Cool. I had no idea people outside USA and Canada played American Football. Too bad an American team cant play other countries...we would crush them haha.
@AlohaMaggieSteele hahahaha that's what i thought too. but i looked up and the only match for usa is japan. i dont know how but japan gave usa an overtime and a hard time...
@spritedblue because the US does not play serious players for international competition..from what i understand they are all college players from small schools
@spritedblue not this year, because now Japan will be third with Canada playing for the first time, Canada is definately the second strongest in the world at football.
@AlohaMaggieSteele no one in there sane mind would deny that america is the greatest football country in the history. this World cup is for promotional purposes in you bring the real American team to play it would be like doing a drift world cup with japan represented by her most talented drifters it's not gonna happen anytime soon at least if the other countries develop their teams so that they will be able to give a decent match against them.
Those are the smallest offensive linemen I've ever seen haha. I wish the NFL would more deeply integrate into the international scene, as well as the MLB and NBA. The US looks like shit at everything that's international simply because our best players stay where the money is, which is our own pro leagues.
mike. I referee highschool football here in the states and I didnt know it until i started getting invites from referees overseas on facebook. I am friends with a bunch of officials from japan , germany, mexico, austrailia. hell austrailia has a womans american football league that uses NCAA rules
@ranger082469 Exactly man, me either, I really hopes this continues to grow and be as popular or even more popular then Baseball and Basketball is across seas
So how big is america football in other countrys now, I mean if not for youtube I would have no idea this sport was being played outside the US, I mean I knew there was a few teams, like the berlin thunder out there, but japan playing the sport is something I had no idea about, I really hope this can grow.
The Euro-Bowl collapsed after losing US$32m every year and nearly all the current teams in Europe are amateur, with their few 'professional' players (ie: American ring-ins) getting paid the princely sum of US$200 a month, If you want a good laugh, look up the London Blitz videos on Youtube; they're the single biggest and most dominant team in England, yet play on a council park in front of a dozen spectators.Gridiron is a dying sport
@SD78 - @SD78 - Erm .. Not really .. If it's dying, then why does your average season in the NFL hold about 16-18 millions fans in just only 256 total games .. Or NCAA College Football holds about 10 millions fans in just about 170 games ... Or in Canada where Canadian Football which is the same thing as Gridiron still is hugely popular in Canada ... Only reason why that's as it is is because American Football isn't as highly promoted nor wasn't really played in Europe. Soccer always dominated.
@SD78 - Just like Soccer in America .. It wasn't really heavily played nor watched until in 1994, the world cup was hosted and a Major League Soccer was created ... Soccer still isn't really huge but it's something ... They have American Football pro leagues in Germany, France, Mexico, Brazil, Australia and have a good nice semi large fan base. So think again before you talk dude because you sound really stupid.
The entire competition is AMATEUR, with a handful of 'pro' ring-ins getting paid the princely sum of US$200 a MONTH.
Look up the Sports Illustrated article on the Berlin Adler (the biggest and most successful German Padball team). It's absolutely hilarious. Better yet, look up some of there videoes on Youtube. There is literally no-one in the stands.
@SD78 - Why are you calling it Padball ? It's supposed to be a growing sport .. It's not like it's prime time game in Germany where lots of people gonna view it .. Same thing with soccer in America, 20.000 seat stadium would have 2.000 people. Know it full on Average. And as for the Superbowl, 12 of the viewership was from outside the US. And how is it dying if it was just starting ? And I actually did see an Berlin Adler game and it was decent crowd. Wasn't meant to fill the whole park.
The NFL lost nearly half a BILLION dollars propping up the failed 'Euro Bowl' and the game is currently played by a tiny fringe of hobbyists and ex-pat Americans. If you actually watched some of the Berlin Adler clips, you'd notice that there is virtually NO-ONE in the crowd.
Watch the Great Britain vs. Sweden game. They're playing on a paddock in the middle of nowhere and the British players can't even afford the same coloured helmets!
@SD78 - Okay .. I get your point .. NFL not liked in Berlin. It's growing game. Jesus Christ. It's not ranked topped sports but interesting enough to attract some sort of audience ... Football has been an American thing for the last 60 years ... We just started breaching around the world.
@SD78 - Like soccer in UK .. It's like a monopoly because it part of there history and to them it's culture and has been played there for the last 200 years .. Same thing in the US in football ..It's more of a direct contact sports if you may then rugby which you mostly just run around, no deep passing or screen plays or kicking 50 yard field goals into 18 feet wide poals ... It been here longer and the rouger the sport, more Americans like .. But hell man .. Fuck the arguing ..
@SD78 - I mean rugby is more like run around and chased, your occasional dog piles pushing and such .. In American football, it's stop and go.... You can deep pass, short pass, run the ball and direct contact with players because you go forward with them instead of chasing .. I mean I like rugby and used to play it at school and found that really fun sport ... But it's just a monopoly here because it's our culture and we've been playing it pro for the last 100 years .. Enough arguing dude.
@AnotherYankee You didn't play Rugby at school, otherwise you would know there is more to it than 'being chased and dogpiles'.
Padball will never be successful outside of America and the best they can hope for is a couple of exhibition games a year. There was a recent study that showed the ball was only in play for SIXTEEN MINUTES out of a the typical mind-numbing three hour broadcast. The players LITERALLY spend half the time sitting on the sideline while a WHOLE OTHER TEAM is on.
@SD78 - Although he NFL is the richest sports league in the world with total assest estimated around in US dollars $33.6 billion dollars. Your average team values around $985 million dollars in assests ... And MLB Baseball last year sold over 70 million tickets in the US alone and we are the 3rd richest sports league in the world. Although the NFL only plays in USA, we still are the most valuable and richest sports league in the world ..
@SD78 - Um you must have some sort of down syndrome ... If you can right out Indian Premiere League and not MLB .. You have some problems .. But anyways .. The NFL attempted to popularize the sport ... it has catched on in some peoples eyes but I wouldn't say waste because it was a try .. Baseball is played pro , USA (OF Course), Canada, Mexico, Venezuela, Japan, South Korea, Cuba, Mexico, Domincan Republic, Netherlands ...
