  • Saw one of these at heathrow today

  • those winglets are HUGE!!!

    Looks beautifel!

  • haha now I love 737-800 and 767 winglet's :D:) ohh and the 777 also is sick bird ;)

  • I hope that LOT "Polish Airlines" will give them winglet's :) sick vid ;)

  • Woah! I just came accros this today unintentionally and its been a year since you made it! XD

  • Dyu think pilots have to re-train for the different specifications and flight Manouvreing of the 767 with winglets compared to before?

  • Well done- Thanks for posting !

  • Don't the winglets just make the 767 a much more interesting aircraft than they used to be? Let's see British Airways put some of these on their 767's now!

  • @TSBA92 BA are going to be getting rid of the 767 soon replacing it with the 787 so I think it may be unlikely they'll equip them with winglets. I agree with you though that the 767 looks much better with them than without.

  • @mcpcshowcaseHD The only thing regarding that is that BA isn't going to be receiving the first of their 787's until late 2012, and that's at the earliest. AA is also going to phase out their 767's once the first of their 787's is received in 2013 or so, which leads me to think BA has enough time to equip their long haul 767's

  • @mcpcshowcaseHD even if getting rid of 767s wouldnt it help re-sale value?

  • @mcpcshowcaseHD i saw on a website they have plans to winglet them!

  • @mcpcshowcaseHD and they would need new certification as its RR engines

  • The winglets on 767 look awful!!!!!!

  • What is winglet means? I'm not aviation expert. Apart from that, I swear American Airline have the most reflective exterior coat than other airlines.

  • @Guywhowearsunderwear Winglets are the upward points at the end of the wings. When a plane is flying, air at the top of the wing can bleed away causing the wing to lose some of its lift. As a result, the plane must operate at higher power levels to keep it at its cruise altitude etc. Winglets prevent a lot of this air leaking away, improving efficiency and extending range.

American Airlines don't paint their aircraft (except for lettering and stripes). They prefer a bare metal livery.

  • @mcpcshowcaseHD Nice to know that man. Just when I thought I knew about planes. Kudos on the info. Oh so American Airlines the only airline that kept it real then. You sure? Because some bare metals doesn't always have "mirror-like" finish

  • @Guywhowearsunderwear The founder of American Airlines hated painted liveries so their aircraft have always been bare metal apart from the stripes and lettering and tail art.

  • Damn the 767 winglets are huge! 5/5 AWESOME

  • 5 Star video!!! super high quality

  • i don't seem to like the winglets for some reason, it makes the big 767-300 look like a 737.

    they do suit it though.

  • for what are the winglets needed

  • they aid fuel economy.

  • wow that plane looked heavy! great video 5 *

  • is it just me or does it look more white in appearance (maybe its just the reflection of the clouds??)

  • It does look quite white.

  • i love 767 w/ winglets!

  • MrJaySaffa has lost the plot I think lol

I have to say the 767 is not my favourite but I do like the addition of the winglets.

Keep up the good work mcpc 5* as usual

  • It seems she is at MTOW or close to it.

  • Great footage

    5*

  • What the fuck since when did 767ns get winglets?!?!? Damn i'm falling behind on aviation.

  • i think i read somewhere that those winglets are 13 feet tall! And thats really huge! (about 3 meters)

  • @roxetterc747

They are pretty big. They may even be as big as 4 metres. I'm sure I read 4.

  • okay, maybe im wrong. But anyway 3 or 4 meters its huge! Great video bro, keep up the great work

  • @mcpcshowcaseHD

FlightGlobal says 11 feet so not quite but close enough

  • saw this one landing LHR last weekend (:

  • Awesome video. I think they should rename 767's with new winglets to "The 737-800MAX" and their slogan should be "Tired of the old 800? need more space? Try the our new fat 800, the 800MAX! YEAH!"

  • Not really.

  • Very nice! Those winglets are HUGE!!!

  • It seems to take off quite slowly. It lifts off quite shallow and then pulls up.

  • Great video. The 767 looks a bit more bearable with the winglets, but to me it still looks cumbersome and ungainly.

  • @aviationlover2000

Yeah, the A330/A340 look so much nicer IMHO.

Great video mcpc. Your channel is just getting better and better.
