  • I really appreciate your video. My wife has been very cautious to get serious about carrying a weapon. For her this seems very foreign and a guy thing. I explained to her that no one ever plans to get robbed, raped or murdered and that MAYBE she has some chance of surviving an attack by taking this serious.

Seeing this from a woman's perspective.

    AGAIN, THANKS ! ! ! !

  • wished i watched this video 2 weeks ago. very helpful

  • I love the fact you carry a full size service pistol not some tiny pro conceal carry. You maam have earned my respect.

  • This video was AMAZING, I am so glad you decided to tape it, because the strategies/techniques you cover for conceal carry are soooo helpful! You should do more videos like this, "common everyday obstacles for conceal carry"! Love your channel!

  • why carry concealed when u can carry openly?

  • ur nice. you make me think good about americans

  • I always play with my weapon in the restroom

  • "accidental discharges" happen in the bathroom all the time

  • Okay, where's your torch and multitool? 3min, lol, I've got a solution for falling mags. Could you hand that back bud, thanks, I appreciate it. That is embarrassingly funny. Got that one fixed. lol, Know your bathrooms! Pay attention. And take the handicapped stall! They usually have mirrors, so you can check yourself. Paddle holster in the lap. DUDE That fold in has been done by me hundreds of times. And the 1750 mark too! lol, I'm glad you did this.

  • 1. undo belt and pants and hold with weak side hand.

    2. slightly lower pants and chones while still holding up pants with weak side hand.

    3. take out pistol with strong side hand and place in crotch of lowered pants so no one sees.

    4. while sitting, lower pants the rest of the way. if done correctly the gun will still be able to grab and use if need be, and still be hidden from view.

or just wear a shoulder holster.

  • I was using the restroom when some RUDE BLACK YOUTHS entered the restroom and was screaming WHITE BOY making statements like they might rush me while on the throne. Lets just say they were very lucky they remained on the other side of the door. I had weapon drawn waiting for them to do something. There are some very racists youths out there that have no clue what the hell they are doing when they make racial proclamations if anything happens it becomes a hate crime I should have recorded them.

  • Lima this is one of the best thought out videos I have ever come across and the only one I have seen on CCW and a public rest room. I had thought about doing one myself but no need now. You cover the subject front to back and top to bottom. On a scale of 1 to 10 and ten being the best I give you a 20. Thank you and Great job.

  • I wear in IWB holster...If I can get the wall stall, I simply move my pistol to a cross draw position which puts the firearm on the side opposite the stall. If I am not on the end stall, I simply move it to the small of the back position. Since it is IWB that hides the pistol between my leg (when pants are down, lol) pants and boxers. Still accessible if needed, but would require a true pervert to notice.

  • I'm playing to buy one, however I'd have it holstered under my arm not on my belt.

I might wait a while though just because, I craw under desks at work (computer repair/support) and currently goto college, I can't take the damn thing in there....

  • takes a 18 min vid to go to the bathroom?

  • GOOD VIDEO, YES, GOING POTTY IN PUBLIC FACILITY IS A PROB. CLUMSY WITH THAT BIG HEAVY GUN, AMMO, KNIFE 'RIG" SET-UP...YOU CHEATED WITH THE DEMO BECAUSE YOU REDUCED THE WEIGHT IN THE DEMO'.

HEY, ALSO, "DON'T" DROP (MURPHY'SLAW) THE GUN DOWN IN THE HOLDING TANK OF OUTDOOR TOILET. [MY GREATEST FEAR~ HA HA...I HATE POOP.] OH, YES, DO TAKE YOUR FIREARM WITH YOU WHEN YOU GO TO PUBLIC FACILITY,YOU ARE VERY, VERY VULNERABLE GOING POTTY, HALF NAKED.

    TKS GOOD VIDEO.

    RR

  • She never talked about what to do if the gun falls into the toilet.

  • @manny298 do you need to be told what to do if you somehow drop it in the toilette? did you plan on leaving it there?

  • awwww

  • Comment removed

  • You are SO DANG CUTE!

  • Sounds like she is talking about masturbating in a bathroom

  • thumbs up for the video, thumbs down for the exercise pants! j/k! :)

  • Ive always unholstered my weapon before droping the pants, then placing the weapon inside of my pants in the crotch area of the pants. Noone can see it there, or reach through and grab it. If you go to stand up and leave and you forgot you unholstered, it will be a cold reminder. :) it works. Or you can just hold it.

