Sobbing and weeping as I write this. So very hard to watch this video. But I forced myself to in their honor. I knew of the Orissa incident. A friend over at Myspace who lives in India told me about it at the time and enlisted my husband's and my prayer. So sad. The Father's heart weeps too I am sure. However, you also fail to mention that Christianity (as vague as that term really is) has historically been the world's longest reigning oppressive regime. Religious oppression tends to occur when you have a single dominant idealogy in power. That is why a secular society is essentially because all people of different beliefs to practice because none is above the other.

I live in the USA, we have yet to experience the persecution shown in the video here. I wonder if I will have the strength to stand when threatened with pain, torture, and even death when asked to renounce the Lord. We all say we will stand, but really, will we? Will you be able to stand?

In this time, it seems that God would have justified me killing my own neighbor simply because he sought spiritual enlightenment as a Hindu. It is the epitome of intolerance and totalitarianism to kill people for either what they believe, or what they disbelieve. That is capital punishment for thought-crime.

Its so true that the west take things for granted. We need to stop being lukewarm but boilling hot in our faith for God, for what he has done, does and still doing for us. [2nd part] ...christian and almost be beaten to death and still says he's a christian he passes the test and may go to heaven and eventually to New Jerusalem. people who deny fail, will still go to heaven but God will deny them there and they will eventually go to hell.
A decade ago American fundamentalists were on the warpath, attacking gays, abortion rights, the first amendment, and science education and vowing to use law and government to bring about their fantasy of a "Christian America." Well the worm has turned and after some political reversals, the fundamentalists are licking their wounds and feeling sorry for themselves.
In America we really have no real concept of persecution as a church. Not compared to many of the other nations of the Earth. May we remember the conditions of other less fortunate than ourselves and lift them up in prayer, in Jesus name.

Sobbing and weeping as I write this. So very hard to watch this video. But I forced myself to in their honor. I knew of the Orissa incident. A friend over at Myspace who lives in India told me about it at the time and enlisted my husband's and my prayer. So sad. The Father's heart weeps too I am sure. But I believe He also rejoices in His children's loyalty and courage. What an example to the rest of us.

However, you also fail to mention that Christianity (as vague as that term really is) has historically been the world's longest reigning oppressive regime. Religious oppression tends to occur when you have a single dominant idealogy in power. That is why a secular society is essentially because all people of different beliefs to practice because none is above the other.

The media in the west does not report these attacks enough...it is surpressed. Why is that? These scenes are very disturbing; heart rending. How any believer in Jesus can be unmoved by this is astounding.

You know, your right. The pharisees were afraid of him, and did perceive him as a threat because his followers were increasing, which threatened their authority or control over the jews. They wanted him dead because of this, afraid the people would revolt and follow Jesus instead.

It is frightening how little religious freedom and freedom from religion exists outside "the western world". Although I am an atheist I will always support these freedoms. People need not, nay, must not need to worry about their beliefs and disbeliefs, but only about their actions involving others. The world HATES us. I feel so ashamed. I have always been afraid of what people think of me. As a Christian living in America, my only fear of being a Christian has been dirty looks, at times, and the occasional name calling. Never have I feared being beaten or killed; and yet this fear of what others think of me has always been an obstacle in my walk with the Lord. To all of my brothers and sisters who have been beaten and killed for Jesus, I ask for your forgiveness.

As a Christian in America? Really? In one of the most ostentatiously religious developed nations in the world, with an 80%+ adherence to the faith? Bullpucky. Try being an atheist in America, like me. There is discrimination that can cost you a job, some states *still* having legislation barring any from office who "deny Almighty God."

We have it so easy. I just got a certificate to be a Assemblies of God Teacher and I can teach on the streets now and it kills me to actually get a look into Christian Persecution cause it is so wrong but for those doing the beatings it is so right. I pray everyday as I am in tears that God will shine light on those who do this. I believe we should live by the guy in the last video getting beaten but still he stood for Christ. That is what many Christians need to do. I am starting today

I have to agree with TdotClappa, we take so for granted what "freedoms" remaining we have. Yet Christians ARE being martyred in this time, in the west... Couple of 20-yr-old street preachers were shot to death by an unhappy listener. It was suppressed and never appeared in the mainstream.
Kill our bodies, but what shall they say unto HIM who holds the eternal souls in His almighty hands. Thanks for posting this!!! The hour is late people. NOBODY DIES FOR A LIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It truly disturbs me to see Christians treated like that but I am perplexed as to why some of the Christians who seemed like they could run away did not. Although the Bible tells Christians they cannot render violence for violence it does not tell them they cannot flee. If it does,I would like someone to point out to me where the Bible says to stay there and take it even if you can run away. Anyway,God bless our violently persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ.

In fact true Christians were always persecuted for their faith and for preaching their faith by the Catholics, Muslims, Hindus etc. Please find out about true biblical Christianity and what the bible believing Christians have done and are doing. Its so true that the west take things for granted. We need to stop being lukewarm but boilling hot in our faith for God, for what he has done, does and still doing for us. it's a hard world out there, filled with hate and anger. It's now, more than ever that people have to learn what it means to be christian. And as christians we also have to remember the joy promised in the message. True strength comes from holding on under immense pain. At times like these it can be hard to hold on to God, so it might be better to ask him to hold onto you.
Frightened people often hide behind anger, but they are still people and that is why we have to pray for them.

Dear God, I pray for those being persecuted for the name of Jesus Christ. I pray for the lost souls that hate us for His name's sake.
