  • When I listen to this I know how it feels to be in heaven..

  • this song makes me happy and sad at the same time, its weird.

  • Chopin.

  • I play Chopin, do I have to worry about the copywright police?

  • @judyknowsTALENT No, but you may have to worry about the grammar police.

  • from a to z.

  • I love it when one person plays Chopin, and he's "ripping him off" ! YET an orchestra of 140 people can play it and it's "a genius presentation". WTF ?

  • sounds like offenbach

  • There's no higher badassery.

  • This is the night Satan gave Jimmy Page back his soul.

  • 7 individuals have NO souls !

  • Guitar CRY

  • its amazing! i'm lovin it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 1 song. 1 incident. Robert Plant used some of Dixon's lyrics. They were judged close enough that payment and credit were ordered. You state that all 4 of their first albums are total "Milli Vanilli" rips. That's not even close to true. Besides, if you hate Zeppelin so damned much, why are you here? Do you just get off telling people they're idiots for enjoying what they enjoy? That's trolling 101. You're not enlightening anyone. And that is also a fact. No circles being talked by me. Not 1 word.

  • @Evster2012 of course its trolling, and your response just supported the whole act of trolling, these people are better just ignored. Cant really argue musical taste so clearly they just have no life and go on youtube to jerk off to people getting angry.

  • Oh, and valkour, When The Levee Breaks was credited to Memphis Minnie, Boogie With Stu to Ritchie Valens' mother. There's more. Have actually ever heard You Need Love (which, like many Muddy songs, was written by Willie Dixon)? You're sadly misinformed. The suit was over the lyrics, not the music. Plant sourced the lyrics. Not Page. Jake Holmes thanked LZ for doing Dazed and Confused, as it took his I'm Confused from total obscurity. Get a book. Wikipedia is making you look like a fool.

  • @Evster2012 RICHIE VALENS IS CREDITED ON LZ PHYSICAL GRAFFITI..

  • @nickfame3021 Actually the credit reads Mrs. Valens. I don't know why the all caps in your remark. It seems we're in agreement. :)

  • @Evster2012 i i guess was emphasizing how irritated and frustrated i was

    by this post argument...

  • @nickfame3021 No worries. I wasn't trying to flame you bro. It's all good. I just get my back up (and I don't by any means mean you) when people call Zeppelin thieves. Everything's been written, and it's all derived from something. There's nothing new under the sun, lol! 12 notes is a small vocabulary to work with! :)

  • "Out of the 1st 4 LP'S EVERY SONG WAS RIPPED EXCEPT FOR GOOD TIMES BAD TIMES!!!" That's a bold statement from someone calling people ignorant. LMAO!

  • This was Jimmy's return to performing after going down the heroin tunnel. Thank you Eric Clapton for dragging him out of the bag! Love the sweet sound of that B-Bender!

  • How many packs a day does he smoke?

  • Tabs please tabs !!!

  • @wojtasextreme find piano sheets and improvise. it's just upper melody line

  • Hey I have an idea... stop wasting your time with arguing on Youtube when you're obviously getting nowhere, and you're not even talking about the video anymore. Don't feed the trolls, people.

Pretty badass solo by Mr. Page, back in the good old days when rock guitarists were good enough to know who Chopin was.

  • I LOVE THIS! Jimmy drips honey from his fingertips once again!

  • It amazes me how he get a Les Paul sound out of that Tele

  • this is Opus 27 not 28

  • You know, the electric guitar is a very popular instrument but is so powerful... It's an incredible instrument.

  • MY SOUL!!!awesome!!!

  • F. Chopin now came out of his grave, bought a pack of cigarettes and telecaster

  • @MatijaJimiZabaKasaic Not only a telecaster but a brown one with a B-Bender.

  • @valkour22 Calm down man, if you prefer the original go listen to it. Jimmy Page has earnt well enough respect to play however the fuck he wants. chill.

  • @valkour22 STFU!!!

