  • Hermoso..

  • i love this!!!!! i wish to start a teen timbrels group in my church and i would love to do something super "move-y" like this!

  • This are the only group I've ever seen to come close to the choreography of Yorkshire division. They were awesome last time I saw them. Well done, Northern!

  • Great drill even with the music disabled. Now what was the name of the song.

  • i am the guy who choreographed the piece - its rhythm of life from the fosse musical sweet charity - hence the reason for the moves - lots were taken from the original piece

  • @nortyrobber I love this, so much praise for the Lord, so much energy for Him! I would love to do this in our church, do something different. Can I get a copy, please?

  • hey where do u get your tambourines from?

  • love it!am even more gutted that our summer school doesnt do trimbrels now!!

  • Thank God for the Army of the future!!!!

  • I'd never seen anything like these timbrels. Think they're great and wish we had a group like this in our corps. Keep up the good work. God bless

  • Amazing!Whether people on here deem it appropriate(a debate into which I do not wish to enter),you cannot fault the choreography or the enthusiasm shown.Think of the practice and rigour gone into it.And the vision for the choreography...These young people deserve praising, not only for their skill but also for being the type of people who will take a week out of their lives to learn more about how to praise God in different ways, and then to have the courage to do it.Bravo NMS timbrels.

  • i love it!

im in the timbrels in australia... so wish we did stuff like this!

  • i say that is awesome i go ti the salvation army and i go ti the north scotland music school and i do the timbrels there and u can do much better than we can but we do our best

  • Not sure about the dude at the front! If it is a dude!

  • I can confirm it was a dude. It was the guy who choreographed the routine

  • Indeed it was a dude. One of the best dudes you're ever likely to meet in fact!

  • I'll agree with you on that one mate

  • You've got to be joking - there's a pretty huge difference between nude pole dancing and a timbrel routine. If it was as bad as you're making out don't you think it would have been taken out of the programme? Get your head out of the sand - it's praising God, it's different and it's just plain good. Wise up.

  • In relation to the comment you posted...please in the future don't bother to make a comment on any of the videos I post. These videos are from a young peoples summer school and your encouragement would be much appreciated instead of critism like that. So in the future please don't waste your time like you have wasted mine by replying to your STUPID comment.

  • sorry, i lead a timbrel group at summer programs for young people also, i just dont think that drill was appropriate or good.

and i was stating my opinion, you didnt have to respond.

  • Truth is - you only wish you could have produced such a performance as this wonder. Theres no room for jealousy in the salvation army. Tut tut. And this is done for the Lord, maybe you should think of that before criticizing. Just check out the audience applause.

  • You thrust your pelvis for the Lord??? Seriously, take another look at around 40 seconds into the performance... not exactly appropriate for praising God.

  • Psalm 149:3 says 'Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with tambourine and harp.' (N.I.V). And this is exactly what these kids are doing, Praising the Lord. Yes it's different and modern, but that's what is needed to reach the people today. It doesn't matter what moves are made. As long as they are doing what they do with gladness and in praise and worship to God, then who are we to say what the Lord deems as acceptable or appropriate forms of worship to Him???

  • So if a stripper dances nude on a pole for the Lord, are we not to criticize then either? My point is that there's a line.. and thrusting your pelvis around "for daddy" in a church service is definitely passing that line.

  • True - but then i didnt see anyone thrusting their vagina's in someones face while the receiver threw money at them.

  • well done... very creative but they touched their timbrels so hard... congratulations to the men in the middle cuz, i think u need to be so brave to do that... god bless you

  • Well done! Great visual effect. Now this is what it's all about - bringing something that is as iconic as the Army Timbrel taking it out of the 20th century and into the 21st century. Choose a contemporary gospel music that is just as catchy as what you just performed to and do some amazing stuff with it. Go on! Continue to blaze a new trail!

  • Watching this video bring back all the good memories of NSS 06. Role on NSS 07!!!

  • I just can't get enough of this "drill". :)

    Thanks for posting it!
