Hey guys! For crucial tips for understanding and exercising music theory and music composition, I've just put out an awesome and very detailed ebook on amazon.com. The link is on the video on my page. All the best to your studies in music to explore your horizons! Ciao. ArtistikRootz (Randy D) Stop by my youtube profile when you get the chance. You'll be glad you did. :P
i dig his teaching style, very clear, no show-off vibe, real good delivery. if i have a music school...i'll make him the dean of music. keep it up, we love your style.
Hey this guy is pretty good. I've been playing piano for 8 years now, and I just learned something new from watching this video. I never knew I could bring down the 9th, 11th and 13th notes back down to the same octave. Cool. I'm so gonna try this on my nextr project. Thanks Milton!!
I sure appreciate you for taking time to provide these great lessons.; I can play many songs on guitar, but still not sure what I'm doing theory wise :)
wow you actually helped me more in 10 minutes than my theory teacher now in my junior year of college.....thank you...my teacher is actually good but teaching..ehhh
Hi! I'm a piano teacher myself - looking on youtube for different ways of presenting lessons to my students to see if there are methods that they might find easier or more interesting than the way that I was taught. Your way of explaining the way around the keyboard is very simple and yet it covers all of the concepts that they need to know. Thankyou!
Sir - i am sam from downunder - Aust - my son (5 y o) has me why does the middle C lies in the middle of the key board and not A - since A is the first letter of the Alphabet?
i have a piano in my house...i truly wish i could play! i jusy believe that i'm not smart enough...not to mentio i can't read music:( i adore classical...but truthfully I LOVE ALL music...THANKL YOU FOR POSTING THIS
I work with music from the heart but this was great. Something about the sweetness in this man's voice that creates focus on theory. I already knew some of this but it was great to learn more! thanks
I'm a drummer that took music theory classes as an elective in college. That's how I figured out how to play the piano. Theory is like a mathemaitical formula for music. Once you learn it in theory you can apply it to any key.
Just like going to school for anything else: So you can make a living doing something you love! I went to school for music and I've been playing and teaching guitar for a living ever since. I love my job as a professional musician. Getting an education always gives you an edge, especially in the highly competitive music business.
I learned alot just by watching u than other videos of this sort on youtube...can you PRETTY PLEASE post a video on how to do arpeggios up and down the keys, gigging, soloing what ever you want to call it...along with some practicing techniques..cant get my fingers to walk on the keys..ya'll make it look easy
I like this guy. He explains things so well. Twice sometimes three times. He is probably one of few "real" music teachers that upload their knowledge for free. Thanks "bassicprincipal" I subscribed.
Super tutorial for the basic stuff. I didn't quite get the chord part so I'll just skip it for now (I have a music theory book so I will have to read up on scales first).
this may have been asked already, but where is the e-sharp? There are only 5 black keys...
