I remember Jasper Carrott did a fantastic paradoy of this advert in which he played the guy selling newspapers. Carrott changed the end of the advert so you got to see the newspaper guy's annoyed face when Mr Cardcash guy walks up, first thing on a Sunday morning to buy a newspaper and offers to pay with a £10 note. Brilliant.
Everyone thought this ad was really cool in the 80's, if you were 12 or over you imagined that you'd have a cool converted warehouse pad like this guy when you left home. This was the height of 80's yuppie culture when it was super trendy to have a converted warehouse near the docks. I did worry about that cat falling out the window though, lol.