@SD78 - It's semi pro yet it's heavily played .. In Dutchland, a team named DOOR Neptunes averages 1500 to 2000 people per game .. If you don't believe the stats, youtube videos will prove it too you .. And I meant pro league as in it's the highest level of baseball in their country. It's still high and played by many. I said growing interests ... As in growing popularity. And I still don't really care about it's out reach around the world .. Still very machismo and heavily popular over here.
@SD78 - The Neptunus have had over 10 games where they have 1.500 plus people in the crowd in 2008. Baseball fields are like soccer fields in the Netherlands .. You haven't been there so I wouldn't say much if I was you. And rounders is a different game .. Go try watching a Baseball game. You can see many people in Soccer field throwing Baseballs around. Baseball is played more then rugby and American football and cricket.
If you actually watched some of the Honkbal Hoofdklasse clips, you'd notice that there's maybe 50 people in the crowd.
Many people
Cricket is MUCH bigger than Baseball, by a country mile. It's practically the national religion of the entire Indian sub-continent, on top of being the national Summer sport of England, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand and the Caribean.
Rugby has 400,000 registered adult players in England ALONE and is a major sport across the world.
@SD78 - Baseball is still more heavily played around then world then Rugby. There's over 42 million people who play organized baseball in America. That's about 14% of the country. Baseball is more popular because it's play in more places around the world ... India has about a billion + people in it and everybody follows the same sport so go figure.
LOL...source? Are they part of organised Rounders competition or just playing 'catch' in the backyard? Or are you just making stuff up again?
Rugby has over a million adult players worldwide and plays to capacity crowds around the world. Rounders has a fraction of that number and can't even maintain a fully professional league outside America, Japan or Korea. Even in the Netherlands, the typical top-level game is played in front of 50 people.
@SD78 - The study was taken by one of the world top universities, Harvard/Yale School Sports studies .. Which is a branch of some of the world top universities ... 42 million people include Little Leagues, High School, Junior Leagues, MLB Minors, college baseball .. If you were to include people who play catch and play in minors .. I could guarantee that number would be over 75 - 80 million people. Go learn something you fool. You and your biased comments.
@AnotherYankee nobody like baseball anymore bro. who the hell is gonna watch over a 160 games of boring shit.
NFL is the most popular sport in america for a reason. baseball is just some boring roid shit anymore. baseball used to be a legitimate sport to me but not anymore.
@nelsoncards - Cleary shows how stupid you are and how vial your points are .. Although you say it used to be a legitimate sport which makes no sense because it's still the same today .. And if you say "nobody likes baseball anymore", Baseball is played by over 40 millions people in the US .. Over 70 million tickets were bought by fans each year .. So think about it ? I mean if they put you to play in a Baseball game .. I wanna see home scared you would be of a ball going 90 miles an hour at you
@nelsoncards -Football is the most WATCHED .. Key word is watched while over 42 million people play baseball .. Now there's debates on whether Basketball or Baseball are played more but Football is no where near the match .. NFL plays once a week .. So they have a week to promote games and fans only watch the games ONCE a week which puts a rise in intensity .. While Baseball there's game daily .. Some games are watched more then others depending on the day .. But learning baseball is more hard.
ofcourse i know there are more people that play baseball and basketball nationwide. thats not because these sports are more popular its mainly because for 1. there easier and 2. if FOOTBALL WAS EASY EVERYONE WOULD DO IT.
and learning baseball is hard? have you ever even fucking played football?
dont answer that lol.
and why the fuck do you think mlb plays so fucking much? the game is so fucking easy and does little to the body
@nelsoncards - And then you ask if I have commen sense ? Football you have 16 games ... Baseball you have 162 .. Now imagine you playing a game 150 times a year .. You think the players just go out feel all pumped and just play ? You think there bodies don't ache ? So you clearly don't know much about MLB and how players go about. And if it's so easy, why isn't everyone perfecting it ? Everyone in the MLB ? Explain to me that ? Now imagine you going out to play for 6 months straight ..
@SD78 - Dip shit .. 5 million people play in a league .. 42 million play it as hobbies .. I play baseball but not in any league. So recheck your sources. 42 million people don't play in a league, just play it for the fun .. I know about 100 people who play baseball as a hobby. 5 million + people play organized baseball, 40+ million play it .. Huge difference bud.
@SD78 - Wow ... It's not me saying this .. I'm not the one making up this stat. An estimated 40 million + people play baseball in the US .. Not specifically in any association OR LEAGUE .. But 40 million people pick up a bat and a ball and go to there local park ... Not play the sport itself .. And counting the millions who just go to the park and catch or play softball with a group of friends . You don't need to sign up in a league to go to a park.
@SD78 - "According to recent studies conducted by the Harvard/Yale School of Sports Studies and SportsStudies Unlimited (of the United States of America), approximately 42 Million people (not counting women) play baseball in the United States, in any given calendar year (this is not even considering lifetime numbers). "
""The kids just don't continue playing once Little League is over." SGMA figures show that the enrollment of children in amateur leagues grew an amazing 156 percent, from 1.8 million players in 1985 to 4.6 million in 1996. Despite this boom, which SGMA attributes to T-ball programs, the dropout rate is very high among children. "Interest is just waning," May says. "Baseball, unfortunately, doesn't seem to be America's favorite sport anymore."
@SD78 - There you have it .. T-Ball ... You go search up what T-Ball is and then restate your comment. And I'm talking about people in general .. Not little leagues ... Hell, I stopped playing baseball for about 2 years when I was 15 .. Now I'm 17 and I play baseball all the time . I go to the batting cage here and there or go to the park with some buds and just catch .. There's more Baseball fields in America then money lol ..
@SD78 - Oh lord your to fucking complicated to talk to .. People aren't taken by the number of people who play it organized ... You just play it for the heck of it., Not waste 100 bucks on a league or anything. AND i Was using an example of myself saying that I still play baseball but not just in a league so my name along with millions of others who just throw the ball around ... People in America refer to playing baseball generally to go to the park and throw the ball around and what not.