  • @valkour22 You're a complete idiot you realize that don't you?

  • @valkour22 If you -actually- knew anything about music you'd know that people have different tastes then you, now keep your mouth shut.

  • @valkour22 You're not too bright are you????...and apparently not a musician......

  • @TheArizonaMark I am a musician thats why I laugh at this attempt Page does here

  • @valkour22 yeah playing Bon Jovi and Blink 182...ANY knowledgeable and NON IGNORANT guitarist knows the truth....and you Justin Beaver fan...doesn't....and by the way...play the triangle doesn't make you a "musician"

  • @TheArizonaMark I listen to Shawn Lane , John McLaughlin ,Paco and some Django. Let me tell you Jimmy Page couldnt carry in of those guys guitar case !!!

  • @valkour22 I don't give a fuck what your IGNORANT non knowing about guitar ass listens to.....I guess Zep just sold HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of record because girls thought he was cute and they were a pop band played on the radio??..MORON......who THE FUCK is PACO??!?...get the FUCK out of here.....Paco!!!??? grow the fuck up and LEARN about guitar.....God I hate Hubris filled assholes like you thinking it's the masses who just don't get it...it's YOU who don't get it

  • @TheArizonaMark Paco De Lucia !! You just showed how stupid you are lolol. Zep sold records cause they stole their 1st 4 lp's off other artist. Guess u didnt know that either. Look up led zep plagerism or the show Howard Stern did on them. You dont even have a clue of what a true musician is !! You didnt even know who Paco De Lucia is, probably the greatest guitarist to ever touch the instrument with Shawn Lane. Dude u dont have a clue. Stupid artist for stupid people i guess.

  • @valkour22 is that your IGNORANT attempt to say Zep "stole" the blues from artist in the 1920's...what a idiot....tell ya what...when Pancho sells 250 million records...we'll talk...IDIOT......are really trying to say those guitarist can play heavy blues hard rock AND acoustic work...you know and I know...THEY DON'T...they play ONE style of music.....grow up......oh you get your Rock history from Howard Stern???...what a fucking MORON......keep making a fool out of yourself IDIOT

  • @TheArizonaMark its not an attempt look it up. Wait ur saying Shawn Lane cant play hard rock? You are an idiot, Shawn Lane is probably about a million times better than Jimmy. Shawn Lane could play any style or anything 1,000,000 times better than sloppy Page. Its stupid to mention the 2 in the same sentence, Paco De Lucia can play ANYTHING BETTER THAN PAGE!!! The man is a Doctor of the guitar you idiot. You think rock is harder to play than jazz, fusion ,classical or flamenco? Ur so dumb.

  • @valkour22 NEVER heard of him....that should tell ya SOMETHING, huh??..IDIOT

  • @TheArizonaMark cause u only know music that is spoon feed to you by the radio thats only concern is ratings. bet u heard of justin beiber which they also jam down the publics throat, Have u ever heard of Allan Holdsworth? probably not.

  • @valkour22 Of course I've heard of Allan he's one of Eddie Van Halen's favorite guitarist.secondly Oh Ignorant one....I've been a guitarist for over 30 years and have a ten month waiting list for lesson here in affluent Scottsdale,Az....spoon fed by radio huh Idiot????...got some news for ya...ZEP was NEVER played on the radio from about 1970 to the 80's..they refuse to shorten their songs and were deemed "too Heavy" they rose to the 4th largest selling act in History due to TALENT...schooled!

  • @TheArizonaMark ? You do know that Led zep released 45's? it wasent talent it was their plagerism. You dont have a clue do you. Your just plain ignorant to say zep was not on the radio from the 70's to 80's. That could be the most stupid thing anyone has said this week or maybe this year. they were not the 4th largest selling act either. ABBA Michael Jackson, Madonna, Elvis, The Beatles were all bigger. Peter Grant marketed Zep to dumb kids like u that suxx their rip off records up.

