OK people, no one cares if you don't like their acting. Both versions of Skins are notorious for hiring AMATEUR actors. Don't watch US Skins if you don't like. Okay, I'm an American and I can honestly say I prefer the UK version over this crap. Who can honestly say the US version is better? Oh yeah, people who watch mindless television like Jersey Shore and Real World and all the crap MTV spews out. I mean SERIOUSLY. I'm not trying to bash, but it's just that damn awful. The acting is horrid. No depth, no emotion. You can tell they're 1st time actors. You can't with the UK one. I HIGHLY recommend the UK one. Season 5 is absolutely brilliant.

Knowing American culture, and now British, the UK one is a hell of a lot better at showcasing "teen culture". And I've seen every episode of the US one, and it's honestly not that great. I keep waiting for it to get better. Camera angle? Wtf, okay. How can you say the UK acting is shit? It's amazing. WAY better than US.

Ok i can live with the US creating their own series of Skins but does it have to be such a plagurism of the origional. I mean seriously the origional series (1&2) was amazing and all your gonna do is piss of countless loyal fans with either a shit remake or a mediocre copy.... In these kinds of situations its better to be origional and write your own series rather then ripping off someone elses. Its just common sense that you dont seem to grasp because this isnt the first show to be badly remade

@ognimoddd it's definitely "hotter" but they sacrifice a lot w/ the censorship. we'll see how it turns out. the other problem is that US likes to extended the show way past it's worth. If you check out the UK version, they have under 10 eps a season. I wonder if it'll have the same message. We'll see...
