I'm mostly self taught. I did an 8 week course at the Napoleon Perdis Academy, but I felt I didn't really learn anything new.

I used to model/act and do makeup in my late teens and up to about 20. A lot of my learning has been trial and error, and troubleshooting my makeup, figuring out a solution to a problem.

Yep, you don't have to use Mac. You're going for eyeshadow colours, not brands. In this I use a neutral beige/sand colour on the eyelid, and a warm reddy brown eyeshadow on the crease. Look for those sorts of colours.

when applying eyeliner should i stretch(pull my eyelid) as i apply it or it doesn't matter?

A lot of people do this. You can gently pull the eye, I pull the eye up from the peak of the eyebrow.

I think it's better, in my opinion, to learn to apply eyeliner with your eyes open. That way you can see what you are doing. I feel that when you pull your eye out, it's a bit of a surprise what your eyeliner is going to look like. If you keep your eye open you can see how it will look. Does that make sense?

Check out my "Natural and Glamorous Prom and Formal Makeup" vid. IT's a great simple look, that will look gorgeous in photos too. This look is a little more casual. I mean, you could definitely go with either, but my suggestion is the prom vid.

I apply false eyelashes before mascara and then apply mascara to the falsies to blend your natural lashline with the falsies. You'll see in the vid!

Guys say that they like simple,

but I read a Seventeen magazine article where they did a study and asked all these guys to pick between girls in pictures who had different ammounts of makeup on, and the guys chose the girl with the most makeup on, though the other girls were wearing darker muted colors!

There's a difference between a guy looking at pics of girls, and the girl they date and hug and kiss. I know from endless debates with guys, and from my own experience, guys might turn their heads to the girls with lots of makeup, but when it comes to cuddling a girl, they want simple.

Eg. smokey eyes may be hot on that first date, but when it comes to second and third dates, they want more toned down. A girl who can be natural, shows confidence and therefore sexiness.

A lot of people pull their eye like that. I think what is best is to look down into a mirror, so either tilt your head back, or hold a mirror just out from your chin and look down and draw along the lashline. That way you can see what you're doing. And take it slow!!! Draw a little at a time!

Yellow concealer is good for covering any sort of blueish/purpley areas on the face. Like dark circles under the eye, and green is good for covering red spots (and hickies!.... hahahhaa....

I have personally found it looks good on most people, but eyeliner is so complicated.... and so hard to explain. But it does all depend on your eyeshape, brow thickness, eyelid space, width of eye, eyelashes...!!! If you have an eyeliner style that you think suits you, then stick with it.

My skin really isn't as nice as it looks! I'm paler than normal because I avoid being under strong sunlight too long because I get heat rash! So it's been a couple of years since I've been to the beach (although I live 5 mins from the beach!).

I use Dove creamy facial cleanser and a face towel to exfoliate. I do that in the shower. After I shower I use makeup remover, then I moisturise (Proactive oil free). And I use Clearisil pore cleaner wipes every 2nd day.

I am just applying khol pencil to the outer 1/2 of the lower eye, underneath the lashline, not in the waterline. And I just blend it across the lower eye with my finger or a brush.