Well gee, I must count towards both the Walking and Swimming statistics seeing as I just went to the beach. Also, the Frisbee Ultimate statistics seeing as I threw a frisbee around!
@SD78 - And that 4.6 million dock was about 14 years ago. You have to look into today's stats .. So number is by far higher. 4.6 million people were recorded into playing in a Baseball league back in 1996. Same with Football (American). Only around 16 million people play it, but hundreds of millions watch it . I don't know if your getting my text here but your being a little hard headed .. I'm referring to organized as the Baseball with gloves and a bat. Not a full team and game.
@SD78 - And if your thinking I mean playing ball for young children, it's all ages ... Not playing in a little league doesn't mean you don't like baseball or don't play it.
@SD78 - See your points are very vial ...Obviously it isn't pro because it's a new sport people have been playing for little a little while and marketing football in the country isn't really big. And I beg to differ from your statement over American Football in London ... I seen the game and watched live vids and practically the whole crowd sang save the queen while no one herd any noise for American national anthem.
Rugby has a huge following in a lot of countries and a solid grassroots presence in countries you wouldn't even associate with the sport. Padball outside America is a JOKE.
Cricket players in the Indian Premier League earn on average MORE than the average Rounders player in the American MBL (or whatever it's called). Mahendrah Singh Dhoni earns more per season than all but six American Rounders players.
@SD78 - And if you want to associate this with money .. The highest payed Cricket player in the world makes 10 million bucks a year while the best of the MLB an example Alex Rodriguez makes 27 million dollars a year. Or Derek Jeter which makes a good 24 million dollars a year. The Highest payed A. Football player makes 15 millions bucks a year. 12 out of 25 the biggest and most expensive sports contracts belong to the MLB .. Learn bud.
The highest paid Cricket player is Mahendrah Singh Dhoni, whose latest contract puts him at US$21m a year. That's more than all but six American Rounders players.
@SD78 - OMG ... A cricket player makes 21 million dollars a year :O. I'm so amazed .. And yeah exactly 6 more BASEBALL not rounders what ever the fuck that is have huger figures ... And then the manyh others that make 15 million a year, 18 million a year, 16 mill and all that shit. Aslong as we have it at large here .. We love the sport and we have million of fans watching and taking interest .. Only reason why the sports in these countries are popular is because they been always playing them.
Rounders is the original name for 'Base Ball'. It's what schoolgirls and small children play in Britain and the Commonwealth. The average player salary of the Indian Premier League is MORE than the average salary of the American Rounders League.
@SD78 - I don't even think Americans in general care if the sport goes worldwide or not .. It's still loved in North America and is heavily played in Canada. And no .. The Average cricket player doesn't make much more money then MLB Baseball players does .. Do your research.
@SD78 - Baseball has been heavily popularized in Europe ... Growing interest's in countries like Italy, Spain, Germany, Netherlands and played in ammeter levels in other countries .. Football is heavily popular in the USA and Canada .. I don't think fans really care about an out reach or not ... Every weekend, 110 million people watch games and shows popularity within the country .. It's a fun sport to play and to reach the top .. You need a lot of talent.
LMAO@Rounders being popular in Europe...even in the Netherlands it's a tiny fringe sport. The highest level of the game is the Honkbal Hoofdklasse league, which is SEMI-PRO and games are typically played in front of a couple dozen spectators, maybe a couple hundred for big games.
The 2009 Padball 'Super Bowl' was watched by around 95m people, 98% of whom were in North America.
@SD78 - Many Europeans have turned to Baseball ... Number can range over a million. It's not live soccer or anything but shows a sort of popularity in it's own way. And I don't just only mean pro baseball .. But people who pick up a glove and play catch and play some ball or go to the park and bat. Over 35.000 thousand people joined Netherlands Baseball Federation .. And around 80 thousand plus throughout the whole nation. I have dutch German decent in me and been to Dutchland many times.
There is NOWHERE near a million Rounders players in Europe and there might not even be that many adult players in the entire world. The Netherlands is considered to have the single most prominent Rounders presence in Europe and it only has 30,000 registered players of all ages.
LOL@'Dutchland'...and 'Dutch German' would make you an ethnic minority, less than 'Dutch Indonesian'.
@SD78 - and your wrong ... You could find crowds with over 10.000 people in Mexico where the MBL is played. Dominican Republic is a really tiny country but hell, you have thousands of spectators at a Caribbean League. In Venezuela also, Canada, and what not. Search up "WK Honkbal 2009 Randall Simon Batting in Amsterdam" crowd had at least 4.000 people in which a Dutch Friend of mine says it was average for Amsterdam Pirates.
The Mexican Pacific League has an average attendance of 3,800. Nowhere near the 10,000 you claim.
Randall Simon was an American ring-in playing for the Netherlands in the so-called 'World(lol!) Baseball Classic', not a regular season game. The ground doesn't even have a capacity of 4,000.
Look up 'Honkbal 3' to see what the typical Rounders game in the Netherlands looks like.
@SD78 - Only reason why you can conclude why Cricket is so followed is because 75% of India follows it .. Country of a billion people .. In the US .. There isn't just one national baseball association ... There are thousands of public little leagues, private little leagues, high school baseball teams and what not. Excluding the ones who just go catch in there backyard, hit the batting cage or what ever. So I will stop arguing with you because it's pointless and getting boring.
Indian...and Pakistan...and Sri Lanka...and Bangladesh...that's around 1.5 billion in the Indian sub-continent alone. Then there's England Australia, South Africa, New Zealand and the West Indies.
According to the US sports participation figures, there are 4.6m non-adult Rounders players in America and far less than a million adult players. Nowhere near the 48m you claimed. Just stop lying.
@nelsoncards - Baseball is still watched by over 40 million people each day .. 49 million people buy tickets for games .. So to ask me if I have common sense is pretty dumb when you clearly lack of it by just making vial point out of no experience .. I don't count a 20 game little league expierience btw.
@SD78 - You can watch International game where the NFL plays a game in London for the last 4 years in Wembley Stadium and every single year, it's sold out heavily ... If it's dying .. Why on every NFL sunday, it is watched by over 178 million viewers worldwide ..
That's the ONLY game held outside America in the entire world. The NFL tried to host a Padball match in China, first in 2007, then again in 2009. They was cancelled both times due to lack of interest. The vast majority of the Wembley crowd are either American ex-pats, pro-wrestling nerds or curious onlookers there to see a novelty act. It's a massively hyped, one-off annual freakshow.