  • What about a shoulder holster, that seems like it would solve all these problems?

    or an ankle holster

  • @Ariodude

Ya shoulder holsters about solve the problem of utilizing the latrine but, in my own experiences they get cumbersome. You can't just throw a T-shirt over it and call it a day. About the only time I wear OTSH is when we go for a ride, but if you go inside a restaurant, that leather jacket gets hot and getting your gear off your shoulders with your jacket isn't as quick as you might think. I usually go to the latrine, lock the door, and slip it into an IWB. Then do it again when we go.

  • I am a male and I had some problems with flashing in the stall. My girlfriend taught me how to do "lady pants" as I call it. LOL. Instead of taking the pants to the ankles like I do, she taught me to take them down only to my knees this way it sits above the gap below the stall wall.

  • Lol! How bout don't have your firearm chambered? If you must have it chamberd how bout a single action with the hammer in the same position.. Also if you have a double action revolver be careful....

  • @lestat780 why on earth would you carry a firearm that didn't have a round in the chamber?

  • @AlaskanAssassin87 It only takes a split second to chamber a round... Plus that sound is a strong physiological deterrent to an attacker... Then there is always the fact that you will never accidentally shoot the shit out of yourself...

  • Umm, how about just taking the gun out of the holster and placing it in your pocket before you squat? Works for me!

  • The "Family" restroom.... I hadn't thought of that. Thank you.

  • The "Family" restroom.... I hadn't thought of that. Thank you.

  • i got to wonder why is it you left out the most important thing to consider when sitting on the bowl with pants down? ?.. ( Consideration # 4,- - Availability of one's firearm.!) for me that would have rated as #1.

  • Can u shake it like that with the Crossbreed Supertuck?

  • @MrBladeDude A KHolster is better. 1/2 the price. Quicker shipping. And no stupid religious crosses on the steel clips.

  • WoW! I thought i knew but i had no idea. Thanx for the knowledge. Great vid!

  • Awesome video !!!! Great topic. Something new.

  • You forgot to remind to "wipe & Flush"

  • I've been a male for 59 years now and perhaps a man for 18 or so of those. Thank you for telling how to use a urinal. Love ya ! And where were women like you when I was wife shoppin' ?

  • "WHO TOOK MY TOILET PAPER?"

    *BANG*

  • Excellent video! It may seem elementary, but it is important to talk about, especially for those who are new to CCW.

  • Thank god I'm a guy. I only poop in my own house and I pee whereever I may roam.

  • @eastofakron2

Nothing like dropping a duce on your own throne, right?!

  • this is more like a CPL bathroom certification. I never actually sit on a public toilet. so I am a little more unstable But

good tips. A little wordy though.

I prefer the element of surprise that is why I take concealment so seriously.

  • this is more like a CPL bathroom certification. I just want to avoid clanking the toilet. we women have to always drop trou and do the "hover" It's a balancing act.I have had to hold my belt with my teeth so the weight of the gun doesn't drop my pants to the nasty floor and be visible under the privacy walls. My holster is fine.

  • i never take a shit in public. dont want herpes

  • @MOLRobocop the person who said Glocks have no safeties is an airsoft user. Probably don't have too good of a Glock replica and have no knowledge a a real firearm

  • Thats why i hate glocks NO SAFETYS!

  • @airsoftloverusp Glocks have three safeties. It is simply impossible to make one discharge without pulling the trigger.

  • @jmk1a1 No disrespect man, but if i walk into a bank with the intensions of robbing it, who am i gonna shoot first? I dont want any bad guys knowin i have a gun because it makes me a target for lethal actions against me. I rather have the element of surpise against them.

  • I don't really understand this all-out obsession with concealing. Don't get me wrong, I have a CCW permit and I occasionally carry as such, but why hide what you constitutionally have the right to do, furthering the general population's fright when seeing the average person with a gun on their hip?

If you want to stop losing your rights, then stop hiding them under your shirt or inside your pants. The only view most people have of guns is that only criminals and cops carry them... change that.