  • @valkour22... "sales of more than 300 million records, including 111.5 million certified units in the United States, making them one of the world's best-selling music artists of all time, as well as the second-best-selling band of all time in the US. They have had all of their original studio albums reach the top 10 of the Billboard album chart in the US, with six reaching the number one spot.".....I'm sorry??? Is Elvis and Madonna ROCK N FUCKING ROLL??...you stupid ignorant punk!????

  • @valkour22 ...."Rolling Stone magazine has described Led Zeppelin as "the heaviest band of all time","the biggest band of the '70s" and "unquestionably one of the most enduring bands in rock history".Similarly, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame described the band in the 1970s as being "as influential in that decade as The Beatles were in the prior one"......I hate fucking Punks like you who think it's THEY who have the ear and all the masses are just fools...IT'S YOU MORON WHO IS WRONG!

  • @valkour22 and one more thing you fucking ignorant Bitch.....now it's Peter Grant who marketed it....first it was Radio... until ya fucking got schooled THEY WEREN'T PLAYED ON THE RADIO FOR SHIT!.....the Beatles first two albums were almost entirely songs from just a few years earlier by American acts....I'm blocking you cause I'm embarrassed FOR you....you talk of Pedro I say Hendrix and Page...don't forget, huh IDIOT Hendrix ripped off all the old blues masters...you're such a fucking fool

  • @TheArizonaMark hendrix gave credit were Page didnt. Page put on his albums he wrote those songs. Out of the 1st 4 LP'S EVERY SONG WAS RIPPED EXCEPT FOR GOOD TIMES BAD TIMES!!! Your just a little fanboy that dosent have a clue. THE BEATLES ALSO GAVE CREDITS TO ORGINAL ARTIST. Page is a piece of crap that was a sloppy guitarist and thief. Every fact u present is wrong. I was around in the 70's and my sis too. Ur plain stupid to say zep wasent on the radio. Stairway was most requested song ever.

  • @TheArizonaMark Muddy Water's grandaughter sued them and won also Albert Kings grandaughter sued them and won. led zeppelin is not the heaviest band, think u are thinking of Black Sabbath Or deep purple there bud. And for anyone to compare zep with The Beatles shows they have not 1 clue about music. You believe magizines and what they tell u,you only know what ur told silly child. For ur info ELVIS WAS THE KING OF ROCK-N-ROLL !! HOW FREAKING DUMB ARE YOU ???

  • @valkour22 If you think Zeppelin were no-talents you need your head examined. And quoting blues standards is a tradition, not plagerism. Furthermore, they only lifted a few songs on their first couple of albums because they'd only been together a few weeks and needed to rush out product to promote the first tours. Songs: 85. Albums: 10. Singles: 10. Platinum sales: 75x in US alone. Get your facts straight son. And "wasent" is not a word. And it's "you're" for you are, not "your". School's out.

  • @Evster2012 It was ever song except Good Times Bad Times. He even stole Stairway . Page did not quot ,he stoled. He did not credit any of the artist that he took material from. Zep was sued by Muddy Water's grand daughter and won in a court of law. Willion Dixon's family also took zep to court and won. Seems the one's he stoled from were not happy with him and knew he was a thief. Court of law also agreed. Pge is about as orginal as Milli Vanilli. Sry ur a fanboy of a cover band.

  • @valkour22 You're funny! I suppose you looked at my MySpace or something? I know all about Muddy Waters and the lawsuits. You adressed nothing in my post, just more hate speech. That's called being a troll. I wouldn't be the least bit surprized if you're also the guy you were arguing with! Yeah, and I'm a 45 yr old "fanboy". I'm also a professional musician, a music historian and worked for Warner/Atlantic Records Merchandising Division. But hey, you were there in the 70 and so was "yur sis".

  • @Evster2012 So why was their law suits? And why did zep lose the law suits? you can talk in circles all u want, but the facts are the facts.