Roughly 95m watched the 2009 'Superbowl'; only 2% of that figure outside America.
@SD78 - And about this sport being the only outside of America shows your lack of knowledge and of sports .. Baseball is named second most popular sport in the world. Played pro in USA, Canada, Japan, Mexico, China, South Korea, Netherlands,Italy, Venezuela, Caribbean Nations, Germany and played in small league all over Europe. And Hockey ? Basketball ? AMA Pro Racing ? Think before you talk some sense bro.
Baseball is WAY down the list. Cricket has a much bigger following, as does Basketball and even Rugby. Ice Hockey is only a semi-major sport in a handful of countries. MMA is still a long way from being a regarded as a legitimate sport in most countries.
@SD78 and that's why Wembly Stadium sells out every time 2 NFL teams play there it could be the Detroit Lions and the St. Louis Rams and it would still sell out
@SD78 "freakshow" is what you call it for those people that actually played it in the US and have a passion for the game it's war. it's something that people that come from other countries or haven't truly played the game simply can't understand. when the equipment is on it makes you think you are the Juggernaut, that you are invincible.
Outside of America, no-one gives a shit about Padball (American ex-pats don't count).
The premier Padball team in England (the London Blitz) play on a council park in front of maybe a dozen friends and family. The Great Britain 'international' team played against Sweden (supposedly a European powerhouse) on a deserted rural field and couldn't even afford the same colour helmets!
@SD78 Apparently Japan does... "NO-ONE GIVES A SHIT" to me means they can't fully grasp the game. considering it is far more complex than other sports. considering it is the only sport where the coach it just as if not more important than the players themselves. and believe it or not there is an American football world cup. just found this out recently. and i repeat it's football not padball
-No-one cares about Padball outside America, except in Japan.
-Rounders players outside America don't typically earn more than five figures(if that), except in Japan.
-People don't get aroused by watching tentacle rape porn, except in Japan.
LMAO@the Padball 'World Cup'...each team is what the various countries can scrape together from the tiny player base in their local amateur competition.
@SD78 yeah pretty much and the US had strict regulations on who can play. no pros, no D-1 college players D-2 and D-3 only, no current college players, and they had to be out of college for less than a year. and Canada plays too. the tentacle rape porn comes from strict laws against showing the penis in art so they used tentacles as an allegory for hundreds of years. don't get me wrong it's weird as hell but that's how it was. and i repeat its football, padball is a bad computer game like pong.
@SD78 Ive seen your posts in other videos similar to this and tbh it really seems you have something against this sport. Seems you go out of your way to research all the negative about this sport outside of america. You call it a dying sport but then bring up the london blitz, they are very small club but regardless they still play it same with japan, germany, finland, italy,russia, poland, etc again very small but atleast they play it.
@SD78 I know you may not like it and many others around the world probably dont either, however theres always going to be those few that play it alot like here in america where soccer/football and rugby are played by clubs but that doesnt matter as long as its played and those sports arent dying here imo. Not expecting either sports on each side to replace the more popular ones. Looks like you are getting some kind of enjoyment spitting out these numbers of the amount of money nfl europe lost...
@SD78 If this sport was such a joke then it wouldnt be played, simple as that. I mean even when the nfl hold their games at wembley they do get huge crowds there and i seriously doubt those are all americans and nerds as you call them. As a matter of fact there has been talk of starting an nfl franchise in the uk because apparently there is big demand over there. But i believe that to be a load of bs lol. If this sport is jusy played in america and played little outside of the u.s thats fine.
@SD78 Ok and in what way is this affecting you? So what its ex-pats and hobbylist.who happen to like the game and play the sport, its doing no harm to anyone. You seem to just want the sport to die outside of the u.s simply because you happen to not care for it. As far as a london franchise, I myself believe its stupid, however there obviously seems to be some kind of demand for it and the nfl being a business would also be stupid not to give it a shot.
@SD78 I dont know if you happen to be a big rugby fan or football/soccer fan, but Im sure you know theres no chance of this sport overtaking those sports. But if theres just a few clubs around of people who couldnt or dont want to play either of those sports and they just happen to enjoy american football then i dont see the problem with that. Its like that in the states aswell. Rugby and football/soccer are very small here but its cool to me that they enjoy and play them.
I am really glad other country's are trying to make american football international. Would be nice to see how other country's would do against USA. Now for the other country's if you want to compete at USA level. Need to Bulk up. Need at least 300lbs on the line.
@Tezku dont forget canada because if the actual pros from each country played in this it would be usa vs. canada in the final we are the only countries that are actually good
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
What the fuck? Since when do the Japanese play this gay fucking retarded 'sport'? They're great at real football so why do they need to play this shit?
@Kra7as Haha you idiot. Umm they play it because they like it you dumb fuck. Yes they are great at football/soccer but why is that the only sport they need to play? If they like it they play it and they are good at it so shut the fuck up. You probably wouldnt last in a game anyway fuckhead bitch.
The USA clearly has the best in american football but I don't understand why people aren't appreciating the fact those in the video are trying to make this sport an international one, a sport where you can represent your country. If Baseball and Basketball can spread across the world and develop into olympic sports why can't american football?
@holkn No because the real professionals dont actually play in these world cups most people dont even know about these world cups in the good countries canada and the usa the sates would make you quit in the first half with their pros and canada would kill you.
Yes, that's true, but you sound like you think the reason for that is the superiority of those countries or something. The real reason is the fact that A.Football isn't played seriously anywhere in the world yet. It started really spreading just about 20 years ago, so it's only normal that USA and Canada are the best by far. Also, US pros would destroy the Canadians.
But it was like that in basketball 50 years ago and now it's not. We should just wait and see.
the music ruins it.