  • @jmk1a1 Because friend some of us live in places where printing or being made will get us tossed in jail or get us our license revoked. I live in an open carry state that also issues concealed carry, so I do both from time to time, however, I recognize there are some states that don't allow that. The only thing people in those states can do is go to their statehouse to reclaim their rights through the legislative process, they can't just break the law.

  • Awesome video!

  • U forgot to mention holsters with straps that go over the guns grip those are the best way to prevent drop

  • in order to fully open the bomb bay doors, my legs must be open. Keeping the pants up kind of presents a problem in that case. :)

  • ROFL fail cop. Good video.

  • If I dropped a gun on a public bathroom floor I would have to throw it out

  • @awhislyle Okay. That's the most ridiculous thing I've heard in at least 24 hours (because I hear/read a lot of ridiculous things). Ever hear of Germ-X?

  • @limalife Have YOU ever seen the floor in a public mens' restroom?

  • @limalife ever heard heard of sense of humor?

  • @awhislyle Every firearm you drop i'll take it off your hands.

  • dont chamber the gun period....video over

  • @Vthesurety1 Watch my "Should You Carry a Round in the Chamber" video. Your choice but I prefer to have a ready firearm.

  • @Vthesurety1 Go ahead an carry without a round chambered if you dare. If you have to act quickly, you could be hurt or dead before you got a shot off. My Ruger P95 has a slide safety/decocker, so I am able to carry with a round chambered and the safety off without a safety issue. I chamber a round with the safety on, so the hammer doesn't stay cocked, then I holster the weapon and flick the thumb safety off. It's a DA/SA pistol, so the first pull is double action.

  • Outstanding video! This is an easily overlooked topic that I honestly never thought of when I started carrying. I remember walking up to a urinal and unbuckling my belt like normal and almost losing my pistol. I learned to just use the fly like you suggested. I was using a cheap nylon IWB holster at the time. I would also take the holster off my belt and put it in the seat of my pants while in a stall to avoid dropping/being seen. Great suggestions here. Thanks again!

  • Yikes, is that a G21? I don't doubt that you can handle it, but that's a bulky gun to carry.

  • @justingeist G19

  • where do you get all the dummy pistols, i have been experimenting making my own kydex gear and would like to make some for fam and friends, without saying, hey i need to borrow your pistol for a day. I need a sw 39-2 and a glock 27 and a sw airwgt revolver. thanks for the vids

  • @jwgbmp40 Just do a google search for "dummy gun" or "blue gun" or "trainer gun" and hit the "shopping" button.. you'll find more than you could look at for a lifetime.

  • And you just spent so much time talking about people peeking at me in the bathroom that I'm going to be paranoid about going in public at all now, carrying or not, lol.

Seriously though, another good vid and practical advice on an often overlooked subject. Thank you.

  • Lol. I just can't stop imagining what the first thought would be of someone who's halfway through their 'business' when their gun discharges in the middle of acting out scenes from Scarface on the porcelain throne at the Wal-Mart.

  • Great, thanks Limalife. Now I have another reason to expect my wife to spend three hours in the bathroom!

  • at 17:00, and 18:00 those were really good ideas.

  • I have had the same question. I have been afraid of taking my out of top pocket, but was afraid that I would accidently forget and leave it behind. Great video topic. Glad I was introduced to your channel.

  • good job...you could have had quiet a few bloopers with this topic. well done.

  • Good Video, Keep up the Good Work!

  • Dumb ass plaxico burress shot himself by trying to catch his gun as it slid down his leg.

  • @gabe562 who carries a chambered glock with out a holster besides a fool

  • Thanks for posting this! I actually just had an instance were a dad brought his little boy into the stall with him. The boy was apparently excited to be there and popped his head under the stall, looked right down at my holstered pistol (thankfully didnt recognize what it was) looked up at me, smiled, and went away. I learned a valuable lesson and now take much greater care in the restrooms. I also never use urinals, as I feel it leaves you quite vulnerable, especially if someone somehow reco

  • @thomascb6229 Unfortunately my son is THAT BOY but he WOULD know what it was and probably be like, "Mommy! A GLOCK!" But no carrier has anything to worry from me. If I found out someone was carrying (provided they aren't threatening me or anyone else) you'll get nothing more than a smile from me.

