linux is very simple...simple for people whose brain hasnt turned to mush trying to shorten down everything, i love windows 7 and fedora as well, fedora is great to use when getting technical, but windows 7 is good for me to use when im at uni (college) to connect to their network, but still i prefer linux over win 7 for day to day use
@asianboyJhC yes...that is why it has so little market share. a pc should be like a tv. do you turn on your tv, tune to a different sports channel and get gibberish like "flash not installed", then have a geek from the tv repair shop yell "duh! all you have to do is sudo apt-get blah blah blah, unless you are running debian, then its blah blah". What does that mean to a 65 y.o. grandma? Nothing but confusion.
Ubuntu is not COMPLETELY open source, some content in Ubuntu is considered "contaminated" by copyright material paid for by Canonical. Fedora is completely free and open and while this might not excite you, it has many followers. I started my Linux journey with Ubuntu, moved onto Yellow Dog but I will be using Fedora from now on. Bring on "Goddard".
you sound so absolute man when I everything is learned in this world, by the way I have dealt with IMG extensions with Daemon tools in the past, I just don't know why I couldn't open it now but I managed to get a copy of an old Ubuntu, the only reason I use Linux is to place orders online, ohter than that I think it's bullshit
Wow. You need help. Everyone is entitled to speak their own opinion. So, i expressed mine and you have no right to criticize me for that. If you disagree with me go eat your own balls(if u have any).
Listen ... Go to "System". Then go to "Administration" .THEN go to an option that search for what hardware your pc wear. Then the program finds you the properly drivers for the card (for nvidia you will find for sure , the nvidia loves linux systems ...) and you just enable it and maybe ask you to download some more drivers (you didn't search anything it downloading for himself) then you restart your pc and you are ready .OR go to nvidia site and download the drivers from there ...
Cuda drivers is the new latest drivers from nVidia for free based system like linux and other .... they are more realible than the xdriver and software . Also unlock more power of the graphic card AND they are do the graphics of linux 100% better thn the old . So install them than the old ones . ihope helped you , you can go to nVidia site to search more .
it has you just download the properly drivers and programs from nvidia site . Even a 8 years-old child could do that !!!!! And i knew that because i use the UBUNTU ,KUBUNTU,FENDORA for over 1 year (this xmas i close 2 years) .So don't say that for ANY linux-based system because any other OS is nothing in front of Linux (exept the Mac that they rock!!!)
this seems to be the same as ubuntu what do you think?

@WeThrowPie And that is why linux has less than 2% of the market share... because of the OS "veterans" lack of assistance to new comers...

if you don't know what an img is, you better stay away.
an img should be known to every user

For nvidia drivers check out rpmfusion(dot) org formerly Livna. Under the how to's it has instructions for nvidia drivers.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Fedora 12 sucks. It Doesn't even have 3d enabled for nvidia graphics nor is it possible to install nvidia drivers on it.

I got my nvidia propriety driver installed, so what you gonna do? Eat your graphic card?