  • @valkour22 I'll tell you another fact . Noone here cares .

  • @valkour22 LED ZEPPELIN NEVER LOST A LAWSUIT IN COURT!!!!!!!

ALL SUITS WERE SETTLED OUT OF COURT ASSHOLE.

NO MATTER WHAT WIKIGOFUCKYOURSELF OR WHERE EVER

    INTERNET DATABASE IS CLAIMING

  • @valkour22 are a u a copyright attorney ? Or just some self -important moron who reads a wiki page and acts like its some revelation ? BIG FUCKING DEAL .

  • @Cincinnatus1869 na, i just know a fraud when I hear one unlike u.

  • @valkour22 ALL LAW SUITES WERE SETTLED OUT OF COURT.YOU DONT KNOW WHAT THE FUCK YOUR TALKING ABOUT.

ZEPPLIN GRACIOUSLY PAID WHAT WAS COMING TO ALL DESERVING

OF IT. IN FACT THE ORIGINAL ARTISTS VERSIONS OF ALL SONGS REWORKED BY ZEPPELIN.YES REWORKED!!! NEVER PAID ANY ROYALTIES..

COMPARING PAGE TO "MILLI YOUR MOTHER VINELLI" CLEARLY MAKES THE THE BIGGEST JOKE ON YOUTUBE.YOU RETARDED FUCKING IDIOT!!!!!!!

  • @valkour22 jimmy paige summoned chopin in a black magick ritual and asked his permission first... in fact he sometimes channels chopin's spirit, therefore it IS chopin playing half of the time. I would not expect a profane savage such as yourself to truly overstand... i forgive you for your ignorance.

  • @DoctorSess I forgive ur ignorance in believing Jimmy Page can summoned anything much less spirits of the dead. You believe in elves too?

  • @valkour22 i forgive you for your lacking sense of humor :-D

  • nobody know the name or the year of the concert? I want to see more!

  • @panchomiyamoto its in the description my man. A.R.M.S Concert 1983

  • I wonder who the 5 A-holes are that disliked this

  • It's sooo amazing....

  • It's soooooooooooooooo amazing

  • @juiceforjoe ? I'm betting most knew.

  • He is actually playing better here than knebworth 79,more relaxed and soulful.the solos at kneb just didnt connect well, like sick again for instance. Here he plays with control.

  • @juiceforjoe i bet they dont know who Chopin was...

  • i really like this and first time i heard it back in the 80s i thought it was very cool sounding.

  • tabs anyone...please please please, im begging for some accurate tabs for this

  • Pagey has the most unique style all his own and second to none

  • at the very end you can see eric clapton and his fender

  • Immortals playing immortal music

  • chyba matka cie na noc z pradu wylancza ze takie bzdury piszesz..takich jak ty to na madagaskar powinno sie wysylac...zal pisac z toba smieciu.

  • does he really have to bend every string? This was kindergarten level shit.

    I am disappoint.

  • @dasenase sometimes the simple shit is the right shit for the moment.

  • @dasenase

    Are you kidding me?

It's his style, look at his influences and then make a comment.

  • @dasenase Your English is worse than kindergarten level. It's friggin' wrong, dildor.

  • @mrbunghole

You sound upset. You're attacking my grammar, which was purposely written wrong,(I am dissapoint is an internet joke. Google it.) on a video about music.

It still doesn't change the fact that his skills in this video are average at best. He looks drunk, too.

  • @dasenase I'm not upset at all. I think Jimmy Page sounds awful here. Someone else said somewhere, When John Bonham died, Jimmy Page's creative spirit died with him. It's so true. It seems like his ability to play guitar died, too. Jimmy Page is probably 1st spot in favorite guitar players, too. Not because I think he's technically amazing or he's the fastest, because he's neither. He changed the music world. He changed sound and production. He made music heavier for everyone.

