  • thanks so much for this video, it really helped me understand Kroger mega events. My only couponing store in my town is Kroger, which isn't a great store but now that I'm figuring out the mega events I think I can do a lot more with it!

  • Jenny, thanks for the tips on shopping at Kroger. I'm a Midwest Kroger shopper but everything applies up here as well.

  • Great, simple explanation to using coupons. Thanks!!

  • Awesome thank you!!!

  • Don't know who taught you how to shop, but you're really great at it so thanks for sharing. I will try to apply these principles to my stores since the nearest Kroger for me is an hour away, but I love the bag tip and how you rolled transactions for more savings.

  • A+++++ super info

  • Thanks you so much you I have to be more dicipline in that...

  • the bagging idea is AWESOME!(can't believe that never crossed my mind) I have counted and recounted dozens of times on countless trips(ocd) lol!! I love your website as well, keep up the good work and happy shopping.

  • Question: what if I have a coupon that says $1.00 off 2 items and then there is a store sale for buy one get one free of this same product...This is for Kroger.

  • Krogers in the Houston area no longer double or triple coupons. :(

  • These are great tips! Thanks for sharing

  • Hi, I know this vid is old, but I had one question. I am in TN and was wondering about Kroger's policy. If I buy an item for $.50 and have a ? off coupon, will that coupon still double making the overage pay for items I don't have a coupon for? Also, will they allow you to use 10 coupons for each mega item, giving you a $5 credit (or overage) usable in that transaction?

  • Thank you so much. I live in the MidWest and plan to start couponing within the next month or so, and Kroger is my go-to store. I plan to use the tips you gave. Keep up the great work, you have no idea how much we all appreciate it.

  • only this is you have to flip through coupons while your there because there are many many unadvertised deals....... 10 for 10s all the time that you have no idea about and alot of times if i flip through while shopping i am finding many things i get for free! but yes the deals you know your gonna get PULL THOSE COUPONS!!! It is a major time saver!

  • I don't think the catalina coupons work that way. I work at Kroger, and if you buy a product with that 'catalina coupon deal' It usually means that when you buy that product, a coupon will print off at that time that says save, 2$, 3$ 5$ or however much that deal is for on your NEXT shopping trip. You don't get that off right away. It's still an awesome coupon though. You just can't use that until your next visit to Kroger.

  • I'm a deli manager @ a Kroger in Virginia, just starting this couponing fun, thanks for taking the time :)Great information with non-confusing info .

  • In the area of electronic coupons, there is a rule on electronic coupons not being able to be combined with printed coupons...What can be done in that situation in order to make sure you're getting the best deal?

  • i would have liked to see you check out.

  • I loved this demo! Thank you soooo much! I thought I could write this info, but I learned things! yes!!!

  • I shop at Kroger a lot, great video to discuss practices at Kroger. The mega events are awesome just today I got $4 boxes of cereal for ~1.80 a box before any coupons, so I have 12 boxes of cereal now. The biggest thing to watch for at Kroger is yes they rotate things on sale like on the 10/10, but not every 10/10 is a good deal, they put a lot of products that are worth less than a dollar on the 10/10 "deal" because people buy it more thinking its a sale deal lol.

  • also important to note with krogers e-coupons... scan your keytag last. if your cashierdoesn't scan your paper coupon for an item you have beforehand, the e-coupon will be used and you can't use the paper one. (tip from a cashier i spoke with today)

  • At Harris Teeter, you dont have to buy ten if its 10 for $10, A big bit of advice is check with the store your shopping at to see if you have to buy ten or if it price was just lowed to $1 temporarily. Remember to look for "must buy 10" to see if you really need to buy ten.

  • I was told at my local Kroger store that they didn't have a coupon policy. It was at there disgression. Now how am I suppost to figure out the do's and don'ts

  • I checked the website for my local Kroger and there is NO COUPON POLICY to be found. Check the sale paper....NO COUPON POLICY. So went into the store and the have NO COUPON POLICY. They said it was at their descrection. So how are you suppost to figure it out without a printed coupon policy?

  • We don't have a Kroger where I live...dammit!

  • You are AWESOME! Thank you so much for all your help and great advice!

  • Wow. Thanks. As someone else stated, I too have lost time, counting and recounting. The bagging idea is good and I will be using that. I also didn't know what the catalina was; I thought it was the 'blinkies.' Lastly, I discovered accidentally, the closeouts. Just happen to have some coupons on those items recently and made out like a bandit!!! Thank you so much for your help.

  • can someone explain coupon doubling? what is that?

  • This is so helpful!! Thank you so much for posting it!

  • Love her advice! Smart idea to bag the products for to check out. I usually end up counting and recounting. I love southern savers!!! Jenny has saved me lots of money and I owe her a biigg thanks!

  • That's exactly how I do it (number to buy written on my list, and coupons already pulled). Good idea about the reusable shopping bags for the mega events

  • Thank you Jenny! I am an avid Kroger shopper but the Mega Events have left me losing track and having to re-count my item which is a huge time waster, as well as a stressor I don't need. I was using a separate cart but I LOVE the re-usable shopping bag idea. That works! No more worrying about whether or not I have miscounted my items and losing out on savings.

  • I'm trying to shop and save with coupons but its hard. I shop at Bi Lo. I can't seem to get a grocery bill under a $100.

  • this video was very helpful because i am very new to this 2 mos in and I love it

  • In memphis it is up to and including $0.60

  • I need to be more disciplined at knowing how much I am going to buy of an item so I am not checking my coupons in the store... I waste so much time double checking coupons. I know to write down how much I plan to buy but I don't always write it down... or worse yet I don't plan how many coupons I am going to use (and how many i will be getting).

  • This is very helpful, thank you for all the work you put into your website and informational video's!
