I love Jamie Babbit. I'm so glad she's there cause I feel like she is talking for me. Anyway, homosexuality is natural it does occur in many species of animals specially in birds, apes, and felines. If it continues to occur in nature in so many unrelated species there has to be a biological reason for it. I believe we are the choosen ones (yes that is joke).

Me too! It was the first movie I ever saw with a gay theme and being 14 at the time I tought it was awesome. Unlike the other movies I would later see that were a bit depressing, this movie made me smile.

Yeah, I LOVE films like 'High Art' and 'Heavenly Creatures' and 'All Over Me', but they're very depressing films. 'But I'm a Cheerleader' is fun and uplifting, which is rare for a gay movie.

Not entirely correct. Homosexuality occurs in animals in which all the males mate with the females, not just the one 'alpha' male. Although, often when it's male on male it's really about establishing dominance as opposed to sex. Then again; maybe that's not true. Animals can't exactly fill out questionnaires regarding why they have sex lol.

Hey Maher, know why homosexuality occurs among animals? Because there is one male who mates with all the females. the young bucks (deer) practice it... but rest assured that when one of them becomes the strongest and the leader... he will mate just with females. Got it?
