Only singer I have ever heard who could loose a note (4:53) like that and actually cause the song to take on even more emotion because of it! What a recover!
@redfrontedconure Please, Im as devoted a Pava fan as there is, but even he was, in his own words, "for the truth", and truth is the note cracked. It happens to all singers on occasion and doesn't for me, detract from the beauty of his performance! Probably could count on one hand the number of times it ever happened to Pava during his 44 year career. Just amazes me how he could handle it in such a way as to make his audience even question it ever did happen; ie, adding so
@appeace1 much emotion, or singing down the scale, or smothering the cracked note into the hair of his soprano co-singer by nuzzling her hair--something his audience probably would not even notice. Then we wonder--did he crack or was it just emotion or scale or romance??? In any case, Pava was and always will be the best tenor to ever grace a stage!

@appeace1 he never lost a note , it's pavarotti putting emotion into his voice as he has in so many of his arias ) God Bless him!!!