So how big is america football in other countrys now, I mean if not for youtube I would have no idea this sport was being played outside the US, I mean I knew there was a few teams, like the berlin thunder out there, but japan playing the sport is something I had no idea about, I really hope this can grow.
Solidus1321 1 year ago
@Solidus1321
American Football is a JOKE in most countries.
SD78 1 year ago
@SD78 with this logic, you could say gridiron was always dying
literalgameboy 1 year ago
@SD78 - @SD78 - Erm .. Not really .. If it's dying, then why does your average season in the NFL hold about 16-18 millions fans in just only 256 total games .. Or NCAA College Football holds about 10 millions fans in just about 170 games ... Or in Canada where Canadian Football which is the same thing as Gridiron still is hugely popular in Canada ... Only reason why that's as it is is because American Football isn't as highly promoted nor wasn't really played in Europe. Soccer always dominated.
AnotherYankee 1 year ago
@SD78 - Just like Soccer in America .. It wasn't really heavily played nor watched until in 1994, the world cup was hosted and a Major League Soccer was created ... Soccer still isn't really huge but it's something ... They have American Football pro leagues in Germany, France, Mexico, Brazil, Australia and have a good nice semi large fan base. So think again before you talk dude because you sound really stupid.
AnotherYankee 1 year ago
@AnotherYankee
LMAO@the professional German Padball League...
Padball is a dying sport.
SD78 1 year ago
@SD78 - Why are you calling it Padball ? It's supposed to be a growing sport .. It's not like it's prime time game in Germany where lots of people gonna view it .. Same thing with soccer in America, 20.000 seat stadium would have 2.000 people. Know it full on Average. And as for the Superbowl, 12 of the viewership was from outside the US. And how is it dying if it was just starting ? And I actually did see an Berlin Adler game and it was decent crowd. Wasn't meant to fill the whole park.
AnotherYankee 1 year ago
@AnotherYankee
Padball DIED in Europe.
SD78 1 year ago
@SD78 - Okay .. I get your point .. NFL not liked in Berlin. It's growing game. Jesus Christ. It's not ranked topped sports but interesting enough to attract some sort of audience ... Football has been an American thing for the last 60 years ... We just started breaching around the world.
AnotherYankee 1 year ago
@AnotherYankee
The NFL tried and failed. They pulled the plug after LOSING $32m a year and were forced to admit that they lied about the attendance figures.
Five of the last six European franchises were in Germany for the simple reason that much of the crowd were American servicemen stationed in Germany.
SD78 1 year ago
@SD78 - Like soccer in UK .. It's like a monopoly because it part of there history and to them it's culture and has been played there for the last 200 years .. Same thing in the US in football ..It's more of a direct contact sports if you may then rugby which you mostly just run around, no deep passing or screen plays or kicking 50 yard field goals into 18 feet wide poals ... It been here longer and the rouger the sport, more Americans like .. But hell man .. Fuck the arguing ..
AnotherYankee 1 year ago
@SD78 - I mean rugby is more like run around and chased, your occasional dog piles pushing and such .. In American football, it's stop and go.... You can deep pass, short pass, run the ball and direct contact with players because you go forward with them instead of chasing .. I mean I like rugby and used to play it at school and found that really fun sport ... But it's just a monopoly here because it's our culture and we've been playing it pro for the last 100 years .. Enough arguing dude.
AnotherYankee 1 year ago
@AnotherYankee You didn't play Rugby at school, otherwise you would know there is more to it than 'being chased and dogpiles'.
Padball will never be successful outside of America and the best they can hope for is a couple of exhibition games a year. There was a recent study that showed the ball was only in play for SIXTEEN MINUTES out of a the typical mind-numbing three hour broadcast. The players LITERALLY spend half the time sitting on the sideline while a WHOLE OTHER TEAM is on.
SD78 1 year ago
@SD78 - Although he NFL is the richest sports league in the world with total assest estimated around in US dollars $33.6 billion dollars. Your average team values around $985 million dollars in assests ... And MLB Baseball last year sold over 70 million tickets in the US alone and we are the 3rd richest sports league in the world. Although the NFL only plays in USA, we still are the most valuable and richest sports league in the world ..
AnotherYankee 1 year ago
@AnotherYankee
Padball is a local niche sport only played in America.
Internationally, Rounders is either amateur or semi-pro, except for Japan (and possibly Korea).
SD78 1 year ago
@SD78 - Um you must have some sort of down syndrome ... If you can right out Indian Premiere League and not MLB .. You have some problems .. But anyways .. The NFL attempted to popularize the sport ... it has catched on in some peoples eyes but I wouldn't say waste because it was a try .. Baseball is played pro , USA (OF Course), Canada, Mexico, Venezuela, Japan, South Korea, Cuba, Mexico, Domincan Republic, Netherlands ...
AnotherYankee 1 year ago
@AnotherYankee
I have Downs Syndrome, yet you wrote THIS sentence?
"If you can right out Indian Premiere League and not MLB .. You have some problems"
It's either amateur or semi-pro in all of those except for America, Japan, Korea and the Toronto BJ's (it's semi-pro in the rest of Canada).
SD78 1 year ago
@SD78 - It's semi pro yet it's heavily played .. In Dutchland, a team named DOOR Neptunes averages 1500 to 2000 people per game .. If you don't believe the stats, youtube videos will prove it too you .. And I meant pro league as in it's the highest level of baseball in their country. It's still high and played by many. I said growing interests ... As in growing popularity. And I still don't really care about it's out reach around the world .. Still very machismo and heavily popular over here.
AnotherYankee 1 year ago
@AnotherYankee
LMFAO!!!!
1- the Door Neptunus ground has nowhere near the seating capacity for 2,000 people
2- There's virtually NO-ONE in the crowd to begin with!
Rounders is a tiny fringe sport, even in the Netherlands, where it's supposedly popular.
SD78 1 year ago
@SD78 - The Neptunus have had over 10 games where they have 1.500 plus people in the crowd in 2008. Baseball fields are like soccer fields in the Netherlands .. You haven't been there so I wouldn't say much if I was you. And rounders is a different game .. Go try watching a Baseball game. You can see many people in Soccer field throwing Baseballs around. Baseball is played more then rugby and American football and cricket.
AnotherYankee 1 year ago
@AnotherYankee
SD78 1 year ago
@SD78 - Baseball is still more heavily played around then world then Rugby. There's over 42 million people who play organized baseball in America. That's about 14% of the country. Baseball is more popular because it's play in more places around the world ... India has about a billion + people in it and everybody follows the same sport so go figure.
AnotherYankee 1 year ago
@AnotherYankee
SD78 1 year ago
@SD78 - The study was taken by one of the world top universities, Harvard/Yale School Sports studies .. Which is a branch of some of the world top universities ... 42 million people include Little Leagues, High School, Junior Leagues, MLB Minors, college baseball .. If you were to include people who play catch and play in minors .. I could guarantee that number would be over 75 - 80 million people. Go learn something you fool. You and your biased comments.
AnotherYankee 1 year ago
@AnotherYankee nobody like baseball anymore bro. who the hell is gonna watch over a 160 games of boring shit.
NFL is the most popular sport in america for a reason. baseball is just some boring roid shit anymore. baseball used to be a legitimate sport to me but not anymore.
nelsoncards 1 year ago
@nelsoncards - Cleary shows how stupid you are and how vial your points are .. Although you say it used to be a legitimate sport which makes no sense because it's still the same today .. And if you say "nobody likes baseball anymore", Baseball is played by over 40 millions people in the US .. Over 70 million tickets were bought by fans each year .. So think about it ? I mean if they put you to play in a Baseball game .. I wanna see home scared you would be of a ball going 90 miles an hour at you
AnotherYankee 1 year ago
@AnotherYankee believe im the first to tell you that playing baseball is defenitely fun. ISNT FUN TO WATCH.
american football is the most watched sport in the usa and baseball is not the same anymore. everyone of my old heros have all used steroids.
bonds, mcgwire, rodriguez to name a view.
and i would hope they could sell that many tickets when each team plays over a 160 games a year.
i played football and wrestled... both defenitely tougher than baseball ;)
nelsoncards 1 year ago
@nelsoncards -Football is the most WATCHED .. Key word is watched while over 42 million people play baseball .. Now there's debates on whether Basketball or Baseball are played more but Football is no where near the match .. NFL plays once a week .. So they have a week to promote games and fans only watch the games ONCE a week which puts a rise in intensity .. While Baseball there's game daily .. Some games are watched more then others depending on the day .. But learning baseball is more hard.
AnotherYankee 1 year ago
@AnotherYankee do you have any common sense?
ofcourse i know there are more people that play baseball and basketball nationwide. thats not because these sports are more popular its mainly because for 1. there easier and 2. if FOOTBALL WAS EASY EVERYONE WOULD DO IT.
and learning baseball is hard? have you ever even fucking played football?
dont answer that lol.
and why the fuck do you think mlb plays so fucking much? the game is so fucking easy and does little to the body
nelsoncards 1 year ago
@nelsoncards - And then you ask if I have commen sense ? Football you have 16 games ... Baseball you have 162 .. Now imagine you playing a game 150 times a year .. You think the players just go out feel all pumped and just play ? You think there bodies don't ache ? So you clearly don't know much about MLB and how players go about. And if it's so easy, why isn't everyone perfecting it ? Everyone in the MLB ? Explain to me that ? Now imagine you going out to play for 6 months straight ..
AnotherYankee 1 year ago
@nelsoncards - Anyways .. I won't argue anymore .. I love both sports and watch and play both so I don't really care about your statements .
AnotherYankee 1 year ago
@AnotherYankee
LMAO@42 million people playing Rounders...only around 5 million people play in the whole of America.
SD78 1 year ago
@SD78 - Dip shit .. 5 million people play in a league .. 42 million play it as hobbies .. I play baseball but not in any league. So recheck your sources. 42 million people don't play in a league, just play it for the fun .. I know about 100 people who play baseball as a hobby. 5 million + people play organized baseball, 40+ million play it .. Huge difference bud.
AnotherYankee 1 year ago
@AnotherYankee
LMFAO!!!!
Sports participation figures specifically refer to ORGANISED SPORT, not throwing a ball around in the backyard.
I guess I'm a 'competitive walker' because I walk to the shops every once in a while? LOL!
SD78 1 year ago
@SD78 - Wow ... It's not me saying this .. I'm not the one making up this stat. An estimated 40 million + people play baseball in the US .. Not specifically in any association OR LEAGUE .. But 40 million people pick up a bat and a ball and go to there local park ... Not play the sport itself .. And counting the millions who just go to the park and catch or play softball with a group of friends . You don't need to sign up in a league to go to a park.
AnotherYankee 1 year ago
@SD78 - Not at one point in my other comments did I mention that all 40 mil + play competitively ..
AnotherYankee 1 year ago
@SD78 - "According to recent studies conducted by the Harvard/Yale School of Sports Studies and SportsStudies Unlimited (of the United States of America), approximately 42 Million people (not counting women) play baseball in the United States, in any given calendar year (this is not even considering lifetime numbers). "
Those aren't my words ..