  • Common sense is not common its learned, thanks for the great vid. I like to hold the gun in my hand with finger on trigger pointed at the door safety off. although this did cause a full auto burst once while pushing to hard. Doing paper work is also a problem while holding the gun. When you have your pants down is when you are most likely to be attacked, so act acordinly. If you use a duty belt you can take it off snap the bukle and put it over your sholder. Again thanks for the hard work

  • Great vid!! I think you did a great job covering an important topic. Well done!!!

  • Wow how thought provoking. I have to show this to my girlfriend, and my wife. Well maybe not the wife... *BATA BING BATA BOOM*

  • Don't play with your gun while you are going to the bathroom.

  • Folding the holstered gun inside the pants while still attached to the belt is something that I do and it works great. It keeps it out of view while still staying on your body

  • Great video!!! It is a point that I have never seen or heard about, but we all go to the bathroom. I guess us guys kinda have it easy most of the time when going to the bathroom... But we all have to think about the points you explained because nature can call at any time.. lol Awesome video as always!!

  • Outstanding vidoes I still have to thankyou for turning me on to nate (UBG holsters) I have had mine going on three years now and it still looks new.

  • @IrishPuglover3565 Glad it worked out for you.

  • I always use a stall when I have to use a public rest room. Don't have to worry about someone seeing my firearm at the urinals. I never had a problem with a gun dropping out of it's holster I used my UBG holster and my blade-tech holsters. You just have to remember to let your pants down slowly and not to just drop them. Outs

  • Saying "OWB/IWB" is just as many syllables as "inside the waistband/outside the wasteband". :-P Just messing! but its true!

In all seriousness, you are the most knowledgable and straight headed female on youtube, when it comes to firearms. I have I think 5 subscriptions and you are one. Haha not that my opinion is highly sought after, but you must be doing something right!

  • @FLATblacktical Thank you.. I appreciate it.

  • I enjoyed the little story about the police officer's negligent discharge. Your videos are great!

  • Stated that many discharges he followed up on occurred when ppl were bored and started playing with their gun

  • @Solidgun That doesn't surprise me in the least.

  • @Solidgun is that a uthamisum?

  • I remember reading an article on this and the author of that used several examples. His examples staed

  • Bravo!

  • LOL. This is awesome! I just started carrying about a month ago and *yesterday* I started searching online for information about tips on carrying + public restrooms.

I haven't even watched your video yet. I was watching your comp-tac ctac review, as I'm thinking of getting one. So I decided to check out your latest videos, and this was the latest one!

You are so awesome! I can't wait to watch this :) Thanks for all of your great videos!

  • you know...after all these years i think it's time you invest in a quailty mic of some sort.

  • Although the topic appears to be a little bit specific, this video is one of Limatunes very best. Thanks to the analytical approach and Limatunes clear and direct language this video is great fun to watch. One of Limatunes favored stylistic devices is listing, anticipation of all contingencies is one of her most remarkable skills. Besides, Limatunes performs with a well-modulated and stimulating voice. Absolutely worth watching!

  • @juliamueller1991

Thank you for that kind analysis. I appreciate it.

  • @juliamueller1991 It's not just that....I think that what Lima is doing is great! My girlfriend is your biggest fan! It's great to hear some good advice/tips coming from a sensible female. Sure there are great reviewers out there (i.e. nutnfancy, hickock45, etc,) but Lima, I think you're doing a great job! Keep it up. Your topics are not only thought provoking, but also apply to everyone, from men to women, to mothers, to....well...EVERYONE who carries. Hats off to you!

  • Great video, and I love your Breakfast nook!

  • Man, you guys are really feeding the trolls, eh?

  • All cities and towns in MA will issue a LTC if you are qualified to posses one. I live in MA so I know and I have a LTC.

  • well thought out video. I have been watching your videos for a long time now and you never fail to deliver quality videos with well thought out and presented topics. If only there were more of you! Keep up the great work.

  • Looks like Jambi's still at it. Kids a troll, let him think what he wants. Just like in his personal life, no one on here gives a shit what he thinks too.

    Stay small kid.

  • This is well thought out and didactic approaches for what my anthropology professor called a "more" eliminates confusion and gets to the heart of the matter. One rule of carry is you have to think thinks through in advance such as raising your arm on non dominant side to get something off the shelf to keep your vest from rising to expose carry on the waist.

