  • hay do u know if bumble bee gobies can go with dwarf puffers

  • @MrGman0909 I have kept bbgs with 2 dwarf offers with no problem. However, with any puffer, it is down to the individual fish's temperament.

  • @MrGman0909

Bumblebee Gobies are brackish fish and dwarf puffers are pure freshwater.

  • my favorite puffer fish of all time=)

had one for a few years before it died of an ich infestation out of nowhere=(

  • Hey, can you help me? What do you feed your Gobies? I'm thinking of starting to raise Brine Shrimp to feed my fish. Would that work?

  • are the figure 8 puffers aggressive?

  • @mmercado316 yes they are. there are reports of them sometimesgetting along with other fish such as mollies and even their own kind, but usually they should be kept alone.

  • Never had problems with your BbGs and F8?

  • im gettin bored with normal tropical fish and was thinkin of gettin sum figure 8 puffer as i had these before and loved them but i was also thinkin of gettin bumblebee gobies to go with them like u. i was just wonderin wat u feed the bumblebee gobies?? thnx 5*

  • I feed the tank a mixture of shellfish for the puffer, and frozen bloodworm for the gobies.

Make sure to feed at the same time as you'll need the shellfish to distract the puffer from the gobies' food.

  • can i ask does your tank and ornaments go brown as mine does is this due to being a brackish tank many thanks

  • Not really. I have pond snails in there that eat a lot of the algae. Try turning your lights on less regularly.

  • Look at 0:05 you look up and he's just smiling at you. Lolz. Nice F8 Puffer looks very healthy.

  • how well do they all get along in a tank that size ? [ nice tank btw ]

  • They got on just fine! I got a bigger tanks now with a pair of kribensis too. Everyone is still happy :)

  • What a lovely tank...

I bought a Congo Puffer today...

Mind that puffer with those gobies...they arent really fast enough to escape it...

  • Archie is abnormally tame for a puffer. He's scared of everything! The gobies even pinch his food out of his mouth and he retreats :P

  • Where can I get a nice docile figure 8? I only ever see them online and fedex charges an arm and a leg for shipping.

  • Docile. Lol. Dont buy ANY type of puffer and expect them to be docile. Figure 8's can be kept with a number of other tank mates but they are still very agressive fish. You may wake up one day and he'll have the tank to himself if he so chooses.

  • I do suppose docile is the wrong word, lol. I've done a bit of research and decided if I want to keep my crabs a figure 8 isn't the way to go.. I'll likely get a dwarf to eat my snails. I guess I was trying to figure out where I could find a place that sells puffers that I could watch them and discern the temperament of the animal i pick rather than test my luck and let a pet shop in california choose for me

  • @getsmarter82 do you have any other fish in your tank?

  • @12fishguy yeah I have 5 neon tetras, a dragon goby, a dwarf gourami, and 2 glofish danios not to mention 4 very large actively breeding apple snails.

  • @12fishguy are they in the the one tank?

  • @getsmarter82 Jose is right. Puffers are not docile by nature. It's luck of the draw whether you get one that tolerates other fish or not. I think I just got lucky with mine, but it isn't out of the question that I'll wake up one day to an empty tank and a fat puffer :P

Bumblebee gobies are a good bet as a tank mate though. Their coloursare nature's way of saying "I'm poisonous - don't eat me" and this scares the puffer off. They're not poisonous at all though :)

  • I bet its not a congo puffer does it look like a club? like you can grab the tail then the bellis all fat and hes more brownish then green its a congo. You should make a vid

  • I promise you, it is a congo puffer... I will upload a vid very soon. She is called Ree-Ree, and even more bizarre (than her name lol) is the fact she is constantly active and swimming, generally near the top... She hardly ever buries.....