@AnotherYankee
LOL!
SD78 1 year ago
@SD78 - There you have it .. T-Ball ... You go search up what T-Ball is and then restate your comment. And I'm talking about people in general .. Not little leagues ... Hell, I stopped playing baseball for about 2 years when I was 15 .. Now I'm 17 and I play baseball all the time . I go to the batting cage here and there or go to the park with some buds and just catch .. There's more Baseball fields in America then money lol ..
AnotherYankee 1 year ago
@AnotherYankee
So the actual number is EVEN LESS than 4.6m because most kids stop playing once they leave Little League? You're not helping yourself here!
Once again, sports participation refers to organised sport, otherwise you're not comparing apples to apples.
SD78 1 year ago
@SD78 - Oh lord your to fucking complicated to talk to .. People aren't taken by the number of people who play it organized ... You just play it for the heck of it., Not waste 100 bucks on a league or anything. AND i Was using an example of myself saying that I still play baseball but not just in a league so my name along with millions of others who just throw the ball around ... People in America refer to playing baseball generally to go to the park and throw the ball around and what not.
AnotherYankee 1 year ago
@AnotherYankee
Well gee, I must count towards both the Walking and Swimming statistics seeing as I just went to the beach. Also, the Frisbee Ultimate statistics seeing as I threw a frisbee around!
SD78 1 year ago
@SD78 - And that 4.6 million dock was about 14 years ago. You have to look into today's stats .. So number is by far higher. 4.6 million people were recorded into playing in a Baseball league back in 1996. Same with Football (American). Only around 16 million people play it, but hundreds of millions watch it . I don't know if your getting my text here but your being a little hard headed .. I'm referring to organized as the Baseball with gloves and a bat. Not a full team and game.
AnotherYankee 1 year ago
@AnotherYankee
Uhhhhhh...it's not an 'organised game' unless it complies to the actual rules of the sporting organisation.
SD78 1 year ago
@SD78 - And if your thinking I mean playing ball for young children, it's all ages ... Not playing in a little league doesn't mean you don't like baseball or don't play it.
AnotherYankee 1 year ago
@SD78 - And stats on that site are more then 15 + years old.
AnotherYankee 1 year ago
@SD78 - If you don't like .. Don't like it.
AnotherYankee 1 year ago
@SD78 - See your points are very vial ...Obviously it isn't pro because it's a new sport people have been playing for little a little while and marketing football in the country isn't really big. And I beg to differ from your statement over American Football in London ... I seen the game and watched live vids and practically the whole crowd sang save the queen while no one herd any noise for American national anthem.
AnotherYankee 1 year ago
@SD78 - Hell .. It's like Rugby. Very underground in most countries but still in a sense played. or Cricket ?
AnotherYankee 1 year ago
@AnotherYankee
SD78 1 year ago
@SD78 - And if you want to associate this with money .. The highest payed Cricket player in the world makes 10 million bucks a year while the best of the MLB an example Alex Rodriguez makes 27 million dollars a year. Or Derek Jeter which makes a good 24 million dollars a year. The Highest payed A. Football player makes 15 millions bucks a year. 12 out of 25 the biggest and most expensive sports contracts belong to the MLB .. Learn bud.
AnotherYankee 1 year ago
@AnotherYankee
The highest paid Cricket player is Mahendrah Singh Dhoni, whose latest contract puts him at US$21m a year. That's more than all but six American Rounders players.
SD78 1 year ago
@SD78 - OMG ... A cricket player makes 21 million dollars a year :O. I'm so amazed .. And yeah exactly 6 more BASEBALL not rounders what ever the fuck that is have huger figures ... And then the manyh others that make 15 million a year, 18 million a year, 16 mill and all that shit. Aslong as we have it at large here .. We love the sport and we have million of fans watching and taking interest .. Only reason why the sports in these countries are popular is because they been always playing them.
AnotherYankee 1 year ago
@AnotherYankee
Rounders is the original name for 'Base Ball'. It's what schoolgirls and small children play in Britain and the Commonwealth. The average player salary of the Indian Premier League is MORE than the average salary of the American Rounders League.
SD78 1 year ago
@SD78 - I don't even think Americans in general care if the sport goes worldwide or not .. It's still loved in North America and is heavily played in Canada. And no .. The Average cricket player doesn't make much more money then MLB Baseball players does .. Do your research.
AnotherYankee 1 year ago
@AnotherYankee
Since 2009, players in the Indian Premiership League make more on average than players in the MBL (or whatever it's called).
The NFL 'cared' enough to throw away half a BILLION dollars propping up the failed Padball league in Europe.
SD78 1 year ago
@SD78 - Baseball has been heavily popularized in Europe ... Growing interest's in countries like Italy, Spain, Germany, Netherlands and played in ammeter levels in other countries .. Football is heavily popular in the USA and Canada .. I don't think fans really care about an out reach or not ... Every weekend, 110 million people watch games and shows popularity within the country .. It's a fun sport to play and to reach the top .. You need a lot of talent.
AnotherYankee 1 year ago
@AnotherYankee