  • It might have been a little less awkward if your husband did the part about the urinals.

  • As a lady I carry a S&W jframe and use the supertuck IWB- I unholster, put it in my purse while the purse hangs from the back of the door then reholster before leaving the stall. Maybe that's wrong but it works for me. No risk of falling out of holster, keep the finger off the trigger and it won't go off :)

  • And thanks for making a video on a unpopular subject. I really enjoy your videos and find them very informative...

  • very informative as always. even more reason for me to get a chest rig :)

  • ok, I know I ll get criticized for this. But when I need to use a public restroom, the first thing I do is. I remove my firearm, and put it under my left arm, with the muzzle pointed down. If I need my hands free, I place the firearm in my pants, as Ms. Limalife suggests. My CCW instructor suggested that too. I want to keep the gun undetected and safe. But I also want the gun where I can still use it, You would be surprised what can happen in a isolated rest area in the middle of the night.

  • Ok, this is truly funny, but also a learning experience. I had your vid open about to watch when I went to the office restroom myself. I didn't drop or discharge(the gun), but I like to inspect the gun while sitting there. When removing the round from the chamber I proceeded to drop the hollow point into the very dirty toilet. I couldn't just flush it! Thankfully all went well after scrubbing all the yuck off. Needless to say I should have watched your vid before going!

  • Lima you make the best videos.

  • Great video, limalife! Good information to be sharing because you're right - a lot of people scoff at it, but I had to figure this all out the hard way and it's quite a learning experience. Those of you watching this video, take heed and listen to her tips!

  • I like the folding it into the inside trick but what if you are in the stall next to a Senator with a wide stance and his foot "accidently" bumps your own and your firearm falls to the ground, should you wait until he retracts his foot before grabbing your gun?

  • the only thing thats happening in restrooms is people getting bored because they dont have a magazine so they start fiddling with their gun. i dont understand how you can discharge you gun if you dont touch it in the restroom. people who are setting off their gun in the restroom dont deserve a gun or the right to use a public restroom

  • I've had to instruct many people on how to do this. A lot of questions and techniques about it. Thanks for doing the video limalife.

  • Thank you.

  • This video was awkward. Much needed, but awkward. Should I feel violated?

  • When I first started CC I had this very topic happen to me. I was carrying a kel tec in a cheapo one size fits all IWB holster. I loosened my belt the gun was top heavy and flipped out, dropped about 3 feet and hit the tile with a thud, barrel up and looking right at me. The fall knocked a dent in the back of the slide. I thought I was being careful, and it was something that I never thought about until it happened. Moral of the story, get good gear, be careful, pay attention.

  • There are no accidental discharges in the bathroom...sorry.

  • 01:13 looks like someone has been sipping on some Captain. Great video.

  • Great video! I haven't thought of this issue.

Just curious, what model/caliber of Glock are you now carrying? I thought you were a devout 1911 fan.

  • Touchie and uncommon subject handled very sensibly. Thank you.

  • Good video. Very professional.Very Helpful.

  • I never let my pants touch the floor. People miss the toilet when relieving themselves or with the used paper. There's cooties down there......

  • Great video on a seldom discussed subject. I agree entirely about having high quality gear. That goes a long way, in all circumstances, to improving retention and maintaining concealment.

  • Your Vids are always great

    Although

Your shaking test is only accurate when the mag is loaded The ammo weight makes a differents

@ acotton3901 nail on the head

  • @limalife Do you use a custom gun belt or just a regular department store belt?

  • In response to the 10-11 min section: there *is* always the corrupt prosecutor, judge, etc....

Those "brandishing" laws are problematic for people on bicycles and motorbikes...I'd be wearing something other than a rear-mounted IWB holster when riding. It may mean you have to carry a lower-capacity and/or lower-caliber piece to be *legally* concealed. Unless you're wearing a long-enough vest or jacket to conceal your rear waist even when bent forward *waits for the obvious joke*

  • that was certainly well thought out

  • @jambi880 Except those who want to defend themselves from those who might threaten their life. (Which, of course, doesn't happen to anyone every 13 seconds every day in America.,)

  • Excellent message. Even though this is part of the training for law enforcement, it seems like every so often you hear about someone putting a bullet into the bathroom ceiling at some police station somewhere. And most concealment holsters don't have the retention of a duty holster.

