@FoLuciousAnimus not pop. it was rock music with a melodic base. But marty's lead playing hasn't really changed, i mean looked at the old cacophony records and Dragon's Kiss. Marty has influenced metal in a lot of ways, and just because he doesn't play metal now doesn't make him a traitor. His departure from Megadeth was purely musical, he just got bored with metal.

well man I agree with you but when you play in a band you make sure to maintain the image of it...so when marty stayed at least 8 years at the band and created an image for megadeth he left and destroyed it...that's why he is a traitor for me

Marty actually left because he saw that what he was interested in wasn't good for the band, (After 'Risk' sales plummeted down the drain), therefore he left, and Megadeth went back to making honest, brutal metal. I love Marty with all my heart, but i just don't see Megadeth being the same 'Rust In Peace' brutality supergroup they were back in 92 with Marty remaining.