SD78 1 year ago
@SD78 - and your wrong ... You could find crowds with over 10.000 people in Mexico where the MBL is played. Dominican Republic is a really tiny country but hell, you have thousands of spectators at a Caribbean League. In Venezuela also, Canada, and what not. Search up "WK Honkbal 2009 Randall Simon Batting in Amsterdam" crowd had at least 4.000 people in which a Dutch Friend of mine says it was average for Amsterdam Pirates.
AnotherYankee 1 year ago
@AnotherYankee
SD78 1 year ago
@SD78 - Only reason why you can conclude why Cricket is so followed is because 75% of India follows it .. Country of a billion people .. In the US .. There isn't just one national baseball association ... There are thousands of public little leagues, private little leagues, high school baseball teams and what not. Excluding the ones who just go catch in there backyard, hit the batting cage or what ever. So I will stop arguing with you because it's pointless and getting boring.

@AnotherYankee
Indian...and Pakistan...and Sri Lanka...and Bangladesh...that's around 1.5 billion in the Indian sub-continent alone. Then there's England Australia, South Africa, New Zealand and the West Indies.

@SD78 - You can watch International game where the NFL plays a game in London for the last 4 years in Wembley Stadium and every single year, it's sold out heavily ... If it's dying .. Why on every NFL sunday, it is watched by over 178 million viewers worldwide ..
AnotherYankee 1 year ago
@AnotherYankee
SD78 1 year ago
@SD78 - And about this sport being the only outside of America shows your lack of knowledge and of sports .. Baseball is named second most popular sport in the world. Played pro in USA, Canada, Japan, Mexico, China, South Korea, Netherlands,Italy, Venezuela, Caribbean Nations, Germany and played in small league all over Europe. And Hockey ? Basketball ? AMA Pro Racing ? Think before you talk some sense bro.
AnotherYankee 1 year ago
@AnotherYankee