  • @jambi880, you have the right to choose not to carry a gun. But you don't have the right to tell anyone else they can't legally carry one. Rights are a two way street.

  • @massltca I never said anything about rights at all. I didn't tell anyone that they can't carry a gun legally. I just said you don't need to carry one every day.

  • @jambi880, that's not for you to decide either, crime can happen anywhere at anytime, therefore some people choose to carry everyday. It is up to the individual to decide what fits their specific situation.

  • @massltca rights dont exist, they're man made, they're a nice idea but unfortunately....like jesus we made them up....awww whats the matter, truth hurts

  • @Vthesurety1, sure they do, but it requires some effort to make sure they are respected :)

  • @jambi880 maybe no one needs to have a right to speech? or due process?

  • @jambi880 you are a troll, don't watch gun videos if you don't want to / like to / believe in carrying a gun

  • @acotton3901 I'm not a troll. I like guns. I wish I could own one in the UK. I just don't think you need to carry one every day.

  • @jambi880 Yeah....Because crime only happens on mondays. Kinda makes it pointless to carry once a week.

  • @Justins1877 I never claimed that you should only carry one on certain days. I said I don't think you need to carry one at all. So your attempt at sarcasm was totally wasted.

  • @jambi880 @jambi880 You claim you enjoy guns, but tell others "You don't need to carry one" That's up to you to decide for yourself, not for you to decide for others. Attitudes like yours Mr. Jambi is exactly you're unable to carry, and/or own a pistol or semiautomatic.

I'm Canadian, and will never let my rights erode like you and like minded individuals have in the past. Thanks.

  • @Justins1877 Fuck off.

  • @jambi880 Well spoken. We can really tell you're an intelligent individual. Cheers man.

  • @jambi880 You must be able to see into the future, which day you will get assaulted (possibly with a fire extinguisher) is probably the day you want to carry the gun right?

As for us law-abiding citizens that can't see into the future, we carry everyday, because criminal don't give 2 cents about your life and well being.

  • @jambi880

    Why not?

  • @smartbomb33 Why not what?

  • @smartbomb33 Now I'm saying "FUCK OFF"

  • @jambi880

Good response cement head. What are you? 8?

Go set your mom's pussy on fire.

  • @jambi880 And no one needs to commit crimes against person or property either, but they do.

  • @jambi880 So you know for a fact that no one is ever going to mugged, raped or otherwise have their life threatened, ever again, and therefore "No one needs to carry a gun"

  • @jambi880 Only in a Utopian world would no one need to carry a gun (or other form of self defense). As to why a person should make it a habit to carry "every" day. The same reason you see fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, fire resistant building materials "every" day. It isn't that every building will burn down every day, but it is that level of prevention that says, "It is better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it." The day you decide to leave the house unarmed...

  • @FecundChance Look, I just tried to voice my opinion, and everyone jumped on top of me for it. Fire extunguishers don't kill people, so that's not relevant. Guns are illegal in the UK, so I couldn't carry one if I wanted to, and that's why I don't think anyone actually needs one. The rate of gun crime in the US is higher than anywhere in the world, and that's because basically anyone can have one. That's my view on the whole thing. I don't deserve abuse from score's of people for my opinion.

  • @jambi880 Also, anyone who needs advide on how to use the toilet while carrying a gun, is too stupid to have a gun in the first place.

  • @jambi880 I understand what you are saying, but placing a comment like you did here would be tantamount to trying to start a fight with a knife at an NRA convention. Wisdom would say it would be far more welcome on a pacifist's channel. Fire extinguishers "save" people, so do guns. Very relevant. The U.S. comes in at 8th place in crimes involving firearms. And Switzerland, which has the highest per capita ownership of firearms has one of the lowest crime rates in the world.

  • @FecundChance Yeah well racists can go post white power comments on Nazi channels, but there's no point. Guns don't save lives, they end them.

  • @jambi880 People like you need your governments to make your choices for you. Obvously you're too stupid to make them for yourself. Remember, when you phone the police, you're essentially just calling someone with a gun to save you. Hypocrite.

Isn't it your curfew now comrade?