  • @mrbunghole he doesn't sound good here, agreed- this whole concert was bad for Page, though I disagree with you on the whole bonham-spirit-ability thing. Today he's still playing very, VERY well- and how can we know what this man's created and not released? :P RIP Bonham... RIP the original Led Zeppelin.

  • @Gilad11235 I SAW him play live with The Black Crowes and he just didn't have the same sound. I think he was playing very safe back then. He actually may be a little more accurate and technical now but I would rather have the no-holds-barred Jimmy Page of the 60s and 70s than what he does now. Last time I saw him with all those guitar players onstage (KirK Hammet, I don't remember who else Aerosmith maybe) He looked frazzled and wouldn't even take a solo. He's one of my heroes. but alas...

  • @mrbunghole oh I agree about that... none of the survivors from Led Zeppelin sound the same now. Not after Zeppelin :P of course I prefer how he sounded back then.... but one thing I heard of him, with Roy Harper sometime in the 80s, played "hangman" or something and he improvved on an acoustic; look it up. Sounds very good there, to my ears

  • @mrbunghole

everything is more planed beforehand.if you listen to some page plant performance , page still has ballwell page may played safely with the black crows, but you have to understand when jimmy was in zeppelin he was the only one who plays guitar on stage, he can play whatever he wants, while with the crows, there were another two guitarists playing with him, now thats totally another ball game.

  • @mrbunghole

with others playing with you , you just dont have the freedom to go whatever direction you want, otherwise it sounds messy.so s to play whatever comes to his mind at the moment, maybe not the same as in zeppelin, but he's still great player. the only problem to me is that he didnt write music that much after zeppelin.

  • @mrbunghole

sorry i need to post again.well page may played safely with the black crows, but you have to understand when jimmy was in zeppelin he was the only one who plays guitar on stage, he can play whatever he wants, while with the crows, there were another two guitarists playing with him.

  • I doubt anyone there was asking for a refund

  • one note at the time...

    a farse

  • @renatovcortereal Do you even know the prelude he's playing? It's 2 notes, C and B for the majority of the piece. This is a great vid, don't like it? Don't watch.

  • This is FUCKING BEATIFUL!!!!! Thank you Sir Jimmy Page.

  • I would love to see Page play Ballade No 1 in G; somewhere Frederick is smiling.

  • Awesome!

  • no petrucci , no gilbert , no satriani , nobody !! !! onli the god is JIMMY PAGE !!!!!!!

  • @MultiJonathan8 how DID god pack so much cool into one man?

  • I have never understood why more guitarists don't just cover classical tunes. It just works provided the guitar is in good hands. This song. Blackmore playing Bach or Beethoven, Beck playing Nessun Dorma & Greensleeves. It just works.

  • what an amazing performance it reminds me of since i've been loving you being played at the madison square garden in 1973

  • what an amazing performance it reminds me of since i've been loving you being played at the madison square garden in 1973

  • its just great

  • this guy is amazin thank fuck he kicked heroin, one clip around 83 with clapton etc he looked as messed up as john frusciante on his "break from da chillis" (thats a fucked up youtube clip that should be used to show kids-just say no) everyone needs IT MIGHT GET LOUD.

  • Now Page is a musician

  • so heart and soul..

  • Sgt. Yes mine is on vinyl too. I like his performance at the A.R.M.S concert. Have it on an old VHS tape. I wish he would do another soundtrack.

  • un genio interpretando a otro genio pues quien mas que jimmy page

  • Jimmy trying to be Jeff Beck. Sorry, but Jeff packs far more into this kind of playing.

  • @donepearce if jeff beck was so great. why did the yardbirds kick him out. and say sry jeff but jimmy is better

  • @dannyaudio because back then Page was better than Beck, loads better. Since then Page has continued playing the same old stuff, while Beck has taken the guitar to places nobody else even knew existed.

In this piece Page is attempting the Beck style and making an utter pig's ear of it.

  • @donepearce How does Page playing Chopin on a b-bender Tele have anything to do with Jeff Beck?

