I have the same camera too; do you think that the waterproof seal (that they say you need to have check/fixed every year) really needs to be checked that often? I wouldn't mind it if I actually had a place where I could readily get it checked (I bought mine on amazon, and I don't want to have to ship it somewhere and/or go thru all the hassle). And I'm sure that getting it checked over will cost money: after a while, that'll add up and be very annoying.
