$210 on newegg... I think imma get this instead of the Corsair case I was looking at. It suits my needs perfectly and matches the color scheme of my motherboard and RAM. Does it have a fan controller though? At $200+ I'd expect a case like this to have one
I'm buying this case despite the fact I am using a Intel system, this case just calls for everyone to use. I think it would be definitely awesome if they created neutral cases with awesome windows on them.
;_; Damn, wanted this case so badly, then right within the week I had the funds for the case and components, it dissapears from newegg completely. Now the prices are jacking up because it is a limited special edition and I cant manage to order from other websites. I love that dragon touch to it, that fleshy red interior, ati and amd. So now I settle with a cheap Lian li PC-K62 and an ugly df-30 that will prob just sit in the box ontop of my cabinent.
@knobb94 The fans are 3 pins and it also comes with molex adapters. Its a great case i have 1 myself and ive had it for around a year now and still think its the best case i wouldnt trade it for any other cases. And to Turokdinosaurkiller's comment there is infact dust filters at the front and bottom of the case and you can buy the extra fans for the front of the case u can have upto 3 fans and 9 hard drive bays. This case also fits Monster cards like the 5970 for example also big cpu coolers.
I so wanted to buy this case, but I won't. AMD is engraved in the corner. Why oh why!! It ruins the whole deal. Why invest 280+ euro in a case when it says AMD on the side of the case... Intel baby!! Damn, now I got to search for another, similar case... Such a waste.
WHAT A GREAT CASE! Everything from top to bottom it is 120%! and yes I know it only goes up to 100% but this case is great and it even can take a hit. the only thing wrong with it is that it had a fish smell to it but I got that out with the built in fans. Overall it gets a 10 out of 10 and I totally recommend that brand as a case.
@xXNayzerXx The default front fan is attached to that hdd cage so I would assume you can't. But since you want silent computer you wouldn't install any additional fans, right?
Yes. All 5,25 bay covers have an undetachable dust dilter(metal net).
If you want silence you need lots of those mats. This case is designed for airflow, not silence. Most noise insulating mats i have seen are not made for any case in particular. You have to cut them youself in pieces that fit in the case.
@TheSympathon All 5.25 bay covers have small metal net that acts as a dust filter. That fan might also have its own separate dust filter, I'm not sure about that though. Atleast my case doesn't have any dust in it and I have been using it for two months now.
I have this case and all I have to say is that for most people its not really worth it(for me it is). I bought it because it is the only case that has both; coolness and elegance.
what's the difference (aside from price) between this case and the pc-k62? and why is this one $220cad and the pc-k62 only $120cad? they both have all the same features, the pc-k62 has same size window with out the dragon graphic, and with out the red interior
Lian-Li's LANCool line are steel cases. Lian-Li's proper are all aluminum. The LANCool PC-K62 is approximately analogous to the Lian-Li PC-P50, except the K-62 has a sideways mounted drive bay.
very very similar to the lancool dragonlord pc-k62 for twice the price, altough the case is blue led'ed and is steel. lian li made a cheaper version of this i see... lancool is a sub company of lian li... same thing realy.
the case is awesome...and the song too....that song really makes me want to buy this case...still i think the HAF 932 is cheaper and better than this case
I have just got this case and i have to admit it's a stunner all who have seen it in the flesh agrees, expensive but you do get what you're paying for.
Plus it takes a 5970 not many midi cases can manage that.
Hey Lian Li, how long is the PC-P50R going to be for sell? Is it only for the 2009 year? I really would like to get it, but that won't be until a month or two into 2010. Am I barely going to miss the opportunity to get this case?
the pc-p50r will stay for a while, and it definitely wont go within 2months, the P50-RSE would be a bit different, but suppliers still seem to have alot of them, and tbh the spider window is UGLY as.
Seeing how this is only 230 dollars on Newegg. This is a great case. Would probably last for a life time. I might have to put more money into a case when building my next PC.
well they both have two top 140mm fans, they're both toolless, same shape for the front leds, same places and number of fans(added of course), same place for buttons, psu at the bottom and they're both midtower! But don't get me wrong, I really like your cases and I appreciate what you're doing it's just that they're expensive!
I know the spec. does looks the same, but the details are different, the two fans which on the top cover had fitted with anti-vibration mounting kit, which reduce the vibration, and also easy to remove for service, same to the tool-less kits, all our tool-less kit has fitted with rubber pad to reduce vibration, and hold the hardware firmly.
You don't have to go into so much detail! I meant an improved version of the NZXT Tempest! I mean I would choose your case over the tempest but the front has 1 less fan and no DUST FILTERS!!!
lian li steals cooler masters ideas. these lian li cases are all overpriced and provide a low build quality. They have the same amount of features as most better, cheaper cases.
Dont belive me, look at the coolermaster cm 690, which is more attractive than the armoursuit and is a fraction of the price too!
Got mine a bit ago, pictures and videos dont do it justice. My only major problem seems to be that 3 of my fans wont go over 900rpm and one is registering at 12k rpm... i wish... and theres a gap under the top panel that the red light seeps out of
LOL. thanx for letting me know. at least now i don't have to call them. i can paint the cage they sell, but it wouldn't be the same with the anodized red. o well..
My only gripe about this cause is I wish the graphic was positioned higher along with the window so I didn't have to look at my PSU and could also see my CPU fan better.
would it be possible to buy another HDD cage with a 120mm fan and have both installed in there? do u guys sell it with a red anodized version w/ matching fan also?
Oke looking case, but I dislike the graphic on the side panel. The style is just awkward =/ It seems to be very functional and that's a big plus. Those PCI holders look great. This also has to be the best promotional video for a PC item ever ^_^
not on reaction to this message, but you acctualy gotta make some thing to put the cables under. You got a system to tie um all up to the clips right under -> thats great but the cables keep visual......
If u put a system like the PSU only then a bit bigger, over the cable clicky things :P you wont be able to see them even there, and ever1 is happee :P
I have an EVGA X58 Classified, and this case looks like it will fit it. The Classified is only about an inch wider than EVGA's first X58 board --- I've had them both, and that's the only size difference I've seen.
I don't mind the dragon window but I don't see why companies bother celebrating the dragon platform when intel have been pwning AMD for the past 3 years and counting now. I'd rather get the other version of it and make my own side panel.
There are 140mm radiators, just no good 140mm fans. For a fan in open air, CFM is the measure of performance. However, on a rad, you want static pressure, which is why fans like the zalman zm-f3, scythe s-flex, and san ace are king on the radiator. There just aren't powerful enough 140mm rad fans yet to make the change worth it.
Delta has 38/50mm thick 140mm fans in their FBB and FHB lines. If you look through their lists of suppliers, you may find some in the US that will sell you under 10 fans. Be prepared for them to cost upwards of $30 EACH.
ams2990...the sflex is a terrible fan for static pressure. even the cheap cooler master fans have nearly double the pressure. i have tested man many fans, brands and models. so far the best fan I used is the Gelid Wing. (just the wing model though, the other model is not good under pressure). Runner up is the Thermalright fans.
am i allowed to put intel and nvidia hardware in this case?

Finally, a case with a COMPLETELY tool-less design, and it is just done flawlessly. Can you expect any less from Lian Li?
