No, EPs are not albums. EPs are shorter than albums, yet longer than singles, thus it meaning "extended play" in which having more songs than a typical single. Furthermore EPs are not identified as such by the number of songs they have, but mostly time-length. As a solid example; Underoath's first two albums only had around only 8 songs, but were long enough in time-length to be albums,