@SD78 and that's why Wembly Stadium sells out every time 2 NFL teams play there it could be the Detroit Lions and the St. Louis Rams and it would still sell out

@Poptartza
It's a one-off annual freakshow attended by pro-wrestling nerds and America ex-pats.
You could have the two worst Padball teams in the NFL have their reserve teams play and no-one apart from the ex-pats would know the difference.
SD78 1 year ago
@SD78 "freakshow" is what you call it for those people that actually played it in the US and have a passion for the game it's war. it's something that people that come from other countries or haven't truly played the game simply can't understand. when the equipment is on it makes you think you are the Juggernaut, that you are invincible.
Poptartza 1 year ago
@Poptartza
One again, NO-ONE GIVES A SHIT.
SD78 1 year ago
@SD78 Apparently Japan does... "NO-ONE GIVES A SHIT" to me means they can't fully grasp the game. considering it is far more complex than other sports. considering it is the only sport where the coach it just as if not more important than the players themselves. and believe it or not there is an American football world cup. just found this out recently. and i repeat it's football not padball
Poptartza 1 year ago
@Poptartza
That's where the 'Japan Rule' comes into effect:
-No-one cares about Padball outside America, except in Japan.
-Rounders players outside America don't typically earn more than five figures(if that), except in Japan.
-People don't get aroused by watching tentacle rape porn, except in Japan.
LMAO@the Padball 'World Cup'...each team is what the various countries can scrape together from the tiny player base in their local amateur competition.
SD78 1 year ago
@SD78 yeah pretty much and the US had strict regulations on who can play. no pros, no D-1 college players D-2 and D-3 only, no current college players, and they had to be out of college for less than a year. and Canada plays too. the tentacle rape porn comes from strict laws against showing the penis in art so they used tentacles as an allegory for hundreds of years. don't get me wrong it's weird as hell but that's how it was. and i repeat its football, padball is a bad computer game like pong.
Poptartza 1 year ago
@SD78 Ive seen your posts in other videos similar to this and tbh it really seems you have something against this sport. Seems you go out of your way to research all the negative about this sport outside of america. You call it a dying sport but then bring up the london blitz, they are very small club but regardless they still play it same with japan, germany, finland, italy,russia, poland, etc again very small but atleast they play it.
91gt306 3 months ago

@91gt306
The whole point is that Padball ISN'T played, other than by a tiny fringe of ex-pats and hobbyists.
If the NFL were genuinely stupid enough to create a London franchise, it would be as big of a disaster as the failed Euro Bowl.
SD78 3 months ago

Im sorry but if you want to try to prove yourself good beat the states or at least beat canada the only good countries at football

we should encourage the spread of american football worldwide. It is a really good gentlemen sport. Soccer suck !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@MingTheMerciful
I agree, but if you wanna spread American Football, don't say that soccer sucks because that way you will just make people angry.

I am really glad other country's are trying to make american football international. Would be nice to see how other country's would do against USA. Now for the other country's if you want to compete at USA level. Need to Bulk up. Need at least 300lbs on the line.
Tezku 1 year ago
@Tezku dont forget canada because if the actual pros from each country played in this it would be usa vs. canada in the final we are the only countries that are actually good

What the fuck? Since when do the Japanese play this gay fucking retarded 'sport'? They're great at real football so why do they need to play this shit?
Kra7as 2 years ago
@Kra7as Haha you idiot. Umm they play it because they like it you dumb fuck. Yes they are great at football/soccer but why is that the only sport they need to play? If they like it they play it and they are good at it so shut the fuck up. You probably wouldnt last in a game anyway fuckhead bitch.

Yaa, not very impressed, Japan's linemen look like twigs compared to the average NFL lineman

The USA clearly has the best in american football but I don't understand why people aren't appreciating the fact those in the video are trying to make this sport an international one, a sport where you can represent your country. If Baseball and Basketball can spread across the world and develop into olympic sports why can't american football?
Acello55 2 years ago 35
@Acello55 exactly! an international football competition. similar to the world cup. maybe one day.

japan is world no.2, USA defeated japan in OVERTIME in the last world championship
holkn 2 years ago 13
@holkn No because the real professionals dont actually play in these world cups most people dont even know about these world cups in the good countries canada and the usa the sates would make you quit in the first half with their pros and canada would kill you.
golden7323 1 year ago
@golden7323
We should just wait and see.
nexxogen 1 year ago
@holkn Thats a bit misleading though because there were no NFL players on the US team. Anyway I love that they have embraced the sport over there.