  • @mcadarette I'm sure you can work it out. Try hard.

  • @donepearce I'm not going to do your thinking for you. You made the (in my opinion, absurd) statement, so provide some insight.

  • @mcadarette I've done my thinking, thank you. You see the result in my first post. If you can't hear Page attempting Beck's style here - rather poorly - then no words from me can help you.

  • @donepearce Your first post says "Jimmy trying to sound like Jeff Beck". I'm still trying to find out, in what way? Because it's an instrumental? Beck has cornered the market on guitar instrumentals? Why would an established rock star suddenly decide to emulate someone? I'm not trying to be a smart ass - it's just that you make a pretty bold statement, and I still don't see one cogent point from you to back it up. I heard Eric Clapton hammer on a note once - is he trying to be Allan Holdsworth?

  • @donepearce It doesn't matter if he is or isn't doing it because of Beck. Musicians inspire each other all the time, in fact it's part of music evolution & it's been going on since ppl can play. Also since both came from the Yardbirds they're allowed to inspire each other. I don't see the point ur making, maybe u just wanna bash Page. I think Beck is totally over rated & boring anyways.

  • @donepearce ~ I find it interesting how you've only picked THIS particular song to grab your theory on him "copying Beck." Over all, both of them have different styles. Page plays differently than Beck, as Beck plays differently than Page. Let's not forget that they were part of Yardbirds and Honeydrippers. You need to grab, at least 50 songs of Page to re-enforce your theory. I am in no way attacking Beck, because he is one of my inspirations, he's a legend, but Page is a better guitar player.

  • @AntiLilWayneChannel This is Youtube. You don't make comments here on 50 tunes (not songs, thank you) - just this one. As well as playing guitar I teach it, and in my view Beck takes the guitar to places Page couldn't even dream of. Interestingly, Page appears to share my view.

  • @donepearce ~ lol, I never said to name 50 literally!

I have never taught guitar lessons in my life, but I have been playing for over 2 decades. Both Page and Beck, to name a few, were the ones who inspired me and get me to even play. I've also been highly inspired by Robert Johnson and Stevie Ray Vaughan.

Anyway, I won't sit here and discuss someone's opinion, we all have different opinions, just sit back and enjoy the lovely music.

  • @donepearce Sounds more like Roy Buchanan than Beck.

  • @dannyaudio Name your favourite & most popular Yardbird tracks & the majority will have Beck playing on them. Is the answer I would give you there.

  • this version is much better than the "death wish" soundtrack version. The soundtrack sucks

  • I love the Death Wish soundtrack it is a shame you can't buy it on CD anymore. I think a lot of Page fans would love to have it.

  • @flipper803 I have mine on vinyl. Can you even get that anymore?

  • He Kenny G:ified it. Horrible.

  • he is using a "b" bender tele

  • from death wish soundtrack

  • Jimmy can be as good as he wants to be !! He is very passionate about his guitar!

  • First I would like to thank nothingsalright for posting this.....I can die now.

and to terry2tone? You have taken the words right out of my mouth.....

p.s.- I know about the Peace concert in China on 10/10/10....has ANY one heard, yet, any confirmed info on Pagey's 2010 Tour

  • How did God pack that much cool into one man?

  • @terry2tone amen amen amen....!!!! ever since i saw the song remains the same, did know much about zep... and i said... i wanna be that skinny guy playing guitar... jeejje

  • Man, he's awesome...

The smoking stuff just ain't pretty to look at

  • he's the absolute master, and that telecaster is just gorgeous

  • botswana brown tele

  • he has good taste in music, and i suppose that's essential if you're going to be a legend, which he is

  • @paranoid711 sounds about right =) just think the right inspiration would be more accurate? ;p

  • Ahh, that black telecaster ^_^

  • I played this multiple times and never ceases to amaze me how beautiful this is.

  • good quality

  • Such a beautiful cry.
