, they changed the date, because at that time 1991 was already a little bit outdated.

But the canoncial date is of course June 6 1991.

  • I wonder what date would it be if they remade it for the next gen systems

  • Propably June 6th 1991, since it's a fictional story anwayay, there's no need to change the date of the catastrophe. Hideo Kojima wasn't involved in the US version at all, he wasn't responsible for the date change but if there would be a remake, Kojima would either direct it, or at least supervise it, so I don't think they'd make any changes to the story and dates.

  • Well if was made now I think that the date would be the the present time

  • And the birthdates to some of the chicks in the game were changed for sega cd.. Because they were jailbait

  • I just love the intro to this game, it gets the essence of Neo Kobe city just right =).

  • agreeed
